House lived up to all the pictures! They also had all the beach towels, umbrellas, toys, boards, etc you could want. Great location. We had an amazing family vacation.

Thank you for the perfect rating and happy you had a great time and made amazing memories! It is definitely a special spot. Unfortunately La Jolla isn't the best place to find deals on vacation rentals but compared to some of our neighbors we are still reasonable for the area (almost 50% less/night for this particular date) and currently only 1 of 2 homes available on the Shores! So it is definitely the location that keeps the rates up in this particular neighborhood! But we think this home is definitely worth the splurge and we have plenty of amenities to go with it!

We loved the location and the house. Through the whole process, Cindy was so helpful and accommodating. Would love to be able to come back and enjoy the beach, watching the surfers and enjoying the cove. A very special place.

Great spot right on the beach

We stayed with our four children and had a wonderful time. The house is right on the beach and we enjoyed the views and walking right onto the sand.

Beach break

Property was great - just as advertised. Cindy and her team were in contact often and so nice and helpful. The weather and the beach view out of the picture windows were what we needed.

Great views of the ocean and beach--we had a lot of fun! One thing to note is that the beach is a surfing beach, so you have to walk a bit in either direction if you want to swim during the day. Or, you can just surf, and then there is no restriction!

For anyone reading this review...the lifeguards move the surf lines based on the currents, waves, tides etc. It isn't always in front of the home! But the beach itself is only 1 mile long end to end and this unit right in the middle!

Perfect family Easter weekend

We had a family holiday at this property- while the weather was chilly. The hot tub, fire table and picture windows kept us entertained. Walking distance to restaurants, market, coffee and ice cream The house has everything you could ask for and more!

AMAZING!!!

The set up and location was perfect!!! Stunning views to wake up to, my kids loved to hit the beach right after breakfast and stayed out there all day. This is the perfect get away for a large family. Common areas were well thought out, clean area for the beach equipment, artificial turf so we don't track as much sand in the house, and all the beach toys you need. I really enjoyed our time there and will definitely book again.

The house is on one of the best beaches in the world. Surfing, swimming, boogie boarding, sand dollar searching, seal watching, dolphin watching, Jeff Burgers, walking distance to village, park.... Plus the house is awesome as well. Big picture window, sand area for kids to play above the beach, hot tub, surf board, paddle board..... A joy to stay here

5 days with best friends and thier kids. Could not have asked for a better experience. The rooms are set up for privacy and loved that each room had seperate enterance. Steps to the beautiful beach and walking minutes to restaurants. Short ride to La Jolla to enjoy shopping for adults and San Diego Zoo for the kids! Love love love this place!

No better location in La Jolla than this

The location was perfect and the views were spectacular. The house is perfect for several couples or a larger family. Very nice open living area facing the water and nice patio below. We would definitely return. One comment: One of the five bedrooms is very small and I would say not really comfortable for more than one person. On the other hand, another bedroom is huge and could easily sleep 4 as advertised.

Family Trip

This was a family trip for my husband's side. We had his parents, his sister with her husband and two teenagers, and us. The house had plenty of space for all 8 of us, and the teens were thrilled to have their own rooms! We cooked several meals, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed plus the table sat all of us. We LOVED the firepit and watched the sunset with a fire every night. The views from the house are incredible!!! Just a short walk to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants. It was truly a magical vacation and beautiful home!

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in La Jolla. The house could not have been in a better location. You walked out of the backyard and you were on the beach. Truly amazing. It appears the owners are updating rooms, since the kitchen and Master Bath were recently remodeled. The house is a little older and right on the beach, but it has a lot of character and everything you need for a great stay. We did not need a single thing that was not provided. The house has plenty of space. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and didn’t even use one of the bedrooms. I highly recommend this property.

The location of this home is absolutely magical! We spent two glorious weeks enjoying the five star views, daily beach walks and swims, walks to La Jolla Shores restaurants and longer walks to La Jolla Cove shopping and restaurants. The home is so convenient to the airport, harbor, downtown and tourist attractions, it’s the perfect spot to post up for all your San Diego adventures.Views, views, views! I’m completely ruined for any future beach rentals. I doubt there is a home with better views and beach access than this one.The home is comfortably appointed and provides space for everyone to gather but also good separation of sleeping areas. We had several bbq dinners in the lovely courtyard. The kitchen was one of the better stocked BNB kitchens I’ve seen. We love to cook and appreciated having everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the generous supply of bath and beach towels were appreciated.The host was responsive and helpful. Check in was smooth and we were grateful to drop our bags upon our early morning arrival and start exploring the area.I can’t really think of anything I would change or do differently. The home is not fancy or luxurious, but it delivers a one of a kind location with thoughtful touches and welcoming spaces. 10 out of 10!!!
