Centrally located 8 minutes from downtown, providing the ultimate getaway for those seeking solitude and adventure.

The house was lovely and just what we were looking for. the house is quiet, peaceful, and secluded with a short drive to Mentone. The host stayed in touch and was very accommodating.

Great home for a quiet get away. Recently remodeled and beautifully decorated through out. We watched the deer and rabbits feed each morning off of the porch while drinking coffee. What a treat! Great value!

Very peaceful. The cabin was clean upon arrival. Beds were very comfortable bathrooms roomy and clean. The only negative was that some of the rugs could have been and issue if you weren't paying attention But overall would go a stay again.

Beautiful, comfortable cabin !

This cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had no problem keeping the temperature inside very comfortable. The master bed was so comfortable I actually slept in late and never do that ! Furnished nicely and had everything the 2 of us needed. Wifi & internet both worked well. It is very isolated ( at the end of a road) and was quiet , calming and relaxing. The lake on the property is beautiful. We would definitely return for a stay! It was very close to Mentone, DeSoto State Park and Georgia.

50th Birthday weekend for my best friend!

We had a wonderful time at the Whiskey Lake Cabin. It was clean & easy check in & out. The decor was simply amazing & what you'd expect for a cabin on a lake. The beds well let's just say... they're to die for. I'd like to know what kind of mattress is in the master bedroom. I don't believe I've ever slept on a better mattress ever & i'm a picky person when it comes to beds. We saw deer both day's right off the porch. I would give this a 5 star review all the way across the board hands down. So if you're a family or a small party like ours this will be the perfect place for you! Thank you Mrs. Shannon Lydia J. Beautiful property, needs work inside home.

The property is beautiful. The pond has some great fishing, though you can only access a small part of it and even that area was in need of weed eating. There is a camera on the property that is not disclosed before or after booking. The main issue though was with the master bedroom and bathroom. Master bedroom door is lacking proper hardware and will not click shut much less lock. The master bathroom also cannot be locked. There is zero privacy in the master bed/bath as you can lock neither door. None of that was disclosed upon renting. The only issue we were made aware of when we arrived was a cracked area on the bottom of the back door that made opening and closing it more difficult and it eventually broke the rest of the way while we were there. There is also no way to secure the back door lock. It has a basic lock that anyone with the code could unlock while you’re away or sleeping so that is unsettling. The home really is beautiful but not being able to have privacy really sucked. We also found broken glass in and around the fire pit that needs cleaning. All in all we did have a good time here, but the house and yard need a lot of work.

Thanks for your generous Three Star review regarding this “beautiful property” as you describe it. We have made sure that the Master bedroom and Bathroom have working locks so guests can ensure complete privacy from their own travel group! Our threshold which cracked while cleaner was preparing the home for you was repaired right after you stay and yes you were notified as that’s the only issue I was aware of before your stay. We have our camera disclosed in the listing, and it’s very easy to see its location on back deck at the entry door. Most properties have cameras that are mentioned in listings, as well as keyless entry keypads. In fact, keypads are much preferred for safety reasons, more so than traditional keys. Needing doors to be adjusted slightly at the top, so locks work correctly is really no cause to leave for a 3 star review especially when you were checked on and asked your first morning if you had any concerns or issues that we could address. Whiskey Lake is such a special place, and I hope others can see past your poor review of this amazing property that we have worked so hard to bring to our guests.
