Overall it was an ok place to stay. Some of tthe cleanliness things and lack of supplies were hard to overlook, and affected our stay. I would not stay there again.
First impressions are important. The exterior of the house could really benefit from a good power wash. Inside, the house was adequate. Tight for the listed 8 people. The house was conveniently situated to take advantage of local attractions. Overall, an adequate property but nothing really special.
The location is incredible - just a few minutes walk from the beach and the Hampton Beach strip. We slept 6 easily and comfortably. Would definitely stay here again.
This house was great! The location was perfect as it was just a short walk to Hampton Beach but in a nice, private location. The rooms were all super clean and the beds were comfortable. Views from the porches were excellent. Wish we had stayed longer!
It's not a quick walk to the beach, but that's not why you shouldn't choose this property. That's because it was so dirty we spent the first few hours cleaning dirt off the fridge, sofa, dining room table, removing vegetables from the kettle, and wiping down the bathroom The cutlery and dishes were all textured with dirt. And after less than 24 hours the heating broke and couldn't be repaired. We're still waiting to hear whether we're going to get a refund for our aborted stay
There was multiple places to visit so it was designed for a reunion at the beach. We went in the off-season and we had bad weather but if you go when it is sunny, it would be great. It was very quiet so if want to get away from the noise of the city - this is the place.
Mostly clean and comfortable stay. Reasonably fast internet for a working holiday, and an abundant supply of towels and toiletries. On windy days there is a loud rattling sound that can be distracting during work, but nothing unsafe.
The property is very close to the beach which is terrific. The second floor of the house was perfect for a great getaway. The technology worked perfectly. The bottom floor looked barren and dreary. The house was fairly clean and the appliances were modern.
Average home with a distant view of the ocean. Shower is old. Toilet wouldnât flush and we had to manually flush all weekend.
One serious cleaning issue I am too kind to write.
Nice decorative pillows . Close to restaurants and stores. I am very thankful for the local Vacasa rep in York.
I loved that the main floor was on the 3rd level. You could enjoy the view of your surroundings. The beds were comfortable and there was extra blankets available. I was dissapointed that the two twin beds were a twin bed and a pull out trundle. It was a girls getaway (we are all retired), so getting up from the floor level was not as easy as when we were young. That being said we all enjoyed our stay
The pros: The location was excellent; close to boardwalk and North Hampton to make it a few minutes to the beach and action in either direction. The place was very spacious (rooms and floors) for our group to hang together or spread out when we wanted some quiet time. The deck was wonderful to enjoy sunset and some ocean views.
The cons: Not the cleanest; floors were noticeably dirty in every room. The beds were very uncomfortable, even for the younger folk. The top floor bed squeaked so bad, family members didn't sleep well. Not much decent cookware, bring your own.
Our family of four stayed here for a weekend with grandma and grandpa. The downstairs has two bedrooms plus a sitting area with pull out couch that worked well as a third bedroom so the kids could each have their own room. The upstairs has one more bedroom near the living room and kitchen. There are two ample balconies to enjoy the sea breeze. The top balcony provides partial views of the beach/ocean. Opening up the sliding doors, you can enjoy the smells of the sea throughout the house.
The managers were also very responsive. One of the closet door handles had broken off previously, the shower door fell off, there were no sheets for the pull-out bed, and there were only a few coffee filters left. The manager sent a person who fixed all of these elements while we were out on the second day.
There was one issue with cleanliness; my daughter found hairs and stains on her bed pillow. There were a few other pillows like that. My pillow appeared to be clean, but now I have an eye infection two days later and am at the doctorâs to get medicine. The cleaners may not be changing sheets after each guest, which was a complaint in a Vacasa review in Aug.
If you plan to cook, be forewarned, itâs not a well-equipped kitchen. For frying pans, there is only a six inch. There is a larger one, but the handle is broken sitting in the cabinet next to it. There are no baking pans, but there are baking sheets. There is no peeler for potatoes, carrots, apples. Most knives are dull, etc.
It was a nice and clean house but the internet went out on our third day and wasnât fixed and one of the sliding glass doors we couldnât lock because the deadbolt was completely missing so we had to jam the door so weâd feel it was safer and the neighbors are way closer then we thought they would be other than those things we enjoyed our stay
The house was as listed and provided plenty of space for our family to eat and hang out together. Beds were comfortable. Towels plentiful and nice quality. Heat worked. Plenty of hot water. We just have two suggestions for improvement: the dishwasher does not clean dishes at all. Not even a little. The kitchen tools are there but are so cheap they hardly work-a spatula shouldnât bend under a pancake. All the knives are extremely dull.
