Step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax with your family and/or friends at this quiet, secluded cabin surrounded by the Tonto National Forest. Plenty of great nearby trails, and magnificent views of the Mogollon Rim. Three apple trees in front that provide great shade as well as late dinner for the elk. Plenty of room for up to 6 guests (4 adults) with all the comforts of home including a fully stocked kitchen. A great place to unwind and truly relax. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and two twin beds in the other. Two bathrooms, both with showers only. We have a futon that turns into a double size bed in the living room. A TV with a smart Blu Ray player is available with a wide selection of DVDs and Blu Rays to enjoy. We also have a phone booster to help using hotspots, no Wi-Fi available. A large porch to sit under and enjoy the birds, reading a book or playing card and board games. Seating in the front yard with a propane fire pit, perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the amazing night skies. You will find a propane BBQ grill located in the backyard to whip up that perfect meal. The property is fenced in for everyone to enjoy and your pets to safely run and play. The cabin is located about 30 minutes from Mogollon Rim and all the great lakes and hiking trails, located along the 300 road. One of our favorite hiking trails, Horton Creek, is about 4 miles away and a joy during any season!
My cousin & I went to celebrate our birthdays with our dogs. This cabin fit all our needs! Fenced yard, big porch, BBQ grill, everything we needed. Our dogs had a great time! We had a very relaxing time too! Great place for walks & just enjoying life! The owners were amazing too! Hope to come up & stay again really soon!
This was our second time at this property. It was just as good as the first. The host is amazing, the cabin is quaint and peaceful and the surrounding area is beautiful.
Very peaceful ! Cabin was clean, well stocked with dishes, cooking pans utensils, toiletries (even for the women), bbq, lawn chairs, bedding, & on & on & on... hardly saw any people during our stay. Very pet friendly ! Extremely good place to decompress from "lifes offerings" ! Recomended 100% but must plan ahead as this place, as expected, is booked up well in advance.
My pups and I felt so welcomed and relaxed here! By far the most dog friendly place weâve stayed. The property is beautiful, quiet and so peaceful. Thank you Deb, for a much needed escape from the heat and chaos of the city life :)
My boyfriend and I wanted to do a camping trip before our son is born in August but being 7.5 months pregnant, tent camping didnt sound fun. We stumbled across this cabin and decided to give it a shot and we are so glad we did. From the second we booked Deb was in contact with us on how to get there and instructions on check in and check out. She answered all our questions. Once we got there we were amazed at how quiet and beautiful the area was. The cabin was exactly what we needed and more. The fact we could bring our pups with us was another plus to the place. We felt right at home and so relaxed when we arrived. We sat on the porch and watched the birds in the apple trees up front. Our dogs loved running around the fenced in yard. At night we enjoyed dinner and sat outside and stargazed then settled in for the night and watched movies. Mornings were spent drinking coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet. During the day we went and explored Tonto creek and let the dogs play in the water which was not only fun for them but us too. On our last night we enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood and stargazed. We got a nice surprise of an Elk in the neighbors yard around 11 pm. Deb was wonderful and responded to us fast when we had a question or our dog toy went over the fence. She even let us know about a fire on 87S that could affect our drive home. Overall we are extremely happy with our stay and will definitely be coming back in the near future once our son is born.
Deb was very helpful and the cabin was just what we needed! Our pups loved being free to run safely around the fenced yard. Would definitely stay again!
Very spacious with all the amenities. It was so much fun watching all the different types birds singing around the bird feeder. There were the largest humminbirds ive ever seen playing at their feeders. It was very relaxing and our dog had so much fun in the fenced grass yard. Will return
Loved our stay here. It was exactly as described. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The home had everything you need. We will definitely be back!
Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights for his birthday and had such a wonderful time! They even hung a little happy birthday banner that we thought was so sweet. We grilled and hung out outside and watched the birds. Thereâs trails walking distance from the house that have beautiful views we got to enjoy also. Would love to stay there again in the future.
To start off Deb was in contact with us from day one and till the night before we came up. Thereâs a fire a few miles north east of the cabin on the rim. I was concerned that it might get in the way of our tip. Not one time I was reminded of the fire while we were there. The cabin is great. The 2 bathrooms are a plus. Never any cold water. We were never cold. Thereâs a pellet stove we didnât even have to use to stay warm. 34 outside and with the small heaters inside it staid 70 easy inside. What I loved the most it this place is perfect if you have a dog. My dog loved watching the birds and squirrels play in the front yard. Deb has everything you need if youâre bringing your pet. Another cool thing is she has labels on most cabinets and drawers so you know where things are without opening them up and searching. I have to say our time there I canât find one thing that got in our way or couldnât find. We had a great time. Will definitely have to stay again when we can. Thanks again Deb for the late night medicine for my daughterâs stomach. Life saver.
Great quiet and dog friendly getaway for our family!
This is a great place to stay and we were able to include our dog on this family vacation. Very quiet and friendly area. House was perfect and had everything we needed. We would stay here again!
The property met our expectations and the host was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be returning in the future. Great place to enjoy quietness and the birds feeding.
Overall this was a wonderful cabin. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us. There was everything we needed and everything was very clean. The only thing that was kinda crappy was the neighbor dog. He was very sweet but my dogs do not like newbies. I just wish we would have known there was a dog next door. But it wasnât anyoneâs fault. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
We loved our stay at Deb and Roberts cabin. The area is amazing, the cabin was clean, beautiful and exactly as advertised. The area is amazing, the hosts are great people. We will definitely be back!
Completely fenced and safe yard for the dogs! Nice little cabin equip with everything you may need including comfy beds and pillows. Lots to do in the area or just lay around and relax in beautiful nature. The owners were very kind and communicated very well. We will be back again and again.
Fantastic hosts, a wonderful cabin, and a beautiful area! Everything about the trip was wonderful, from communication and check in to relaxing mornings on the patio with breakfast surrounded by nature.
Thank you Deb! We enjoyed meeting you and your family (human and dog) and we loved the property. It was so quiet and relaxing and just what we needed. We plan to come back soon!
We are Deb and Robert Bain, we have lived in this area fulltime for over 6 years now, moved up from Phoenix, AZ. Bought this little home as a weekend getaway and a few years later began to build our new home next door, which we finished in November of 2021. We are fortunate enough to work remote so are able to enjoy the beautiful country year-round!
This area is so peaceful, fresh air and beautiful scenery. If you are looking for a central location to explore all the wonders of Mogollin Rim or to visit the Payson, Strawberry-Pine or even the Show Low areas, this is the place to be. There is so much to do and see here or you can even choose to simply hang out on the front porch or sit in the front yard at night to enjoy the stars, the amazing milky way and don't forget to watch for those shooting stars! The home was built in 1960, the interior was remodeled in 2015. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is comfortable for up to 6 people (4 adults) with a queen bed in one room, 2 twins in the other and a futon that pulls out to a full-size bed, in the living room to sleep. The yard is completely fenced in and ready for your furry four-legged family members along with room for you and your family to relax, have a BBQ, and/or play some great outdoor games. Come on over to our great place in the mountains and enjoy all central Arizona has to offer, in whatever way best suits you and your family. Your stay here will definitely ensure you feel relaxed, refreshed and ready to get back to "reality".
