Cozy log cabin in the heart of the Green Mountains

Enjoy your next getaway at this cozy and well appointed private family log cabin any season of the year! Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains, the Cabin is centrally located just minutes from biking, hiking trail heads for the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail and skiing with Killington (17 miles), Pico (12 miles) and Okemo (18 miles) just short drives away.

In the warmer weather, spend your days enjoying the swimming pool, outdoor gas grill, fire pit, covered front porch with picnic table and back porch for relaxing, listening to nature, and watching the sunset. A mowed walking trail around the meadow allows you to enjoy all that the Vermont warmer weather seasons have to offer without leaving the property!

There are other extensive outdoor activities in the area, as well as antiquing, outlet shopping and countless other things to do in all seasons. Please don't hesitate to ask for recommendations.

The main level of the Cabin includes hardwood floors, a well appointed new kitchen with some basic pantry items and an updated full bathroom with shampoo and soap. The open living and dining area is highlighted by a cathedral ceiling and a large stone fireplace. There are numerous books, games and puzzles for your entertainment, as well as strong WiFi for streaming any entertainment on your own devices. There is no television.

There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed - one bedroom is on the first floor and the other is directly above on the second floor. Sound carries easily through the rustic floor/ceiling that separates the bedrooms. So, the Cabin is best suited for one couple, a family, or friends who know each other well. Linens are provided and there is a washer and dryer.

The Cabin is one of two properties situated on a 20 acre meadow that has been in our family for three generations; owners are often at the second property. It is conveniently located a few miles from a large grocery store, restaurants and all the amenities of the Rutland area. Yet, it offers the feeling of being in the country. This treasured place is a family home -- we are sure you will enjoy it as much as our family has for more than 50 years.

The cabin was perfect to unwind after a day of skiing and hanging out with good friends. It was perfectly situated near Killington / Pico which made it easy to get out there. Would recommend this place for a quintessential VT experience.

It was a perfect place to stay and still visit my family. It has a nice open floor plan and the grounds are lovely. Would be a great ski cabin as it is very cozy and not too far from ski areas. Summer it was a bit warm but there was a pool to cool off!! And the temps were very hight when we visited!! Overall, would stay again.

Very cozy cabin

What a wonderful little cabin! We had such a nice time and really enjoyed our stay. You can tell the owners truly care about, not only their well loved cabin, but also their guests. There were plenty of towels and blankets, multiple chargers for electronics, different games, a nice radio for some music, and lots of firewood for nice cozy evenings. We felt very relaxed during our stay and would absolutely stay again!

Perfect weekend getaway

We had a very pleasant weekend at this cozy cabin. The proximity to Killington/Pico is good and it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of skiing. The cabin truly felt like a home and the fireplace was a nice touch. The host was communicative leading up to and during our stay. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect getaway!

What a great spot! Looks just like the pictures - cozy and rustic but with the amenities of a modern bath and kitchen (that’s fully stocked) along with comfortable beds and nice linens. We had a wonderful few days and can’t wait to come back in the winter - including to put the beautiful fireplace to use. Highly recommend.

We booked a last minute weekend getaway to wrap up the summer before the school year started up again. What a great little spot! Super clean, and included every amenity you could need. We had an incredible time swimming in the amazing pool, grilling on the deck, and enjoying the peace and quiet. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy it during different seasons. I’m sure it’s amazing when the leaves change, and a fire in their incredible fireplace must be awesome during the cold winter. We appreciated our time at the cabin so much! Highly recommend!!

A beautiful spot in a fantastic area

We found this cabin serendipitously and what a find it was! Feels so remote but is minutes from downtown Rutland, where we found some great restaurants and shops, a farmer's market, and more. Kristina was a welcoming host and her recommendations were perfect. The cabin was a great spot for our little family, and the pool was a great perk for the last weekend of summer. We loved Vermont and this area and we will be back.

The cabin is as listed, very charming and well appointed. It was very clean, beautifully furnished, and the kitchen was fully equipped for family cooking. The host had house stapples available should you need it. We enjoyed the fireplace everyday and the host graciously shared its firewood. All the amenities worked well. Following the host recommendation we managed to have 4 showers/day with the dishwasher and some laundry by spacing them so that we always had hot water and good water pressure. It sits on a beautiful flat 20 acres where kids can play around. The cabin is 25-30 min from Killington, with a flat driveway to a road that is plowed. The drive is very pleasant and safe, going through Rutland should you need groceries. The host is always responsive. We loved our stay and are planning to rent again next year!

Adorable and Wonderful!

The cabin was perfect for a family of four with smaller kids. The kids shared the upper room. The cabin is small but well laid out and very comfortable. It's a great location for hiking, but a short distance to Rutland if you need more urban amenities. We had a great time!

Wonderful Family Stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in the charming and cozy cabin. Location can't be beat, we were able to visit family nearby and go skiing at Killington, a short drive away. My two boys really enjoyed playing in the snow and taking in the breathtaking views of the property and mountains surrounding us. Kitchen was well stocked and the home was very comfortable for a family of 4. Ample amount of firewood provided to help warm up the house during colder days. The host was very friendly and responsive, thanks for a great stay!

This property exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a tranquil location to reset from everyday life and this location did just that. The location itself was perfect as you felt separated from the world but a 3 min drive away is grocery stores, shopping, dining, ect. I highly recommend staying here as I know I will return.

Little slice of heaven

This property is an amazing find. Do not pass it up. The peaceful nature and views are amazing. Feels secluded yet three miles from town with everything you need. No TV no problem this is a place to unwind, unplug and charge those batteries from a hectic routine. The pool was great and the cabin was cozy. Loved every minute of our stay!!!
