We wanted to see Chicago, the property worked for us and was good value in a relaxed area near the transport network to downtown as well as the Airport.
Very clean, very comfortable converted basement in Logan Square, with modern amenities. Location is perfect. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again without hesitation. The property manager is very responsive. The only real issue we had was with dog and stomping noise coming from the people in the unit above. It was never clear to us whether those were permanent residents or other VRBO guests. We contacted the property manager and eventually the problem stopped. The keypad lock can be finicky. It was having issues but we were never locked out. The manager came to replace the batteries after we raised concerns. This was definitely one of the best rental units weâve stayed in.
Very clean and well maintained. We would stay there again for sure as the place is charming. Our 6mo old granddaughter was there for a couple days so wish we would've caught that the LL meant basement, thus, cement floors. However, we made do with blankets when she wanted to play on the floor. Quiet hours were required by us, BUT not from the neighbors in the remainder of the building....Sat night, parties galore til 3am...music and very loud people. Had there not been children, we would've not noticed. LOL Still a very charming place!! Thank you!
First the positivesâŠThis was our second trip to Chicago so we knew a little more about the, âcity lifeâ and were better able to navigate. We never felt unsafe at the property. Two of this smaller issues (sewage back up from a previous renter and the door not locking due to a dead battery) the owner was prompt at fixing and responding My biggest concerns over the property is parking the owner stated there was free parking on the next road over well that road is never empty! There is no close parking! So prepare to walk atleast a few blocks every single time night or day (we stayed 9 days). Also, the neighbors are pretty loud stomping above your head and their dog also can be loud.overall I would not stay again for these reasons.
We needed a place to stay close to Loyola for our sonâs graduation. We loved the space and especially the kitchen. We visited a cute coffee shop around the corner, great coffee! There was a little bit of a bad sewage smell in and around the place.
Everything was amazing. The house was a ten minute walk from Logan Square's Blue Line station, so very easy to get downtown. The house was exactly as shown in the listing, and the neighborhood was almost like a postcard picture.
100/10, definitely would rent again!
Logan Square is a great neighborhood. Chose this place because my daughter recently moved close by. The unit is large. Has three bedrooms and two baths and an open kitchen. However, the door locking system was not fully functioning throughout our time here. We had to contact the owner to buzz us in. Hopefully theyâll have it fixed for the next visitor.
Absolutely loved the property - was exactly as described in the listing. Location was fantastic, short walk to the Blue Line. All the necessities within a 5-10 minute walk. Neighborhood is delightful. Will stay again next time we return!
Wonderful property in the heart of Logan Park. Loved staying in a local area. Property was gorgeous, very clean, comfy beds and lots of amenities. Would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a place to stay while in the Chicago area.
When we visit Chicago, we typically stay with family. That didnât work this year, so we searched for a perfect location for three generations of family. This place met all our needs. We had grandpa, mom and dad and two tween/teen kiddos. Grandpa had his own room and bathroom and the rest of us shared two rooms and one bathroom. The living area has plenty of space to hang out, and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and basics. The surrounding neighborhood is nice, and so many great places in Logan Square are close by. The one thing we regretted was not being able to use the floor heaters since we went in the summer. One thing to note for those with mobility issues- this is a garden apartment, so not ground level. You have to go down 3-4 steps (plenty wide and navigable) to get to the apartment. Those stairs would benefit from a handrail as well just to add some safety for the older folks, but everything else was spot on!
Everything about the property was great, but I would not recommend this property to a traveler with their own vehicle. Parking on the street in front of property was by permit only, and the side streets which offer free parking were always packed. Perhaps at non-peak times this wouldn't be a problem
We had a great time in Chicago and really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental! Logan Square is a fun place- lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Very quiet and beautiful neighborhood!
