Incredible Mountain Views Minutes from Downtown Salida & The Arkansas River
Your perfect mountain getaway! Only 2.5 hours from Denver with amazing views of the Sangre de Cristo and Collegiate peak mountain ranges right from the front porch.
Only 3 miles to downtown Salida situated in a serene rural neighborhood with fully accessible paved (and snow plowed) roads and never ending views of the milky-way in the evenings.
Take in fishing, tubing or rafting the Arkansas river, skiing or boarding Monarch mountain (only a 30 minute drive) and quick access to Salidaâs famous mountain biking / hiking trail system only a 1/4 mile from the house.
Enjoy coffee, breakfast, or cocktails on one of our three decks with 270 degree views of mountains and frequent visiting wildlife including deer, summer hummingbirds and pinon jays.
Amenities include : Hi-def Roku TV (with access to your favorite subscription services - there is no cable TV), flick-of-a-switch propane fireplace for warmth and ambience, ample outdoor parking on driveway (no covered parking), outdoor gas fire table, outdoor grill, brand new appliances and comfortable furniture, high efficiency washer & dryer and heated bathroom floors all add up to making your stay better than being at home. Please note for summer renters there is no central A/C, but with 50-60 degree nights itâs rarely needed with wonderfully cool evening breezes. We do have window and room fans for each room.
Sleeping Arrangements are as follows for 5 guests only:
âą Master Bedroom: Queen bed with USB charging lamps / outlets and newly remodeled ensuite bathroom with heated tile floors (Queen - sleeps 2)
âą 2nd Bedroom: Queen bed with USB charging lamps / outlets and newly remodeled shared full bathroom with heated tile floors (Queen - sleeps 2)
âą 3rd Bedroom: Full/Double bed with USB charging outlets. This smaller bedroom shares the bathroom with the 2nd bedroom. It is ideally set up for one person (Full bed - sleeps 1). Winter Renters - please note that our home is heated with a propane furnace on the same level as the bedrooms which can sound like a large fan when it is running - the sound in the twin bedroom can be challenging for light sleepers. In winter, we recommend that guests who have sleep/sound sensitivities bring ear plugs. PLEASE NOTE: we DO NOT allow additional guests to stay in the living room or in non-bedroom areas on inflatable mattresses or on couches. Please note that our County license only allows for (5) guests total. Not Cots are allowed.

There are a plethora of activities to do in our wonderful valley. Everything from dining, to running class 4 rapids, to skiing our epic mountains, hiking & mountain biking and fishing the Arkansas river. We encourage you to do them all.
