Odor When my service received the odor complaint on Saturday, the day of check-in, they responded immediately taking along deodorizers. The lady who responded said she recognized no unusual odor but left the deodorizers anyway. On the following day, Sunday, an appliance technician visited to check the dishwasher. He was specifically instructed to see if there was an odor and if it was emanating from the dishwasher. He reported that he noticed no unusual odor at all. On the day of checkout my cleaning service made a thorough search for unusual odor and none was found. Dishwasher I am sorry the emergency after-hours responder did not consider a midnight call reporting a dishwasher malfunction to be an immediate emergency. When I opened my email at 9:30 on Sunday morning and saw the email sent to me at 12:56 AM Sunday morning, I checked my service and was told they had already arranged to have an appliance repair technician inspect and repair the dishwasher. A technician arrived on the site at 10 AM on Sunday morning. The technician’s report was that there was water in the dishwasher because the dishwasher door was opened before the cycle was complete which stopped the machine. Then all the wrong buttons were pressed which locked up the machine. The technician reset the machine and ran several test cycles, all of which were successful. The technician left a note explaining the correct use of the machine. Frankly I was happy that my service was able to get a competent dishwasher technician to come on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to do a repair. Thankfully the malfunction was caused by operator error and could be reset without need for parts which would certainly not have been available on that week-end. The two cups pointed out that were stained …probably by tea or coffee have been corrected.
