Come get away at The Lindy Chalet! Family fun options abound! We are less than a mile from Story Land & Living Shores Aquarium, and minutes away from downtown North Conway with outlets, antique stores, and local artists and purveyors. Come enjoy NHâs playground: swim at Dianaâs baths, hike the the Whites, or tube down the Saco. Then, settle down with family by playing games, doing a puzzle, listening to some vinyl, or cooking in our fully equipped kitchen.
We spent a week at this property during Feb school vacation week. It was perfect for our family of five including 3 children ages 7-11. Located in a nice quiet area but just close enough to North Conway and ski resorts. Kitchen was well stocked which was perfect for us since we like to cook and prepare meals for the family. Would highly recommend!
Cute place, had everything we needed. I'd rate higher, but unfortunately there was a miscommunication with the maid service and the place was not ready when it was time to check in. Owner was apologetic and accommodating. We had a wonderful time and would rent again in the future.
Unit had not cleaned, had previous guests trash, Beds slept in by others, not changed with new sheets or made-up, irritating mold/mildew odor.
*We had to find another motel to stay in the first night.
Great location for Storyland, not the best layout for younger children
The condo is beautifully decorated and in a peaceful location. The layout would be super fun for older children, but was quite dangerous for the 3-year-olds we had in our group. I was aware of the spiral staircase based on pictures and planned on having that area âclosed,â but did not realize the openness of the other stairs, which could have been an oversite on my part. Communication with the host was excellent. The basement where the bedrooms are had quite a musty smell.
Sarah was great with all communication even before we booked our stay and answered all
Our questions.
We stayed with my husband, 3 children (ages 10-4) and my parents. The house was very clean and enough space for all of us. The kids loved hanging out in the loft and the adults enjoyed listening to the classic albums on the record player after dinner. It was a wonderful experience!!
This Chalet is in an area with other Austrian Style chalets so driving to it you get the feel like you are in Austria or Germany. Even the names of the streets (Strasse) are true to the German name. This specific chalet is three floors - a main living area with big windows, the lower level has 3 bedrooms, one king, one queen and one with 2 sets of bunkbeds. The third area is a loft looking down into the main area with a tv and bean bag chairs. We did not use that area. Stairs lead to each floor. There is a nice dining area, seats 6, a counter area with 4 more seats and a small table with 2 more chairs. There is a small bathroom and a bathroom with tub/shower - shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. Linens were supplied and oh my goodness the sheets (I'm a sheet snob) were so soft and comfy. There are some additional items not always provided with a Vrbo home - coffee, tea and some spices in the cabinets. Also a blow dryer is in the one bathroom and there is a washer and dryer. Loads of pots and pans, glasses, mugs, dishes for a crowd. Unique to this home is the turntable and record albums - we forgot to try it out. There are puzzles to make, they were a 1000 pieces so we bought and left a 300 piece that was more manageable for a 3 night stay. This home was very clean. We went in the summer and appreciated the fans. We didn't use the third bedroom so an additional fan (there were two) would be optimal for the summer sleeping if all bedrooms are needed. I think my biggest compliment is to Sarah, the owner who answered a ton of questions, checked-in with us after the first night to make sure everything was ok. We went on day trips to Mount Washington,/Cog Railway. Diane Baths (parking is horrible couldn't find a spot) is very close. Many hiking trails and obviously loads of ski areas. We really enjoyed a relaxing stay.
Hello! We are the Silvermans! We live in Portsmouth, and love coming up to the White Mountains in the winter, summer, spring and fall! We are Wildcat skiers, and our kids love their local ski programs. We are also slowly hiking all of NH 4000 footers. In the summer, on a hot day, we love finding a new swimming hole to cool off in!
