Fantastic Launching Pad for all that Portland Offers!

Our duplex home is in a residential neighborhood, minutes from downtown, the
Pearl District and Portland's old school Nob Hill. A perfect launching pad for all that
Portland offers: great restaurants, our famous food truck scene and art galleries.
As vetted Premier Hosts, we've created a space using our knowledge of what travelers are looking for when booking their next vacation or business trip.
Our home is set up with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and one bathtub. Perfect for traveling families, friends and co-workers. We’ve hosted them all, here!
Many of Portland’s famous attractions are just minutes away: Hoyt Arboretum, Oregon Zoo, the Rose Test Garden and Japanese Garden - to name a few.
Here to catch a Timbers or Thorns game in Soccer City - we are a short 10 minute drive or keep it simple and take Trimet bus #20 door to door!
Live like a local and walk down 23rd Avenue, shop small and local. Enjoy a local pint of beer and snack in some of our great restaurants. Prior to your arrival, we will send you a list of our favorites - so, you can start planning your trip before you arrive.
Our location is close to St. Vincent’s Hospital and many other medical and surgical centers. We’ve hosted many families traveling to support their sick loved one or recover from surgery before heading back home. Let us know how we can help and we will do our best to make this end of your visit stress free.
Upon arrival, we have a selection of local beverages, tea, coffee and a few snacks to get you through a late arrival and first morning cup of coffee. Our kitchen is stocked with essential items and a few extras we like to have on hand for our guests.
As native Oregonians, we look forward to hosting you and are happy to help with travel plans and questions before and during your stay!

Tip top quality and cleanliness

Amazing cleanliness and quality of the property. Details like crisp white towels and all cotton white bed linens, oeko tex pillow covers, smells like clean laundry. Even pots and pans and dishes and utensils were of high quality. It’s like staying at a 5 star quality hotel suite. The area is super convenient but green and lush and walkable at the same time. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect home away for a week!

I stayed for a week to send my kids to camp, and it was a perfect home away for all of us. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfy, there was great laundry, kitchen, and living room amenities, and it was easy to remotely work for the week. Thoughtful touches made it extra nice, like coffee (and an assortment of milk!) for the first morning and a warm welcome from the hosts.

Central location and very clean

This property is centrally located to downtown Portland, the south suburbs and Vancouver. It is inviting and felt very comfortable to relax after all day site-seeing! The kitchen, bathrooms and rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. You are not walking distance to groceries or entertainment, but can enjoy a pleasant walk to a mini market and neighborhood bar. Shannon was excellent in her communications and very responsive. Check-in process was super easy, but don’t get nervous if the code doesn’t come within the 24 hours mentioned. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Check-in was easy and the host gave a nice list of recommendations. The house was nicely furnished and very clean. I would have loved better pillows and a hair dryer. Also the little travel iron was not so good, it ended up spitting rust on my white blouse and then on one of their beautiful white towels! On the upside, the location was very good, we loved being so close to Washington Park! Easy to get on the highway to everywhere else we wanted to go. We had a lovely week.

Kansans to the Northwest!

Two active 60 couples exploring the Seattle and Portland areas! This location was excellent! Close “enough” to downtown Portland and close to Beaverton. Easy access to hiways. Owners left a very detailed notebook explaining their expectations and even recommendations of places to eat. Even listed grocery stores nearby. They had some treats for us upon arrival which we appreciated. Owners were easy to contact and responded quickly. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Home away from home!

We stayed at the Launching Pad during part of our house remodel. It was perfect for the two of us. I would feel comfortable staying there with three people but there is definitely room for a fourth. The second room is small but there is enough closet space for up to four residents. The neighborhood is quiet and there are plenty of windows to allow a nice cross breeze. The house cooled off quickly with the AC. Jim and Shannon were very nice, quick to respond and very helpful if needing to extend the stay. This is also a great place for people coming to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center for procedure/surgeries that may have to stay for an extended period of time afterwards. I would recommend this VRBO property and it's owners to family in friends without question.

Comfortable, quiet property with convenient auto access to grocery, downtown & Burnside bridge.

Manager went the extra mile in locating indoor pool for my husband; just sorry it didn't work out. Operating the thermostat was tricky but it kept the property comfortable. Kitchen well supplied with cookware, flatware, glass & dishware. Large & efficient washer & dryer. Well-furnished, private & safe accommodation.

Enchantment in Portland

My adult daughter and I were thrilled by the clean, inviting accommodations. The place was spotless! It provided comforts of home. Nice comfy beds, equipped bathrooms and extra amenities and snacks for any needed items missed in packing while traveling. We would like to return and call this our home away from home! We enjoyed exploring the area and will look forward to our return!

Cute place in safe neighborhood

We stayed in the super cute place for a trip to Oregon to check out the area. Everything was super clean, beds nice and comfy, and lots of snacks upon arrival. Loved that this unit had a washer and dryer as well. Had a few small hiccups that were quickly resolved. Jim and Shannon are amazing hosts and go above and beyond for their guests! I would definitely recommend this rental as A+. We felt very safe in this quiet little neighborhood.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Location, location, location - we think our duplex has the best!
We love our duplex - the location has so many great attributes: less than 90 minutes to the beach, the mountains or the Columbia Gorge and 10 minutes to many of Portland’s greatest attractions.
While most guests would prefer a car, our home is close to mass transit. A quick bus ride and you will be downtown, Nob Hill, or Pearl District. Some of best restaurants, food carts and brew pubs are less than 20 minutes away.
If you are in Soccer City for a Timbers or Thorns game, Providence Park is a straight shot down the hill.
Kids in tow, we have you covered - the Oregon Zoo and the wooded trails of Hoyt Arboretum are close by. OMSI is just across the river.
Want to unwind and self reflect - spend an afternoon wandering in our famous Japanese Garden, Rose Test Garden or Chinese Garden, all just minutes away.
Looking to explore Oregon wine country- Willamete Valley and our world class Pinots are just around an hour away. Visit tasting rooms, explore fine dining and antique shops all in an afternoon.
For those here to work, Nike, Intel and the other big guys in town are all really accessible.

St. Vincent’s Hospital is in walking distance and OHSU is just 20 minutes away.

When done exploring, come home to a quiet residential neighborhood and relax at your home. Bring dinner in or stop by the neighborhood grocery store and prepare a great family meal. The house is set up for your comfort and after being gone all day, you will enjoy the peace and quiet of home.
This is not a party house our neighbors are full time residents. Only registered guests are allowed over night. Break the rules and you will be asked to leave immediately without refund.
