This enticing, bright, apartment can accommodate up to six Lucky guests in Savannah’s Victorian District. Your guests will appreciate the modern yet comfortable touches in the fixtures and furnishings. This impressive three-bedroom apartment has everything you need for your Savannah vacation!

Stepping inside, you’ll be greeted by the warmth of original rich wood floor and an abundance of natural light. Directly on your left when you enter is the living room, which features floor to ceiling windows, airy drapery, and comfortable furnishings, including a TV above the original fireplace that dates back to 1900.

Slide back the original wood pocket doors to reveal a large bedroom with a king size bed, arm chairs and a large closet for your belongings. The original emerald green tiled mantle stands out amid bright walls, and airy window treatments. You’ll find another decorative mantel in the second bedroom along with two full-sized beds, and tall windows that add character to this cozy room. The third bedroom is equally welcoming with a comfortable lounge chair/reading nook, and a comfy king size bed. Adjacent to the bedrooms, two full bathrooms offer more than enough space for everyone. The first has a shower/tub combo, while the second has a spa-like walk-in shower that will make you feel like you’re at the best hotel in town.

At the back of the home, the kitchen is equipped with all of the modern conveniences to prepare home-cooked meals; a gas range, ample amount of prep space, and a large walk-in pantry. Head outside to find shared patio space that offers seating for four, and a gas grill - perfect for those summer evening cookouts!

What is parking like for this home?
This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends.

Right on Forsyth park, this beautiful old Savannah home had a porch for morning coffee and plenty of beds and bathrooms for the four of us. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Reviewer Comments: The property description was accurate based on the description and it was clean. The rental agency provided excellent customer service. I would recommend this property and did to someone while we were there. I only have a few things that were not a problem but could be addressed. The TV in the main room did not work, the pocket doors could not be closed to separate the bedroom from the main room and the lighting in the first bathroom was very dim. We loved sitting on the front porch and even had a kitty visit. This property was perfect for our girls trip.

Makes me want to live there

The free trolly stop is just around the corner. Just a short walk to Forsyth park and there is a wonderful coffee shop just a block away. The parking is a bit of a learning curve because of the street sweeping but we didn't have any problems.

Many disappointments - Renter Beware

Not clean, poor layout, appliances not working, no dining area. Cobwebs in corners and visible dirt on molding and flat surfaces. Cheap and flat pillows on poor quality mattresses. No area for eating. Washing machine door seal covered in black mold. Dishwasher left slimy residue on dishes. Property manager came and looked at moldy washing machine, they advised they would try to clean.....

Good, not Great

Went for a long weekend and the listing photos seemed to capture the Savannah charm we were looking for. Overall the house wasn't bad, but not great. The good: great location, just a block off Forsythe Park and walkable to many of the attractions. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and the front porch was our favorite gathering spot with plenty of room for five or six people to sit. The bad: most of the furnishings in the house were not the same as the list photo, particularly in the living room. While it looked similar, it was much more drab than you see in the pics. The living room had a small couch and two chairs, not much seating for a 3 bedroom unit. Also, that is all the seating you have inside the house. There is no place to sit and eat. Out back, there is a small patio table and a grill that is useless. It's tight and very loud as the AC units are also back there. Lastly, the beds have foam mattresses that look like they were pulled from the curb. Not very comfortable after a night or two. In the end, if you're looking for a budget friendly place to crash while seeing Savannah, this may be for you, but if you're looking for a quaint & charming home, keep shopping.

Four Friends Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The living room has less furniture than the photo shows, it has one sofa, no coffee table, and two chairs. There are very few electrical outlets in this house, which limited where we could charge phones and watches. The TV in the living room is old, does not have the most popular streaming apps, the remote needs to be replaced, the select key sticks, and it is difficult to use the remote buttons. There is a Roku remote and it did not work. We had to use the tv in the front bedroom to watch a movie on Prime. The curtain rod for curtain covering the front bedroom closet fell down and hit my friend on her arm, breaking the skin, when the curtain was gently pulled to open the curtain. The water pressure was very low. The first bathroom shower faucet plate was not attached. The second bathroom has rotted wood next to the bathtub. There are only 3 chairs on the porch and we had to use an inside chair on the porch.

The much ignored vacation rental

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were extremely disappointed by this vacation rental having stayed with Lucky Savannah before. Positives: great location, walking distance to Forsyth Park and coffee shops, on a quiet street with plenty of parking and a cute front porch perfect for enjoying the weather or having a cup of coffee in the morning. After that, it’s all negative. First of all there is nowhere to eat in the home- no coffee table no kitchen/dining table. There is one table in the neglected backyard, but it was dirty, and there was glass on the ground. The decor in this rental is a bunch of mismatched furniture that is old and seems to have just been thrown together. The kitchen offered minimal items nothing but salt and pepper, and didn’t even have a cookie sheet. home was clean but door knobs were falling off, cracks in the wall, paint peeling, and everything looked just sort of haphazardly put together

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is wonderful! The house has a great front porch with nice furniture to enjoy morning coffee. The inside is historical and intact which is wonderful, but needs work. Nice layout with 3 spacious bedrooms. Adequate kitchen. Lighting is very poor in both bathrooms and much of the furniture is in poor condition being tattered and ripped and not feeling fresh. We also missed having a basic coffee table. This place has potential to be super nice with some furniture upgrades and attention to detail. It didn’t feel crisp and clean because of that. Also the beds are very low, which was fine for us but for an older crowd this could be a big problem getting in and out of bed.

What a charming place to stay in Savannah! The location was great, plenty of street parking available and very walkable. Everyone was comfortable. The property management is friendly and incredibly helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Savannah Vacation Gem

Overall, our stay was very good. The property is as presented in the images, but I will share a couple of key points I would have found helpful. One of the bedrooms does open to the front sitting room. There are doors to close the room from the rest of the house, but the old pocket doors between the bedroom and sitting room do not close. I also neglected to notice the lack of a dining room table and chairs (note: there is a table and chairs in the pack patio, but not covered from the weather). Admittedly, Savannah is a food town with a tremendous number of really good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nonetheless, it is still nice to have a dining table, especially since the one bedroom was connected to the sitting area. I was traveling with my 80-year-old mom who has trouble with stairs. Virtually impossible to find a place in Historic Savannah without some stairs. Thankfully, the only stairs for this home are the front steps which were easy enough for her to navigate.

Great place and location

There was plenty of towels, place was cute and clean. Loved the outdoor areas, overall enjoyed our stay! The only suggestion is the front steps could use a rail so people who are older can walk up them safely.

Summer Vacation in Storytime

This vacation in Savannah marked our third trip, my family and I really enjoy staying in the historic district. When booking Storytime, we were familiar with the area and found Storytime quite charming. The parking was really good, the curb appeal was excellent, and the pictures on VRBO well represented the property. When we opened the door, the interior was great, but there was a strong musty smell at the door, but as we went in, it faded. The interior is very charming. My family is a house divided on cow-hide rugs, I thought they were a great touch. We had a couple of issues, no light in one of the bathrooms, and the clothes dryer did not work. We contacted the management company, they promptly sent a maintenance crew to address the issues. The lighting problem was quickly resolved, but the dryer issue was never resolved. I also found that the drapes in the living room covered up the A/C vents and there was little to no airflow in that room or entry area. We moved the drapes off the vents and the musty odor was barely noticeable toward the end of the visit. If it were not for the musty smell and the dryer issue, my visit would be 5-star.
