Stayed here with three friends to explore Grandfather Mountain and the Linville Gorge area. This cabin proved to be in a great spot for our purposes and was comfortable, spacious, and reasonably priced. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
My husband, two daughters, and dog stayed here for three nights. It was a rainy weekend, but that gave us the excuse to enjoy the house more. We played games, watched movies, read books, and slept and ate well. The house is very comfortable, with lots of room to spread out, and very quiet. Highly recommend for anyone looking for some R & R!
We had a lovely time in this timeless, very tall (3 level) log cabin! The kitchen isn't huge, so expect to bump into each other as you get your breakfast but is well-appointed. They had everything we needed and more. The two stories of windows in the great room put the trees and mountains as the centerpiece of our stay. When we arrived, the CO alarms were going off and the place wasn't cooling well, but Greg was responsive and responsible and all was well in short order. (Turns out there was no CO. It was just time to replace the sensors.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods. We were pleased with the fully equipped kitchen. We were happy that the drive up to the cabin was paved. The cabin was roomy, nicely furnished and had a great deck overlooking the mountains. A short walk from the cabin was a cool waterfall and close by were many wonderful hikes and a great winery within a short distance
This log cabin was the best for our age span and the needs for our weekend together. With 3 full baths and the many beds available to sleep our 5 adults and 4 older teens comfortably, we had the best time! As the listing said it is rustic but very comfortable. I would highly recommend! Owner extremely nice! best time The kitchen was a bit small
Everything was great, we visited many hiking trails, did river tubing and lots of other atractions. Resting every night in the beautiful deck and looking at the stars was definitively a highlight, we will for sure be back :)
Everything we needed was already there. It was the perfect solution for getting our family away from everyday life and shut out the world. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to connect and appreciate nature.
We loved everything! Cozy house with history, clean, equipped with everything what you would need. We really enjoyed our weekend there and we wish to come back again!
It is a wonderful, wonderful cabin. Greg is one of the best owners we have ever worked with. This wasnât our first stay and hoefully, it wonât be the last. Looking forward to our next stay real soon.
We had a whirlwind weekend. This was our first time to the area - loved it!! Will be back. The house was perfect, very clean fresh linens, lots of sleeping options! Would definitely stay again!
We had a relaxing stay at the Black Sheep Corral for Labor Day weekend. The property was very helpful from the moment we booked the property. Great communication and super nice. The log cabin was everything we imagined and more. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks again
We enjoyed the beautiful views and quiet area. House was well stocked for preparing a Thanksgiving dinner. Spacious, able to accommodate many people. Pet friendly.
Very nice place convenient to several attractions.
Overall, we had a very nice stay. The place is clean, quiet, and convenient to attractions. The oven in the kitchen was not working properly, but otherwise everything else worked well.
