3 Miles from Bromley, 10 miles from Stratton lodge, 6 miles from Manchester, VT. A frame ski chalet in newly updated deck/fireplace/kitchen. All the amenities. Pet friendly. Hiking and snowmobile trails all nearby. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy a quiet visit to Vermont. Linens not included. Bring your own sheets, towels, blankets. The fifth bedroom is in the basement. The basement also has a living room area with a TV and some futons and a full bathroom.
Great place, tremendous value and nice owner. Awesome kids room in loft and basement play area. Only gripe is about bringing own towels/linens and no place to put trash over week stay.
The house was warm, charming, and clean with more than enough beds for our big group. The location couldn't have been more convenient for our trip to Bromley; about 5 minutes away. The road up into the neighborhood is paved, but steep. If there's any snow on the road, 4WD or studded tires might be a requirement. The living room was lovely. It had comfortable couches, a nice fireplace stocked with wood, and a cozy ski cabin aesthetic. The beds were a little disappointing. None of us were super happy with our mattresses, and having to bring our own bedsheets and blankets was inconvenient. Especially with a 250 cleaning fee. There was no spare toilet paper or hand soap either. The upstairs bathroom always smelled like sewage and has shutter doors that don't even latch, so the adjoining bedroom was kind of unpleasant to sleep in. Despite the negatives, it was fine for a weekend. The host was very polite and responsive,
This was a great property to rent for a winter vacation. Easy access to Manchester, Bromley and Stratton. House had supply of firewood for fireplace. Due to large amounts of snow I'd recommend 4WD or at least front wheel. Caretaker plowed driveway well during our stay. Fully stocked with housewares and kitchen with great flow. Great rental for family or group wanting to share a chalet for a long week or weekend. Definitely would rent again. Dog friendly was a huge plus for us.
My family has owned this property since 1986. We bought it just after Snow Valley ski area closed. We go up all year round. I enjoy hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. It is fun to find water holes in the mountains to swim in the summer.
You are in the Green Mountain National Forest surrounded by beautiful wilderness. It has a large kitchen table that you can all sit down and enjoy a meal together. The fireplace is great right next to the TV so you can watch the game after a long day of skiing.
Full Wifi, 200MB download and 5 MB upload, wide range of cable channels, Basement also has a cable connection so others can watch TV there as well. There are TVs in two bedrooms with a VCR for kids to watch and full box of videos in the loft upstairs. Kitchen is full stocked with everything you would need to cook a big meal.
