This townhome is very clean & located near the entrance to Sea Pines on Pope Ave. Drawback is it has a moisture issue going on. The damp smell is very evident as soon as you enter & the hardwood floor in the hallway is very soft & spongy. So something is going on underneath. That moisture attracts a certain insect which we could have done without. The rooms are exactly as described. Itâs a bit dated but fully functional. The only grill we saw was at the pool. There are tennis courts too. Currently GPS does not direct you to this address so follow the written directions they send you via email. The access code was supposed to have been sent to us via text. It wasnât. The office was closed so we had to contact the âafter hoursâ number. He was prompt getting back to us. The code should have been written down in the parking pass packet you have to pick up at the rental office which closes at 5pm on Saturday. Nice location, nice unit but weâll look at another one next visit. This one needs to have that moisture issue resolved. It triggered a health issue with one of our guests so be aware.
Fantastic location and very nice property. The loft serves as a 3rd BR which was perfect for our family. Onsite amenities were great and beach club access let us avoid Coligny. Unfortunately, the condo was not cleaned well prior to our arrival and we had to call several times to get them to spray for bugs (note that we were there during a very wet period). Rental company, however, was incredibly responsive and worked hard to address the issues. Overall positive stay.
Great Location in Carolina Place - nice pool - close to Forest Preserve - with easy bike or car access to everything within and outside Sea Pines. The condo seemed quiet and private with a closed in screened porch and lovely lagoon view out back. Great room arrangement with loft and 3 bathrooms. Although the place was clean, the furnishings seemed old and shabby. Uncomfortable mattresses. Needs a makeover. Internet was the worst - do not plan on working, entertainment, or even checking a restaurant menu here. Ran out of paper products mid-week. Beach-side rental folks were helpful and attentive.
Everything was to be expected except the hot tub. To some this may seem like a want, but for my dad it was a need. When we got there it was boarded up with ticker tape around it. We called immediately and no one was even aware it was not working. I was told we would have to wait until Monday when someone was able to address it. Monday when I asked they were still waiting. Tuesday I got a message saying sorry itâs not going to be fixed for your stay. By Tuesday my dad could barely walk and was searching for a flight home earlier than expected. We changed all our plans to accommodate him because he struggled. The hot showers didnât last long and at 6 foot he couldnât sit in the bathtub. I was extremely disappointed that this wasnât brought to our attention at check in and then I waited 4 days for a response. Like I said it may seem like a want to many, but to us it was a needed amenity.
The pros- the price was half what other units were going to cost us the week of July 4th in Sea Pines. Super close to the front gate of the whole resort so it was very convenient to groceries and restaurants. Pool and tennis/pickleball courts were as close as could be, which we enjoyed immensely. Twin mattresses seemed new and the kids (4 teens) said they were very comfortable. Kitchen had all the gadgets and supplies we needed even if they were older and mismatched. Also looked like new carpet which was nice! We appreciated the smart TVs! Just wish there was one in the other bedroom!
The cons: The whole place felt dated and we didnât find the master bedroom mattress firm enough but that is personal preference. The upstairs shower didnât drain well and really many of the bathroom fixtures could stand to be replaced. The Carolina room could stand to be cleaned and refreshed. We had 8 people so we felt like there wasnât ample seating in the living room area but people just pulled up a kitchen chair or went and hung out in their bedroom. We learned the hard way that the trolley only comes up to that area AFTER 4 pm so plan accordingly!:) Front door didnât lock easily whenever we would leave the unit- had to pull it tightly. I know to have a rental and update everything would cost a fortune. So not saying itâs not a good place to stay. It is! Just could use a little updating.
As advertised then more. Very clean. Everything worked. We rented 3 different properties for a group of 14 and this one was the best of all 3. Everyone wanted to stay here owner was responsive and instructions super clear. Would stay here again
We stayed for a week in early June 2021 and were blown away with this location. The house is much roomier than the pictures imply, and our family of six had room to spare. We used the neighborhood pool and grill, and visited the Sea Pines resort beach (via the trolley system) and Coligny beach. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything for preparing meals and eating there. We made a few recommendations to the managers that would make the stay perfect, but overall we were incredibly happy with the rental, the location, and the price.
The property was very pretty and spacious. We had plenty of room for our group of 5. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, cookware and coffee maker-we enjoyed eating meals in. The bathrooms were clean. We made use of the clothes washer and dryer and really appreciated the beach towels. The backyard overlooks a lagoon and is picturesque. The community pool and tennis courts were also a hit for us. I would highly recommend this property.
was told that I should wait for notification by text before coming on site due to additional cleaning, etc. and check-in times could not be guaranteed for 4:00. We waited until after 6 and finally called only to receive an apology explaining that the villa had been ready for some time. We literally hung around in Savannah needlessly for hours.
The villa appeared to be clean and attractive. I own businesses so I enjoy vacation time to spend some time with TV watching, but I couldn't figure out the TV system. I didn't know about ROKU a discount system for movies, etc. It was three days before it was settled. At first the batteries were replaced then a tutorial, etc. I'm sure there are many people who don't know about this system.
The walls going upstairs where my daughter's room was had been repaired and apparently painted over in spots.
We went on the enclosed deck and removed cobwebs. This extra cleaning did not reach that area.
I was in the master bedroom, where the shower curtain needed to be repaired.
We drove to the beach to park in the usual lot. We usually take the shuttle. When they looked at our pass we were told that the lot was only for owners and we would have to use another lot. We called Beachside who later admitted they were not aware that change had been made.
We had pillows with no cases and more. Beach Rentals always responded, but I didn't call on everything because as I told them I deal with issues in business every day and I didn't want to spend my vacation time on matters like this.
This was my first time with your company and Beach Rentals. I don't know who was at fault. I may not have any other organization to go through, but if i could find someone else, I think it is in my best interest to do so.
