Welcome to Log Haven! This is the quintessential Colorado experience: a sprawling 1937 hand-hewn log home tucked into the foothills just west of Denver. Whether you're kicking back, catching a show, or hitting the slopes, you're in the right place!

2000+ SF raised ranch on 3 levels offers both coziness and room to spread out. Sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins in Loft, 4 XL Twins in Bunk Room). 2.5 baths. Game room. Washer/dryer. 2 wooded acres. Easy Denver access.

MAIN LEVEL
• A warm living room with leather furnishings gathered around a wood stove.
• Game room (adjacent to living area) with 10' shuffleboard, darts and board games
• Large galley kitchen well equipped for easy meal-prep, whether it is a simple picnic or a holiday feast.
• Inviting dining room that easily seats 10 for festive meals with family and friends.
• Primary bedroom: king bed
• 2nd bedroom: queen bed
• Whimsical loft with two twin beds and over-the-top cabin charm.(up a narrow & steep staircase)
• One full bath with tub/shower -- low water pressure common in this bath; quite adequate for showering, but lower than the pressure in downstairs shower. (Please note: the other 1.5 bathrooms are on the ground level -- down a fairly steep staircase. It is a quirky layout, but it works for most folks!)

OUTSIDE
• Log Haven sits on two wooded acres and is a photographer's paradise! Get comfortable on any of the inviting stone patios and observe deer, elk, fox, Albert's squirrels, and a variety of birds. Listen for the resident Great Horned Owl pair as the sun sets.
• Easy access to Mt. Falcon hiking, Red Rocks Amphitheater, fun and funky mountain towns like Morrison and Evergreen, as well as the Denver Metro area.
• Delicious regional dining options range from the laid back Mac Nation Cafe to fine dining, Western Style, at The Fort Restaurant.
• Easy access to Red Rocks, Denver, and countless hiking trails. To estimate drive times, GPS "Indian Hills Water District".

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
• COOLING is via evaporative cooler. Rarely needed, but good to have if you get an unusually hot day!

• AWD or 4WD is highly recommended in winter and muddy seasons.

• This is an OLD cabin with original and rambling cabin charm. That means that there are steep and narrow stairs, low loft railings, quirky bathroom locations, lower water pressure, uneven stone walkways and more! Most folks find the vintage details to be charming. If you are looking for a modern layout, ensuite bathrooms, etc., Log Haven may not work well for you.
