It’s time for some sunshine at this bright beach cottage. This dog friendly property allows one dog maximum with a 50 lb weight limit. Just a five-minute walk from the sandy shore. Step out your front door to your sunny deck with a cup of coffee in the morning and take a seat in one of your rocking chairs. No rush – you’re on vacation. Keep breakfast prep simple when everyone wakes up, and eat together at the dining table for eight. Or, dine alfresco downstairs at your picnic tables on the patio. If you're looking to cook up something hearty, no problem – the well-equipped kitchen offers a full suite of appliances, counter space, and all the gadgets you need. Once everyone's fed and ready, head off to the beach. With such a convenient location, it's easy to run back and forth to the house for lunch or if a little one needs a mid-day nap. After a full day of fun, come home, wash off the sand in your outdoor shower, and get cozy. Flip on the flatscreen or grab one of the many games available to spend a little more together time. At the end of the night, grab a frosty beverage and head back out onto that deck for a little rocking chair time under the stars.

Great space

Short walk to the beach…. Loved it… only issue is with checking in and communication … it’s managed by Vacasa and they don’t respond when you need answers … just AI assistants… won’t rent again bc would like direct communication with simple questions …. Like early check in? An hour early..Funny to see VRBO advertise nick saban being a tough about check in but Vacasa won’t allow it at all… sad … really like the hoise

Great beach stay

My husband and I had a great stay over a long weekend. Our daughter and a friend were supposed to join but couldn’t make it so we had more than enough room. The house was very clean and basics were included. We didn’t do a lot of cooking but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Beach access was an easy walk. We would stay here again. Thanks!

Cute, modest home—but some issues…

Overall, our stay in Holden onto Sunshine was good. The home is nicely furnished and decorated, and it was a quiet neighborhood close to beach access. However, there are some things potential renters may want to be aware of. The tech in the house was extremely annoying; the smart thermostat kept the house from cooling properly, the WiFi would only allow one device to connect at a time, and the code lock on the door was complicated when you tried to lock it behind you before leaving. Also, the pictures of the house are not a fully accurate reflection of what it is like. Mostly this is a good thing, as some improvements/updates have been done (like new furniture, nicer bedding, etc) but in one regard it’s misleading. The kitchen is very small (which you can’t really tell due to the angles the pictures were taken from), and the closet containing the washer and dryer is in the kitchen, opposite the sink and dishwasher. I didn’t love having to take dirty clothes into the room where food is prepared, although I recognize this may not be an issue for everyone. As previously stated, our stay was fairly pleasant and the house was cute, but these various issues did cause us some degree of aggravation during our stay.

Wonderful stay except for Tropical Storm Debbie

This was our second stay here. We stayed last year. Tropical Storm Debbie caused a HUGE amount of flooding on property. It was over a foot deep to walk up to the property! We had to carry are 7 year old! It also brought 100’s of frogs under the house! We did leave a day early and had to walk all our belongings out to the road because our truck couldn’t even go to the driveway! So, the home is fantastic, but the flooding was the worst on the block! We would be nervous to rent again. What a shame, it is a fantastic home!!!!!

Great visit at Holden Onto Sunshine

The house was very nice. Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen with utensils, spices, cutlery, etc. Very nice covered space under the house with picnic tables and a grill. We had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home, well stocked

We visited for Thanksgiving and were very please to find the kitchen so well stocked. We did not have to worry about bringing any items from home, they even had dishes for our small child. Home was beautiful and just right for our stay, short walk to the beach. We would definitely rent this property again.

Holden Beach haven

Delightful!

We so enjoyed this home on Sunshine Lane! We had such a large group that we had also rented a house on beach front and this one. This house was stellar! Our son’s family stayed here and were so pleased and comfortable. One evening he and his lovely wife prepared a beautiful fresh seafood meal using the outside grill and picnic tables for staging! What a delight to have all the perfect cooking equipment, and serving dishes to display his fancy gourmet meal! The games were awesome for everyone to enjoy. The beach is just a couple minutes walk, the beds were perfect, it was so clean! We would definitely want to rent this home again when at Holden Beach!

Great place to stay!

Comfortable clean accommodations. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped with everything one could possibly need to eat in. Beach was a short walk with beach access at the end of sunshine to the left. Quiet nieghborhood. Very relaxing. Enjoyed my stay. Hope to come back soon.

Older but adorable cottage

The CUTEST cottage at Holden Beach. Very close to beach access. Had all the necessities for a comfortable long weekend with friends. Would stay here again for sure!

Perfect Beachside Retreat

This was the perfect place for our crew to hang out for the last few days of summer break. The house is bright and cheery inside with cute decor and a great bedroom layout. The amenities were great and the walk to the beach is short. Felt like a great neighborhood and we loved the vibe.

Great stay at Holden!

This was our first vacation back at Holden in 5 years so we were really looking forward to it & Holden Onto Sunshine didn’t disappoint. Open floor plan, clean house EVERYTHING we needed included inside—short walk to beach outside—who could ask for more? We can’t wait for next year!
