This was a prime location in the Waikiki area! It was a short 1 block walk to the most gorgeous beach, tons of shopping and places to eat around. The place was exactly as described and clean. I also appreciated having a parking spot as parking in this area can be difficult or very expensive. I would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!
Nice location just a block and a half from Waikiki beach. Close to shops and restaurants. Unit is as described, although a little dated. Check in was as described. There were no instructions on what was expected on checkout or what to do with the key fob on departure. The host was prompt answering questions. A little noisy in the morning with commercial truck traffic on the street, but no one should be sleeping in when there's so much to see and do!
Stay wasnât bad and proximity to the beach and stores was nice. Neighborhood was a little rough. Parking onsite is definitely a struggle but there is free parking a short distance away. The onsite property manager was friendly and helpful.
Great location. Quick and easy access to the beach. Parking one night was difficult to find a spot, we parked in an unauthorized area and left early the next mor ing as there were no spots avail.
Although just a 1 bedroom, has 3 full to queen beds...enough for several adults. Can't ask for a better location. Furniture a bit worn but functional. A/C could be better, but adequate. Great location at east end of Waikiki right across from zoo.
Lemon road is super noisy with garbage trucks making their rounds at 3am, the motorcycle rentals go up and down the street, people shouting during the night, constant traffic with many cars playing loud music, Harley Davidson's loud mufflers. Apartment floor has never been washed, rust in the kettle, rust on the bathtub, outdoor furniture is old rusted, and wanbles. The amenities were good, but the furniture is really tired, we never intended on sitting on the dirty sofa. Washroom does have a vent, and mold seems to be forming on the ceiling. Available chairs are dirty, we had to scrub the cooler. Both sink and shower drain take for ever to empty. Utensils are the cheapest we've ever used, so we bought some.
The check in was terrible. After flying all day, there was NO parking spot upon arrival. I had to call the service who then had to reach out to owner. We were exhausted and the process put me into tears. The place was small, but clean except for the bathroom/ watercloset. The tub had rust. My mold allergy can alert me to mold even when unseen- I had to double my medication while staying there. There is no fan in the water closet and barely space to turn around. The AC unit almost threw me into a full respiratory attach and the watercloset had hidden mold in abundance. We were asked to empty a huge collection basin on the lani because it was full of water/condensation and dripping out and off of the lani. The TV went on, but did not work properly.Only one key fob to access the building and elevator. So no splitting up and expecting to get access to the building or appartment of the other person has the fob.Parking was a constant problem. Positive: there were beach toys etc. There were 12 ice cubes in the freezer with 2 frozen ice packs. The kitchen was clean. Location to the beach was great.
Good space, and handy to beach, restaurant's, sights. Key fob entry is good for security, but notâhandy â for a group.
Very tight parking spots. Pull-out bed was very uncomfortable. The air conditioners were noisy,
The traffic in the area was very noisy. Difficult to get a restful sleep.
This is my second time to Hawaii from Australia and this place was perfect for our family. We hired a car and parking was simple, the apartment was close to everything, with being one block from the beach I was able to take my toddler for morning swims. I would definitely book this place again. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. Great location. Only problem was the pull down bed front "feet " They were awkward and wobbly. We were thankful that John fixed our bathroom slider. Overall we had a fabulous time.
The 2 minute walk to the beach was great. We were in close proximity to several eating and shopping options. Site was equipped with beach chairs, towels, and other items to use while at the beach. The limited parking was inconvenient. Not having a car would be okay unless you wanted to do your own excursions rather than rely on a tour bus. We purchased a box fan to quiet noise from the ally (trash trucks, heavy traffic, etc.)
This little apartment is quite well situated if you want to be centered in the thick of city life and close to Waikiki Beach.
It seems smaller than photos make it appear. Its interior could use a little TLC. The 3:00am garbage trucks DO get very noisy right outside your door.
The property was as described. Owner was very responsive to messages and helpful. The kitchen could use a few more items for someone who is interested in cooking instead of just eating out. By day three, mine and my partners lower back started to hurt on the master mattress and I found the top sheet to be scratchy but there was an extra set of sheets in the dresser that were much softer! The bed wasnt terrible, but it wasn't great, likely we're just used to our bed. I did sleep on the couch one of the nights just to give my back a break. There were lots of pillows which I always appreciate. Water pressure is on point! The only thing that I really found to be frustrating is there is only one key and one fob. We do things together and separately so we found this to be quite annoying. We had planned to split up- my partner was going to snorkel while I took the two kids to the North shore to beach hop and get shaved ice ( at least half a day venture with drive time.) Then we were going to switch out a other day so I could do some landscape photography on a ridge hike that was rated a little too hard for the kiddos but the only way to do this was to either lock someone out of the apartment the entire time the person with the key was gone or stay in the apartment the entire time the person with the key was gone. Since there are virtually no public bathrooms anywhere in Waikiki, this is incredibly inconvenient. I actually locked myself out once with the kids upstairs after walking him down thinking I could take the stairs back up without the fob since I was already inside the gate. I was wrong and left my phone upstairs, so I sat in the parking garage in my bathing suit for about 15 minutes. Thankfully a neighbor let me on the elevator and I used a strangers phone to call my daughter and have her push the elevator button to get me to floor 4. Going forward I would recommend they make a second key and order more fobs and ask how many are needed during the stay. If you and your guests are doing everything together at all times then it won't be an issue... but for us, it was a big set back that we hadn't anticipated. It kept us from doing everything we had planned for the week which was quite disappointing.
On the plus side: The property is very clean. And it has a TERRIFIC family-fun closet full of beach chairs, beach umbrellas, cooler, kid's beach toys, etc.The bed is OK.On the minus side: Parking is tight, the neighborhood is pretty sketchy, and it takes 3 (seriously, 3) different remote clickers and a Ph.D. to operate the living room TV. We never figured out how to get "normal" TV channels on the bedroom TV. On the plus side, however: The management office is very helpful.
The location of the suite is very good as it's very close to the beach and the park. Unfortunately the listing pictures don't truly reflect the condition of unit. The couch was very dirty and stained. Management has been made aware of critical cleaning issues between bookings. (Dirty underwear left in drawer, and crumbs, hair everywhere). It's very noisy in the suite early mornings (3am) as garbage trucks are working. Just be aware and bring earplugs. The main bed was comfortable, as was the murphy bed. Kitchen wares were simple and sparce, mostly of poor/old quality. Appliances were in good shape. Fortunately, Alberto from the management team was easy to work with and helpful in promptly providing missing essential items. Beach chairs and toys were available, but adding a few umbrellas would be good. Overall an ok stay, primarily based on the location.
+ location to the beach and shopping
+ full kitchen available
- old building (although looks can be deceiving)
- loud garbage pick up at 4am EVERY DAY
- hostel on either side of the building with people standing outside at all hours (my daughter visited and felt uncomfortable walking back to her hotel at 22 years old and at 4pm). I never felt uncomfortable.
- parking came with my rental but the garage was so small my car was impossible to park if I had not felt comfortable in the vehicle itself.
The apartment itself was very nice. Well kept and stocked. The rental company answered all my questions any time needed. Some updates are needed, but otherwise I would stay there again.
