Ocean Breezes, Unit #110, is an accessibility-friendly, oceanfront condo with a queen bed in the bedroom and an additional queen sofa bed in the living area. This condo has a well-equipped kitchen for great family meals. Two TVs and two DVD players are available for your listening and viewing entertainment.

The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast.

At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 through January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is 'crowned' by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Islands past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties, and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large-screen 50' plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

All retreats are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your peace of mind.

Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some getaways have a stackable washer/dryer. A large separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grills, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture.

This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

Overall this place was amazing and super convenient. Super close and easy access to the beach, pool and hot tub accessible into the evening, elevator makes moving luggage and groceries easy. Only complaint I have is that a few roaches made their way in, but I expect that's typical when you vacation in the southern states. Florida has those little lizards, and North Carolina has roaches I guess. I didn't want to complain because they didn't really bother me other than being gross, but if it's a pest problem I guess management should know.

Great location on the beach!

My wife and I stayed here and fell in love with Hatteras Island. The property was clean and had a nice pool and great access to the beach. We had some difficulties with both tvs but the property manager responded within a day. The only complaint is that there was standing water on both the balcony and at the entrance to the condo that didn’t dry the entire time we were there. All in all, a great trip and we will be back!

My husband and I stayed for three nights and it was such a great time. We loved being right on the water and having an ocean view. The washer and dryer access were also helpful after multiple beach days!

Even during a storm

Storm Debby arrived just after we did and lasted the week. It broke up during the mornings some, just to allow a walk on the beach or a dip in the pool. I loved that everything we wanted to do was in easy access to the condo and the condo was clean and well stocked. We definitely would come again.

Fishin trip….

Awesome, it was just what we needed and in the perfect location. It was just my oldest son and myself, here to fish for a couple of days. 150’ to the beach? Absolutely perfect, quiet and convenient.

Decent.

Overall a decent place but will not be staying here again. Dust on ceiling fan blades and under bed. Couch smelled of urine. Bed was awful and seemed like the headboard wasn’t even fully attached. Saw a dead cockroach in the laundry room and one out on our porch. Bring a fan as it gets hot in the bedroom. Loved the area though and the short walk to the beach and being able to see the ocean from the porch.

Ocean Breezes

Great little apt. The full kitchen was wonderful. I did pack Keurig cups since the pix had a Keurig in them but it has an actual coffee pot. The view is nice and porch furniture perfect. The bed was a little hard for me but some folks prefer that. If you are expecting to use the pull out sofa as we were- ensure Vacasa leaves a sheet set and pillow. We had to run to Wings at 9:50pm to buy a large stuffed animal for a pillow, and large beach blankets for sheets. Water pressure in shower was best I've ever had at the beach. The pool is maintained very well and was a great asset after a day at the beach. the outside shower worked and was good pressure with a shower and a hose. Would definitely stay here again.

Cindi was clean and had beautiful view

We came off season so some businesses weren’t open all week. We had great food at some of the restaurants! Small issue with the toilet where water would run all the time. Happened to spot a vrbo maintenance man on site and he fixed our issue that day! Would probably visit the outer banks in the future but when it’s off season

Great weekend

Pretty but…

I’m going to start with the positives. The condo is pretty, with nice furnishings and a complete kitchen. The shower was also nice - good water flow, felt like you actually got clean in there. You also cannot beat the proximity to the beach. It was nice to walk outside and only have to go a short distance to embrace the beach bum life. Now for the problems we had. The bed is horrendous. It’s just lumpy and hard in weird places. We’ve been back for 3 weeks and my husband has had a significant sciatic issue since our stay. If you have any history of back problems, be forewarned this bed probably isn’t going to help that. Next issue is the home is very humid. It would help to have a dehumidifier in the home. Note a deal breaker, but it can be weird to have a layer of wetness to everything. We actually loved our stay and if it weren’t for the problems with sleeping would definitely be back to stay here again. It was a great location and we had a blast. The bed is the real deal breaker for us.

HVAC System Change During Stay

An HVAC system change was done during our last day. So in the morning on checkout day, right in the middle of eating breakfast at 8 AM, a team of technicians knocked on the door and requested to enter to perform a "scheduled system replacement". They stated that the company informed them that it was okay because the unit was vacant. So we had to finish our breakfast as they worked. We had to use the bathroom, shower, pack, and do checkout tasks around the workers. Nothing against the techs needing to do their work. But shame on the booking and/or management company/service for its incompetence toward this oversight. The unit was clean and nice, but the AC was only sufficient in the kitchen/living areas. It was too warm in the bedroom/bathroom even when we adjusted the thermostat in an attemlt to compensate. So sleeping comfort was subpar. I suppose that is why the HVAC system change was necessary. But if that problem was known, then it have been disclosed to us prior to our stay. Furthermore, the replacement work should not have been scheduled for any point during our stay.

Very nice place, pleasant stay.

Nice place. A little tight on space but fine for just two. Only real complaint is that it seems near impossible to control the humidity in the unit, even with the air on constantly and the sliding balcony door closed. Bathroom towels remained damp all week. But the proximity to the beach is great. We enjoyed the pool as well.
