Fais ta valise! Cette location de vacances ensoleillée de deux chambres au deuxième étage récemment rénovée a tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour profiter d'une escapade relaxante au bord de la mer. Situé dans la section Easton's Point de Middletown adjacente à St. George's School, cette location dispose d'une cuisine entièrement équipée, et tous les draps sont fournis, y compris quatre serviettes de plage. Il y a un lit queen et deux lits jumeaux dans les chambres, et le porche trois saisons a un futon en taille réelle pour dormir plus. Revenez de la plage après une glorieuse journée au soleil et profitez de rafraîchissements sur le pont de la chambre principale, ou détendez-vous dans la cour et faites griller un steak! Oh oui, il y a deux places de parking attribuées à cette location.

Les plages First (Easton's) et Second (Sachuest) sont à moins d'un mile pour ceux qui souhaitent marcher. Sachuest Beach at Surfers End propose certains des meilleurs spots de surf du Rhode Island. Le célèbre Newport Cliff Walk est à environ 1,6 km. Marchez jusqu'à certains restaurants et pubs locaux, y compris la célèbre Flo's Clam Shack! Un court trajet jusqu'à Bellevue Ave., Newport Harbor et Thames Street.

Un endroit parfait pour explorer toute l'année historique de Newport! Comfortable stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. Barb and Ed were wonderful hosts! The house was close to everything we wanted to see. The house was well stocked with thoughtful extras and the beds were comfortable for a great nights sleep. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Amazing!

Barb & Ed are amazing hostesses and really thought of just about everything for your stay. The VRBO was quiet, calm, and cozy. Would recommend this to families of 4 or less or 2 couples max.

Graduation stay

We had a perfect stay while attending my daughter’s graduation. The location was perfect for us and the hospitality was wonderful. Clean rooms, plenty of towels etc.

Adorable & Close proximity to everything

We stayed for a long weekend and we’re impressed by how clean and spacious the property was. It was in close proximity to Newport, but also much quieter.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Barb and Ed’s place. The rental was clean and spacious. The location was fantastic. It was a very quick and easy drive into Newport. Perfect Stay

This upper floor of a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood was perfect for our 3-night stay. It was very cozy with with plenty of room for 3 adults, comfy beds, full kitchen, and more. We especially loved the 2nd floor deck, from which you could smell and faintly hear the ocean, plus the beautifully landscaped gardens below. Location was ideal for access to 3+ local beaches, mansion tours, cliff walk, and great restaurants in Newport as well as within walking distance from home. We also enjoyed visiting with the hosts and their adorable dog. I only wish our stay could have been longer!

Wonderful Time

My sister, myself and a family friend came in for a cousin's wedding in Newport and had a wonderful couple of days here. Barbara and Ed were very kind and communicative, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their recommendations for the area were also spot on, and I would absolutely book again for a longer trip!

Perfect weekend away!

We had the best weekend at Barbara and Ed’s! It was our first time traveling as a family of 4, and we had everything we needed. Great location to beaches and restaurants, very comfortable bed, very clean and relaxing. Ed and Barbara were great hosts. We will definitely be back next year!

Location, location, location. With benefits.

Brilliant hosts: caring and unobtrusive. The flat above their house is a mile from everything — three beaches, the town centre, restaurants (closer, really) — yet a calm oasis, too. Well stocked and supplied, clean and very comfortable. Truly excellent.

Sweet, cozy, comfortable

We loved our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious and cozy. The deck off the bedroom was lovely for relaxing and listening to the birds. Our daughters enjoyed the relaxing living room and bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the well organized kitchen and loved being able to have simple meals in such a homey space. Wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly and made us feel at home.

Don’t pass this one up! Beautifully decorated warm and cozy! We were going to a wedding on a very rainy day and Barbara lent us umbrellas. Location is just an 8 minute drive to downtown Newport. We really enjoyed our stay

Seaside Escape was awesome!

We had a beautiful birthday/Easter weekend at SE. Barbara and Ed were super welcoming hosts, the rental was immaculate and cozy. We loved our time there and will definitely return! We also loved the proximity to Salve Regina (where our daughter will be for the next 3 years) and all the classic Newport attractions. Plus we could bring our dog, who our daughter misses a lot! We also appreciated the comprehensive binder of local attractions that Barbara and Ed had for the guests. Can't wait to return! Thank you!

NYE in Newport (Middletown)

We loved our stay! Great property and owners, great location, dog friendly, kids had a blast. It was great that sheets and linens and shower towels were provided. Very clean. Fenced yard for dog. It was perfect for our little last minute NYE getaway from NJ. Ed and Barb were wonderful and we will definitely be back!

Loved this place. Roomy, clean, Barbara and Ed were great hosts.

Barbara and Ed were great hosts and made our stay easy and comfortable. When there were only 6 bath towels for two of us, Barbara made sure she sent up more. There was ample space for more than the two of us and if we need to bring our kids, we will definitely stay here again. Great outside space, both on the 2nd floor and in the yard. Great location to restaurants and to Easton Beach. You won't go wrong renting this place!

Just Great

A great rental, fully furnished apartment with two bedrooms, complete kitchen, living room, porch with place to sleep, and outside terrace. Quiet, residential neighbourhood. Excellent host. Great value for money. Downtown Newport just seven minutes away by car, very easy drive. About ten minutes brisk walk to Second Beach. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Newport.

Cute, safe, clean, and comfortable!

We stayed with Barb and Eddie for a few nights while house-hunting on the island. They were wonderful hosts! It was the perfect spot for my husband, two young kids, and mother. My son (6) loved sleeping on the porch, and my mom said the twin beds were comfortable. There was even a nice deck off the master bedroom! There was a fenced backyard with picnic tables which was nice for the kids. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and fully stocked, and we felt very much at home. We walked to First Beach with the kids, and there was a playground two blocks away. There were several awesome restaurants within a five-minute drive. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, look no further! Perfect place for families or couples needing to get away!

Easy driving distance to Newport attractions and beaches

This very clean apartment is situated above the main house in a residential neighborhood about 2 miles from Newport center. It’s about 3/4 mile from the closest beach that I could find. I was traveling solo as a new transfer to the East Coast at Thanksgiving time with my well-travelled, beach loving dog. I didn’t give 5 stars only because the apartment was not quite as private and as close to beach as I thought. Also there was an issue with locks to the common entrance as I got locked out 3 times (1st time my fault as I had assumed that the keys supplied would open the entrance door from the back deck). In warmer seasons, the location is likely to be more walkable. Hosts were responsive and hospitable.

Very clean, close to shops & beaches

My family & I really enjoyed staying in Barbara & Ed's place for our bookend weekend of the Newport Folk & Newport Jazz Festivals. The house & property is well maintained with everything in working order and located in a attractive residential area. The place was spotless, had plenty of bedding - as well as comfortable beds - and the right amount of kitchen amenities including a Keurig machine and a washer/dryer in the basement. We enjoyed hanging out on the balcony/porch to eat breakfast, and later to enjoy the stars. As we were also on a working vacation, the strong wifi was appreciated! The location was ideal for our trips into Newport, to the grocery store and wonderful eateries, such as Flat Waves Food Shack & Custom House Coffee, both on Aquidneck Avenue. The food at nearby Diego's Barrio Cantina was also excellent. We spent a day biking the trail from Bristol to Providence, which was flat, well paved & scenic. We also enjoyed a late afternoon sail on the schooner Madeline which left from Bannister Wharf in Newport, enjoying the waters of Narragansett Bay. Newport has plenty of free parking especially if you venture out around 4pm as the 2 hour parking limit ends at 6 pm on the streets close to the center of town. We enjoyed our conversations with Barbara & Ed who gave great suggestions for free concerts and other happenings around Newport and checked in with us to be sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for providing the perfect place to spend our precious family vacation time and we look forward to staying with you on our next visit to Middletown/Newport.

Ed and I have been married 58 years. We have two children, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one dog, a Labradoodle named George.

We have been vacationing in Newport for many years and decided it was time to purchase our own 'Seaside Escape'! We retired here and thoroughly enjoy all that Acquidneck Island has to offer - relaxing, exploring, dining out - we could go on and on! Most importantly, we enjoy meeting so many great people, some of whom have become good friends.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This sunny vacation rental is close enough to walk, bike or ride to all of the wonderful activities in and around Newport, including both First and Second Beaches. Our location offers an escape from the crowds and tourists at the end of the day. It has a beautiful yard our renters can enjoy for grilling and relaxing and a deck/balcony off the master bedroom.
