We absolutely loved this place!! The view is worth every penny. I especially enjoyed watching the birds and local wildlife. There is so much to do and the cabin is so beautiful that you’ll just want to stay there the whole time! Definitely something I’d recommend to friends. I also appreciated the beauty of the homes design I loved how it had updated appliances but kept its original architectural charm. What a wonderful home! The owners are so lucky to own this gem.

This home had breathtaking views and was perfect for our girls weekend. The home and hot tub were super clean. The owners really thought of everything a guest would need. They had binoculars, walking sticks, games, plenty of seating, quality throws for the chilly evenings, along with plenty of dishes, drink ware, and coffee supplies. We loved the decor, the views, and the hot tub. The home is close to town but far enough away to feel secluded. It is less than a five minute drive for coffee and dinner. Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us.

What a beautiful property!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fox and Hen Den in Little Switzerland. We had a family vacation, so it was 7 of us. We all found the home to be comfortable. Austin and Leslie were gracious hosts. They communicate well and provide lots of helpful instructions and lists of things to do. The amenities were wonderful At loved having the hot tub and the Nespresso machine. The appliances are modern and easy to use. The road to get to the cabin wasn't bad! It's a narrow gravel road, but unless it's super muddy, i don't see a reason why you would need a 4x4 vehicle. It's pretty well located. It's only 10 minutes from Spruce Pine, which has a Walmart for any groceries or items you need. We'd love to stay again!

My family spent Christmas 2025 here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was clean, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable, and the mountain views were just stunning. The hosts were wonderful — very responsive, thoughtful, and even put up Christmas decorations, which made our holiday stay feel extra special.They were also extremely helpful and patient, even when I reached out on Christmas evening. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway with beautiful views.

Beautiful weekend getaway

House and property looked great. NIce and secluded with beautiful views. The kitchen is well stocked and has all of the basics for meal preparation. They also gave ample soap and paper goods as well. 5/5 would stay again.

Romantic spot with breathtaking views!

We have stayed at the Fox and Hen three times now and each time has been more relaxing than the last! The views are unbelievable and the house is very charming and comfortable. This is the perfect spot to unwind and unplug!

Gorgeous house in a gorgeous area

It was hard to do anything other than sit on the deck or in the hot tub. It's a gorgeous area and the house layout worked really well for our two families. Watching the stars from the hot tub is a magical experience.

Stunning Mountain View’s

We’ll maintained and updated property which would be great for a family or getaway for just the two of you. My husband and I enjoyed the views and hot tub. The beds and living area were great for snuggling up in the evenings and it was the perfect home base with access to Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine and the North Cove area. Highly recommend!!

Breathtaking!!!

This was the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen,. and it's right off the deck!, The house was very clean and there are lots of places in the area to spend your time. But if you want to just relax and take in the view, this is the place to be!!!
