Nouvelle construction !!Cabane pittoresque et confortable dans les bois à Mentone Alabama près de DeSoto State Park, DeSoto Falls, Cloudmont Ski & Golf et à seulement quelques minutes de Little River Canyon. Bien que le style et le cadre magnifique créent une atmosphère rustique, les clients ne sont pas à la dure ... cette cabine dispose de 2 lits queen (1 au niveau principal et 1 dans la chambre en mezzanine), 1 salle de bain complète, TV avec satellite et DVD . Cuisine entièrement équipée, CVC central, laveuse et sécheuse le tout dans un environnement non-fumeur et sans animaux. Les planchers, les murs et les armoires en bois naturel élégants avec des appareils modernes et des meubles confortables rendent cette cabine difficile à quitter! Beautiful location and cabin. We did want to let you know about just a few things because it may be important for you to know. We found a watch on the back deck and we left it on the inside kitchen table. We also ran out of warm water in the shower every time we took a shower, whether or not we were using hot water elsewhere. There was a loose or stripped drawer pull on the top left kitchen drawer. It just came off when I opened the drawer. We put it back, but it's still loose. The most impactful thing was a hot then -surprise cold shower. We did have a great time .

this is a very luxurious cabin . We checked in at the height of the heat , and they had left the AC on SIBERIA ‼ it was so cold and clean inside , the bed was very comfortable. But the best part of the stay waa the nice , clean hot tub. We loved how much light was available out back because we could use the hot tub in the wee hours of the morning and feel safe . The cabin was overstocked with anything you would need to cook with , there were plenty clean towels and the rocking chairs on the front porch made for a lovely after dark event . There are other cabins around , but they do not interfere with the privacy of this cabin , it's very secluded and I'd recommend this to a couple that wants to be alone , or a small family

Great Cabin

What a cute cabin! We enjoyed our weekend even though the weather was terrible. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Close to several delicious restaurants and places to hike. So disappointed we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors but the view from the back deck made up for it. It's close to a few other cabins but also still very private. Check in and out was super easy. We definitely plan to make another trip!

Beautiful but…

The area was beautiful but there were neighbors all around. We expected it to be secluded but it wasn’t. The place was small but cozy. The beds were not very comfortable. I would stay in the area again but not in the same cabin.

The Perfect Nest

My fiancé and I were happy with how clean and cozy this cabin is. The central heat was warm quickly for the 20 nights and the wood burning stove helped add a fun touch. Thank you for including wood! The fully stocked kitchen made it easy for us to bake and grill. Minimal cell service, but great wifi if you need to stay connected.

Cozy Cabin with privacy

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was comfortable with everything we needed for some “at home” meals. The hot tub is especially enjoyable after a day of hiking and the cool nights make it even better.Communication with the host was very good and instructions were minimal and easy to follow. Check in and out was very easy also.

Perfect Little Getaway!

Hard to find at night not well lit. Fire pit area needs to be cleaned out to prevent fire hazard.

Really cute cabin. Needs to be more clear directions/address marked on cabin. Needs to be clear directions for TV. Personally we had left jewelry behind and cleaning staff and manager let us know! It was great to get that returned to us!

Hidden Gem - Lovely and Ideal once found

Everything about the Quail’s Nest was top-notch – apart from the driving directions, conflicting street address, and near impossible to see street number/signage from the road in the dark (and it gets dark on the ridge). It took three drive-bys and a flashlight to find. We would love to return for a longer second stay to further explore Desoto State Park and the surrounding area, especially now that we know the road like the back of our hand even in the dark 

Nice getaway

We really enjoyed our visit. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed being at the cabin together with no phones ringing (phone service was hit or miss) but we did not mind. The cabin is perfect for two people or a small family. We did explore several towns in the area and found some unique shops as well as restaurants. Visited several waterfalls in the area. The cabin is central y located to several waterfalls.

Fantastic little cabin

This is a great cabin and we highly recommend it. It turns out that the original cabin was double booked, so the owner gave us a similar cabin next door. It had everything we needed. It was close enough to town to get in if we needed something, but far enough away it felt like respite. The drive up the mountain was easy without too many cliff edges or switchbacks. The interior was clean and appropriately stocked. Great visit and would love to come back!

The cabin was clean, neat and met our needs. We didn’t use loft area since there was only two of us. No issues. Quiet and not too far from the park, park, hiking trails and other pints in interest.

We are Devin and Ivey Dean. We were both born and raised in Fort Payne, AL. and graduated from Fort Payne High School. After attending college, we married in 2011. Beginning in 2017, we purchased our first two cabins and have loved it ever since. Quail's Nest makes our fourth cabin. We love living on Lookout Mtn. and want to share with others the peace and tranquillity we enjoy daily.

We both grew up in the area. We have always enjoyed the outdoors and nature so we wanted to find a way to be able to share that with others. From spring festivals to summer activities, and also the changing of the colors in fall, it is a beautiful area to experience and explore.
