FOREST HOUSE is a wonderfully peaceful home to visit on beautiful Orcas Island, in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington State. This one-bedroom home is situated near the north shore of Orcas with distant views toward the Salish Sea surrounding the island. Guests arrive via a one-hour ferry ride from Anacortes, Washington on the mainland. Your visit begins when you get on the ferry and leave your cares behind.

This is the most unique home you will find anywhere in the Islands to rent. It has very unique architecture featuring fine wood interiors, round rooms joined by interior corridors and expansive exterior decks with water views. Look carefully at the pictures for this listing as they tell the story. Romantic, peaceful, charming, comfortable, and your hideaway for the time of your stay.

Featured on King 5 Seattle Evening News when it was known as Hobbit House. Also filmed in a show called Treehouse Masters season 11, Episode 11. Much has changed since then as the owners have lavished their care on this home. New owners are upgrading this summer so that your enjoyment of your visit can be even better.

Unique attributes are the well-equipped kitchen with a four-burner gas stove with oven and a over/under refrigerator with freezer above. Countertops are hand made from wood as are several drawers. Large capacity stacked washer and dryer included for guest use.

The circular living room includes a 55” wall-hung smart TV with Roku featuring Netflix and Prime Video. The under television soundbar and Blue ray DVD player complete the entertainment options. This room also has a comfortable, large sofa and sitting chair, plus easy access to the large outdoor deck environment.

The main bedroom features an excellent king mattress and skylight above for that romantic evening when going to bed. The bedroom is in its own private, separate portion of the home. Reach it from the kitchen via another outdoor deck area. The tower hosts a small studio for painting or yoga on the first floor, and spiral staircase leads to a sleeping loft outfitted with a luxury queen bed.

Then there is the deep soaking tub (accessed via steps) with hand-held shower attachment in its own round room between the living room and the kitchen. Across the hall is a single vanity with a custom sink and toilet together.

As mentioned above, it’s all about the pictures. Because this home has been listed on TripAdvisor for the last 10 years it has over a hundred rave reviews that cannot be transferred to this listing because it is no longer on TripAdvisor. Everyone loves this property. See you on Orcas!
