This Bungalow reminded me of my mom's house. It was so comfortable and clean. It was conveniently located and the owners instructions were very clear. Quiet and very peaceful place.
Check-in and check-out were easy and straightforward. Rosie, the host, was very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. She gave us great recommendations for our stay, including beautiful nearby sights. I appreciated the easy access to expressways and the cozy, homey feel of the place. It includes dedicated parking, a small but functional kitchen, a full bathroom, a comfortable bed, a couch, and a TV. I highly recommend staying at Rosieâs place.
Very cold upon arrival so put the space heater on high until the second night when it was warm enough to turn it down. Mattress is way too soft for our comfort. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
Our second time staying here. Love all of it except the bedâit is so soft we canât use pillows to sleep because our bodies are already sway-backed from the too-soft mattress. Prefer a medium-firm mattress!
The bungalow is charming with everything supplied for an even longer stay. It is quiet, back from the road, in a garden setting. Rosie and all the people there were friendly and helpful. I will return again next year.
Thank you for a lovely stay
Two-night stay to visit relatives (who live across the street!).
Small but clean and cozy; had everything we could need. The mattress was way too soft for usâno back support so very uncomfortable and we didnât sleep well. Will stay here again though due to proximity to relatives.
Rosie is a delightful host. The Bungalo is really cute. It does, however, need a thorough cleaning. Dead bugs around the edges of the room. Baseboards need cleaning.
With some good deep cleaning--it would be a 5 Star place for sure.
This is our second stay with Rosie.
Clean, well equipped cute space and Rosie is a great communicator and kind lady. It us our go to space when we visit Vancouver.
The bungalow was very nice. No neighboring rooms so it made you feel very private on the property.
It had grassy areas for a dog to do dog things. I'd definitively stay again. The property owner was helpful in finding the property as it is off the main road and side street.
What a lovely experience! Super well stocked, inviting, and easy. We only got to stay for one short night, but Iâd love to return for longer. The outdoor spaces were welcoming and all of the extra details inside were amazing. Definitely recommend this (there are several rentals here) !
Rosie tends a collage of rental rooms, shaded and sunny outdoor spaces with seating galore, and a plethora of flowers and foliage. The bungalow is cute, unique, great for my dog and cat, and inspires me to live in a tiny home in the future!
I arrived & turned down the bed. Upon walking in, it smelled like incense had been burned recently. Thought that was a little strange, but no big deal. I don't personally have problems with incense irritating me. There was a granola bar, hot cocoa sitting out. I was hungry, so I grabbed the granola bar and ate a little bit of it. And it was rancid. I'm not eating something. That's a little bit stale but this was literally rancid.
I went to turn down the bed, and noticed an odd odor. I leaned down and smelled the sheets
. The sheets smelled of body odor & pillow cases smelled like they hadn't been washed, but a different odor than the sheets. I went to the closet, smelled the towels on the shelf, and they smelled clean. So the bedding was definitely not changed. I looked down at the throw rug, which had white accents in it. The part closest to the bed, which would be more difficult to vacuum, easily, was dirty. The rest of the rug was cleaner. I sat down on the couch to call my brother and get his advice, and an ant crawl across my arm.
At this point, I was so grossed out that after being there, 15 or 20 minutes, I left. These issues are not something you can just fix in the moment. The place is pet friendly. And it definitely smells like animals are there. And that they don't shampoo the rugs or textiles. I was told by support agent that I would be issued a refund within five business days. Just waiting to see if that happens. Unsatisfactory.
The home was small, but spacious enough for our family of 3 and our black lab. The pet fee was very reasonable, especially when considering the low cost for the stay itself. Communication was great. We hadnât received check in instructions from VRBO, so we messaged the host and heard back within minutes. When leaving, we forgot an item, but the host had found it and had it waiting for us to pick up. Great place, great host.
