Enjoy easy access to the best of OB - from Dog Beach, Sunset Cliffs, Robb Field Park, Dusty Rhodes, breakfast, breweries, and nightlife. We`re very remote-work friendly (FAST WI-FI, blackout curtains, and desks. We also have the bonus of a detached studio suite for extra privacy. Let us help make your beach vacation an absolute dream. WHAT WE OFFER:

SPACIOUS & COMFORTABLE BEDROOMS
- Our lovely breezy home has a unique twist: Main house includes 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Sofabed & 2 bathrooms, while the detached cozy studio suite in the back boasts high ceilings, kitchenette, Murphy Queen bed, and bathroom. Perfect for couples or grandparents who want some peace and quiet away from the main house.
- There are A/C mini-splits and a portable A/C unit in each bedroom, but the rest of the house has fans. Always cool inside.
- Blackout curtains for our travel nurses and light-sensitive.

FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN & DINING
- Equipped with everything you need, from cookware to a coffee maker, Coffee/Tea, Water Kettle, and BBQ utensils, etc.
- Back studio kitchenette

WORK & ENTERTAINMENT AMENITIES

- 1 free parking spot and street parking is available, but tight on the weekends and evenings. But we have one free parking spot in the back, and a second can be purchased if needed.

- This property is equipped with a device that monitors the environment inside the property (including noise levels, temperature, and motion) to ensure guests have a pleasant stay and our neighbors are not disturbed.

- I`m just a call or text away at any given moment, and live nearby, and regularly check on my properties. Our handyman is just down the block and can be summoned quickly as well. Please don`t hesitate to reach out with any questions, or for local recommendations, etc!

- The historic neighborhood of Ocean Beach is famous for its laid-back atmosphere and strong sense of community. Walkability to everything `OB` has to offer is reminiscent of a bygone era where cars were less necessary. One can surf in the morning, go shopping midday, enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, and end the day with a fancy dinner, all without ever being more than a short walk back home.😊

▪️ PET POLICY: We love welcoming well-behaved pets, and there’s a $100 fee per pet per stay for your furry friends. Please keep pets off the beds, comforters, and sofas to avoid extra cleaning or replacement fees if bedding, towels, carpets, or furniture are stained, chewed, or covered in heavy fur. We’ve provided a vacuum, broom, and dustpan for any fur or spills—just be sure to unclog the vacuum if needed. If you bathe your pet in the shower, please collect and dispose of any hair so it doesn’t clog the drain. All pets must be declared, and undeclared pets (including ESAs) will incur a $200 fee per pet.

Great stay!

Wonderful property close to the beach. Gabe is an excellent host and was very attentive and responsive during our stay. The separate backyard casita was perfect for our extended family trip as we could put the little kids to bed early in that space but still be able to hang out in the main house with my sister an her family. Excellent experience overall!

Loved our stay at your beach cottage!

This beach cottage was perfect for our family of 5 with plenty of room and privacy for parents and 3 teens to spread out. Gabe was super communicative and responded quickly and fully to all inquiries. The location was just what we were looking for close to the beach and loved having the extra beach amenities to enjoy. Sunset viewing and swimming/surfing was superb followed by yummy tacos and burritos at Mike's Tacos in downtown OB. All within walking distance! Would definitely consider staying again if we can make it back out to San Diego!

The place was charming and comfortable. Adorable little front yard we liked to sit in and we used the grill in the backyard for a barbecue. Walking distance to the beach and there was beach gear (including a surfboard) in one of the closets. There was, however, a shortage of toilet paper so we had to go purchase some. Also, we could've used more pans to cook with in the kitchen. There were only a couple of kind of odd pans so we had to compromise. The only other complaint we have is that there was no a/c in the bedroom with the king bed, so it got a little warm. We bought a small fan and slept with the window open and that took care of that. The separate casita was perfect for my mom and sister to stay in. Very cool in there, had it's own refrigerator and sink, a bathroom...everything you could really need, besides its own coffee maker but there's one in the main house so that was fine. The living room had a huge TV and was very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and just the right size. Kitchen was a little small, more like a galley, but nice. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would definitely do it again. Highly recommend, with just a few simple tweaks (some more pans, more t.p. on deck, and more airflow in the one bedroom). Two thumbs up!

Thanks Julie! We ended up getting more pots and pans, and a large fan for that first bedroom, since the other 2 rooms have direct A/C. Also, we did have extra TP, but it was in a locked pantry, which we'll make sure you have the code to next time. You were our first VRBO guest, so thanks for letting us know how to provide a better experience for future guests, and I'm so happy you all enjoyed your stay by the beach :)

Walkable to not just the beach, but DOG BEACH, and also right around the corner from our favorite eateries: OB Noodle House, Daybreak Island Grill, Mike Hess Brewery, and The People's Co-Op, and amazing healthy grocery store run and owned by the employees!

The detached studio in the back is perfect for grandparents needing some space from the rest of the family, and the safe, private parking space is a must by the beach, instead of circling the block for hours!
