Lakefront cottage with stone patio includes a private dock for you to dock at or swim from - a floating raft to swim out to and sunbathe on, a new deck to take in the spectacular lake view. Outside dining spaces with umbrellas over the tables, a gas grill for cooking. Two kayaks are available with lifejackets. An open cathedral main room welcomes you to gather in, overlooks the water and is fully equipped with all the things youâd expect in a lake cottage. A newly renovated main bedroom sits privately off with access to a new bath with oversized shower and glass doors. There is a quiet office nook if you need to do a little work. The guest bedroom has two built-in twin beds with a built in desk between. A hallway nook has bunk beds from when the cottage was built in the 50âs for extra guests and is perfect for kids.
With newly installed heat pumps if the breeze from the lake doesnât keep you cool then you can turn on the air conditioning.
The house was perfect for our stay. We especially liked the separate master suite. Everything we needed was provided and the host was very communicative with us. We are looking forward to coming back again next year!
My husband and I loved our stay. Lee was communicative and the property was just as expected. Swimming, kayaking, grilling. It was an ideal lake retreat. We highly recommend. Plus the grass fed, organic farms nearby are a major plus.
This guest house was so well cared for, including the smallest of details. It overlooked beautiful Lake St. Catherine throughout the home, with comfortable outside chairs, table and magnificent lake views. We had the best nightâs sleep in the master guest suite. The owner was so thoughtful, even left us the most delicious muffins to help celebrate my husbandsâs 75th birthday. Lively lake cottage .
We stayed four nights, and enjoyed it very much. We have a history with lake houses, so the disadvantages (no dishwasher, no laundry, bottled drinking water) were for us expected and necessary to be in such a place. The kayaking was great and the ambiance restful. Little touches like the automatic light in the pot and pan cabinet showed their care for their home. The design put the master on the lake side so we heard nothing of road noise. We may well return.
My 14 year old son and I took a few days to relax over the school break. Lee has done a beautiful job making this cottage so welcoming and comfortable. The cottage was immaculately clean with plenty of lists of things to do locally and not so locally. All the beautiful lake motif touches were perfect. Plenty of spices, paper goods, pots and pans if you felt like grilling or cooking. The deck overlooking the lake was perfect. We will be back.
Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful lakefront, all of the amenities, and all the little extras! Owner was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Accommodations were very comfortable, and care was clearly taken to be sure we had what we needed to get right to relaxing!
We had a lovely late fall stay. The cottage had everything we needed, including s'mores sticks--and more besides. Tastefully decorated, very clean. Was a treat to see loons, bald eagle, and a pileated woodpecker. Friendly neighbors. Lee is a wonderful and communicative host.
Great property and location. Lake Saint Catherine is lovely and this cabin offered perfect sunset views. You could not be any closer to the lake. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathrooms are newly renovated as was the master suite. The outside deck and patio were great for our fall get away. The cabin easily accommodated our family of 4. We will definitely be coming back.
The cottage was perfect! It was clean and well maintained. The host was great and left lots of suggestions for places to eat and things to do.
It was located close to some great hikes and some cute country stores. I also enjoyed the winery that was a quick 5 minute drive down the road.
The fishing was great. Lots of bass and pan fish right off the dock. The kayaks at the cottage were perfect for paddling around the lake.
I was a solo traveler, but this would be a great cottage for a family to enjoy. Plenty of space for sleeping and lounging around the cottage.
This house was a good location to explore VT. The most amazing thing about this home was all the thought put into the extras. There was plenty of towels, bath beach and dish. There were kayaks available. Plenty of cleaning supplies and paper products. The master had been renovated and was very comfortable to stay in. Th only drawback is that the home is close to the highway so quite bit of noise if just sitting outside.
Right from the start, our trip was amazing. Check in was easy and we walked into a well maintained and clean property, with plenty of space for our family of 4. The cottage itself offers stunning views of the lake from both inside the property and out. There are 3 kayaks for guests to use, as well as a grill and small fire pit- all of which were great for spending time outside! We were fortunate enough to be blessed by gorgeous weather for the majority of our stay, but when it did rain there was plenty to do inside. This included a variety of games and large flat screen tv for when we wanted to watch a movie with the kids. The kitchen was also well equipped and had everything that we needed.
When we weren't spending time at the cottage, we were busy exploring the surrounding area, which did not disappoint. Lee was an extremely thoughtful host, providing us with a huge binder filled with places to check out and explore- we found this to be very useful!
Overall, I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!
The swimming and fishing was great. The house was lovely and very clean. We went to the State Park 2 times.
It was enjoyable to just sit, relax,,read and make smores.
