From this top-floor retreat, take advantage of the beautiful ocean views from the private oceanfront sundeck and views of the Pamlico Sound from the covered sound side deck. The Durant Station Community Clubhouse offers a complete kitchen, 50" plasma TV, pool table, and gas fireplace. There is also a community pool, hot tub, and laundry facility.

This accessibility-friendly retreat features a handheld shower and a high-rise toilet. The comfortable bedroom offers traditional beach decor, and the oceanfront deck features poly deck furniture and heat-resistant, porous tile, so no hot or burnt feet!

Fantastic view

Great 3rd floor location provides gorgeous water views. Elevator is a major plus. Size is good for two people. Interior furniture needs updating. Deck furniture is great!

Very satisfied

Very clean, light and costal look to the condo. We had no complaints. We bought seafood and prepared it each evening. The kitchen was adequate for us. Comfortable patio. The luggage carts are very welcomed.

Flying fish !

The view from the deck on the 3rd floor of Durant Station is great. We have stayed in many of the condos before but Flying Fish is our favorite because of the view. The thing we would like to see in the condos is bars in the tub to help get in and out more safely.

Gorgeous view

Nice unit with a well stocked kitchen, awesome views of the ocean (which was only steps away), and a great location on Hatteras Island. I was there in the off season for a week and it was quiet and peaceful. The bedroom is on the Hwy 12 side and early morning traffic was a problem for me starting around 6 am. I finally decided to sleep on the sofa (not using the pullout) and listen to the ocean instead of traffic noise. I enjoyed watching the ocean and crafting which was my idea of a perfect birthday/retirement celebration!

Great Oceanview Apartment

We were specifically looking for a reasonably priced ocean view apartment for a weeklong vacation. And this one-bedroom Vacasa apartment fit the bill perfectly. The top floor apartment had the best views of the ocean from the back porch while the common front porch afforded beautiful sunset views. The check-in procedure was easy. The apartment was clean and well-appointed with a stocked kitchen and ample linens for the bedroom and bathroom. The community pool being clean and open was another plus point since the website said that they open during the Memorial Day weekend. We also had access to the Community Clubhouse and used the pool table in there on the days when it was too cold to go to the beach. Checkout was quick and easy too. Not having the long laundry list of things to do before checkout, that a lot of other reservations nowadays have, was much appreciated. We would definitely be rebooking this place again in the future.

No elevator

We arrived to find the elevator wasn't working. We can't do steps and were unable to bring our luggage to our 3rd floor rental. We had to give up our rental and with the help of a Vacassa individual able to find another rental nearby.

Back again

Beautiful View

This property was exactly as presented. The view is remarkable. This was a nice winter break for us. Come prepared for a quiet time if you’re visiting in winter. Most restaurants are closed for the season, but we were able to get our needs met nicely with the local grocery store.

We so much enjoyed the natural surroundings - the dunes, sea grass, and blanket flowers. Great proximity to the grocery store and restaurants and neighboring villages. Hatteras beach stay

We enjoyed out stay at the Flying Fish condo. It was clean and in a good location. It was pretty quiet there and we were able to relax and enjoy the ocean. Everything was in good working order while we were there. We did open the sleeper sofa once to enjoy the sounds of the ocean and that bed was extremely uncomfortable, not a big deal for us but for anyone else wanting to use that as a bed for the night would find it difficult to have a good night. Elevators worked and there were no issues. Laundry room was clean and well maintained. If I could suggest one thing, it would be that someone post a notice that the luggage carts are located in the laundry room on the 1st floor. We were informed by another guest. Up to that point we hadn't found any to use for our luggage.
