Great family location, we do not cater to a "spring break" crowd. Neighborhood consists of full time homeowners, apartments, hotels restaurants and convenience store and other vacation rentals. We provide beach gear, EV charger, AC, fire pit, outdoor shower. NO TV or WASHER/DRYER. SMALL DOGS OK.

We had a lovely stay at Jim’s property. The feelOf the house was great. When you walk around the house it feels more like you are staying at a friends house and not at a rental property. The walk to the beach was very easy and quick plus Jim had some beach supplies (wagon, chairs and umbrella). We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Perfect for a quiet get away. Very private and beautiful outdoor patio area. The location was ideal for a close walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Jim was a great host. We will be back!!

Anniversary Oasis

It was very Zen and Peaceful, the place was put together very well, it was comfortable safe and secure. We enjoyed our stay. Well equipped with all the comforts of home. Super close to the beach. Outside shower was really cool.Very accomidating. You cant go wrong with choosing this place. We would definitely rebook. Thanks Jim

Paradise

Great location 2 blocks from the beach. Very nice place. Even has a Sparkletts water dispenser in the kitchen. Great yard with fire pit, fountains and tubular bells. Very serene. If I go to Carlsbad again alone or with my wife we’re staying here if it’s available.

UNBELIEVABLE STAY

I have been going to Carlsbad for 15 plus years. This place was the BEST place we have ever stayed at hands down. The owner is on top of everything and the location and amazing courtyard put it over the top. You would be stupid not to select this place for your vacation.

What a wonderful place! Close to the restaurants and close to the beach. Everything is there in the home to make it a special time. What a gem!

Just perfect

This was an absolutely perfect place for our mini getaway! Such a peaceful retreat and fabulous location. We enjoyed going for walks by the beach and into the village. Jim made the visit so comfortable and easy. Can’t wait to visit again.

Our stay was wonderful. And Jim was very thoughtful with everything that he left as instructions in the place. A good surprise was a big screen for my husband to plug in his laptop so he could work and I enjoyed the Carlsbad water that he provided. thank you Jim. We had a great time.

Culinary Bliss in a Historic Beachside Haven

Hands down, this is the best VRBO we've ever stayed at. As avid cooks, we prefer to dine in rather than eat out when vacationing, and this place was perfect for that. The owner provided everything we needed for cooking indoors, plus a BBQ in the yard. One of the amenities we loved was the filtered water in 5-gallon jugs. The amenities throughout the property exceeded our expectations, and we never had to make a store run for anything.When I first saw the photos online, I assumed the yard images were for the entire property, but they were actually for our unit. The residence and yard were incredibly private and relaxing. We even had a delightful chat with the owner one evening about the property's history and his special connection to it. If you love immersing yourself in the local culture, this property, with its proximity to the beach and the owner’s passion for surfing, offers a truly enriching experience. Cozy beach cottage

Exactly as pictured; quant, secluded, very cute and perfect for my family of 3. Outdoor patio has fire pit, water features and wind chimes for ambiance. Just a few blocks from the beach and plenty to walk to re: cafes, restaurants, shopping. Host is extremely communicative and kind. Will stay again!
