This delightful little house was perfect for our stay! We attended a show at the beautiful Warner Theatre (which I highly recommend) and the location was convenient to the venue and anything else you want to do in Erie. The house was the cleanest and freshest of any vrbo we have booked ( and we book a lot of them ). Very comfortable with everything you need. Great updated bathroom and shower and even a washer and dryer. At our age it's nice to have a first floor bedroom option too. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and access was easy with the horseshoe driveway. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!!

This house was perfect for our stay in Erie! It was well supplied, clean and cozy. We enjoyed the lovely back porch and yard. The owner is very nice and communicative, which is always so nice when you stay in an unfamiliar home! We will definitely be booking this home again when we need a place to stay in Erie.

Wonderful house

We enjoyed our stay and the owner was wonderful. The house was incredibly clean, a great size for our family of 6. You can tell a lot of thought was put into a comfortable stay for guests! We will definitely stay here again.

Hi Joan — wow, what a surprising review! I’m very sorry about the dog hair outside the house, and I’ve passed that on to the cleaning team. But it’s quite inappropriate to gouge a host for something like that, especially when you never mentioned anything about it. A 3-star review is for major safety and health issues; a 4-star review is when there are issues that the host fails to address. If you had brought this up and we ignored you, we’d deserve a 4-star for failing to live up to what promised, but this is a bit over the top. Before you stay at another VRBO, please take some time to familiarize yourself with community guidelines and rating scales so you can treat the next host fairly, even if it’s too late to be honest for us.

Cleanest I've ever stayed in

This house is charming and spectacularly clean. The water pressure was great. Of course, I love the red refrigerator! There is a large selection of good coffee available that we enjoyed. Rt.79 is easy to exit from and enter, and it's easy to get to anywhere in Erie that you want to from this location. The mall with lots of shops and restaurants is one exit away on 79 if you like/need to do that. We enjoyed our stay and will book here should we visit Erie again.

Good place to stay for a fishing trip

Close to the bay with an adequate driveway for 2 boats. Also felt safe leaving our gear out all night. The house was good for what we needed, slept 4 comfortably and big back porch. Inside was clean and tidy but outside needed a little attention. No big deal

Convenient and clean

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean, and centrally located. We like to prepare breakfast at home, and were very impressed with the well appointed kitchen. Sharp knives, lots of utensils particularly! The bed was comfy and Hulu is one of our favorite streaming stations. Our host was responsive although we encountered no problems. Thank you for a great stay!

Great communication and very clean!!

This was a great property! Few minutes from Presque Isle and Maria's tasty treats ice cream down the street was amazing! We walked to it one night. The host had numerous proactive communications and was so easy to deal with! The place was very clean! Easy access instructions and the place had everything we needed. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room!

Enjoyed our stay at the Erie Cottage. The accomodations were fine. Beds were comfortable, as were the pillows. A/C was a blessing! Conversations with Ted, the owner, were prompt and complete. Well-maintained home

My family really enjoyed the convenience of this house to neighborhood parks and the local ice cream shop, Maria's! The house was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was very responsive and helpful when the wifi went out the one day. Presque Isle State Park is beautiful and we enjoyed splashing in the water with our dog. When we brought him back to the house we were pleased to find a hose so we could give him a bath before going inside. The yard was nice and quiet to sit in during the evenings. Overall a wonderful stay, we would return.

Great Lake Escape

Planned a quick getaway to celebrate our daughters graduation. Everything was wonderful and the home was by far the cleanest we’ve stayed in. This rental had all amenities needed for a comfortable stay with pleasant additions such as coffee and tea. The convenient location allowed quick access to all our favorite areas, eliminating unnecessary travel time. We thoroughly enjoyed coffee on the quiet patio and our furbaby loved playing in the backyard. The owner, Ted, was courteous and helpful, providing an easy check-in/check-out process and very responsive to questions. Highly recommend!!

Perfect Location

This was the perfect house for our family of 5 while we attended a sports tournament in Erie. From the beginning Ted was great at communicating and keeping us informed before our stay. He was very responsive during the stay and he and his wife have everything you need as far as amenities. Coffee bar was fantastic! Bedroom layouts were just what we needed and his place is very clean, modern, and you just feel at home. You are on a busy road so traffic can be a little loud but sound/white noise machines we brought did the trick and you couldn’t really hear it. Back porch is really cozy and a nice grill if you want to cook out. This place has everything and I highly recommend if coming to Erie to enjoy the city, lake, or whatever brought you here. Ted’s place is the one to rent!! Jeff

Found a critter in our bed

We were supposed to have an early check-in, but there were some issues Where it put them a little bit behind. We got there late., Unloaded our vehicle, then my husband wanted to take a half hour nap before our evening, so he pulled the sheet down in the downstairs bedroom and found a Live bug. I am not quite sure what kind of bug it was, however, I knew that we just could not stay there.. We did not get a chance to check the other beds nor did we get a chance to Look at this bed to see if there were any more. The host told us that it was one bug and that Basically, he would not refund us. I don’t know about you, but I would never tell my husband or child, nor myself to lay my head down on a pillow where I found a bug, especially not knowing what it was. It’s not like a hotel where they could just give you another room to stay in. This was my first experience with Vrbo and unfortunately this has ruined us so we probably will not be back. We were only there for 20 minutes and then we drove around Erie looking for a place to stay. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Since Ted’s work (serving in the US Marine Corps) keeps us bouncing around the globe, we like to have a place to come home to and reset – and a place we can share with others until we finally settle down. So kick back, relax, and make the best of Erie!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This cottage is in the middle of town and therefore close to literally everything! Super convenient to restaurants, stores, the mall, bars and brewpubs, city parks, the shore and beaches -- you won't have to drive far to get to it all. And it's also right off the interstate so there's no winding through town trying to find it after a long drive into town.
