Our family came from Wilmington NC to spend a few days in the mountains. This comfortable cabin provided a peaceful escape from summer heat and a happy gathering place. Cabin is furnished with everything they needed. The pond reflected the blue sky and beauty of the mountains during the day and provided a soundtrack of Nature at night.
We stayed here while we on a motor cycle weekend during the summer. It was a GREAT relief from the heat. The house is very cozy and charming. The pond is beyond beautiful. The owners live up the path and were very helpful and accommodating. I would stay there again if I am in the area.
We loved our mountain Cabin. Sitting by the pond and watching the wildlife and listening to the frogs and birds sing was wonderful! We saw Turkey hens and their babies comfortable enough to walk up to the cabin.
We had a great time! The place was perfect for us!
We give this cabin a 10 not 5
It was beautiful, quite, all you could hear were birds and frogs and the BREEZE ,the best thing was the surprise in cabin massage, thanks bunches Marsha we will be back
Willow is a great place to rest after a long day exploring the numerous stops along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The location is conveniently located near the parkway without all of the traffic.
Marsha was an excellent host, with great communication, willing to help with whatever we needed.
We met friends from another state and enjoyed our time a this rustic remote location. Just what was needed to catch-up with old friends. Place was well equipped and the wildlife was abundant.
Very nice and enjoyable! Lots of deer , rabbits, wild turkeys and of course the singing frogs. Just what was needed to relax a few days . Love that porch!
Willow is just perfect for a getaway that's close to a lot. It's homey and quiet and the pond lends a sense of tranquility. If you are looking to escape, this is perfect! We loved it! Note that there is not a hair dryer even though the listing says there is.
This was an amazing experience. My family and I all had a great time in this cabin. Everything was VERY clean and Marsha provided everything we needed. Marsha was very kind and made sure we got there without any problems. The cabin is espectacular! It Is very close to waterfalls and other attractions like the blue ridge parkway, little Switzerland and mining museum. I can't wait to visit again!! Thank you for everything Marsha!!
Marsha was great!! The weather was horrible on our first night, so we had some issues finding our way back to the cabin. I called her and she was more than happy to walk us through an alternate route. The cabin was clean just as described. I would stay here again and have already recommended this place to a friend. Great place with a great price. Great place to spend time with family and relax.
Cozy Mountain Cabin truly exceeded all our expectations! Marsha is a wonderful host. The cabin is located one mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway in a location in close proximity to many activities including Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, Emerald Village Gem Mine, and Mount Mitchell, as well as numerous great hikes. The cabin is also located in Little Switzerland, which is a quaint little village with great dining experiences.
The cabin was very clean and the beds so comfortable! The kitchen is very nice! We absolutely enjoyed having coffee on the front porch to start and end our days while our teenager enjoyed kayaking around the little pond.
We are so glad we found this cabin near the Blue Ridge and, if ever in this area, we will definitely stay again. We highly recommend this very clean and relaxing cabin.
We absolutely LOVED this property. If you are looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place. Very roomy, everything you need is there. The ONLY thing I would not recommend is if you have a motorcycle this is not the place for you. We were suppose to bring our motorcycles on this trip and changed our minds at the last minute and brought our jeep instead. The driveway is very steep and all gravel. But it made it fun for us using our 4x4.
What a pleasant surprise! This place far surpasses the photos! My children loved chasing fire flies, watching and listening to the bull frogs running around the pond! So convenient to so many things to do and just minutes off the Blue Ridge Parkway! Marsha was a great communicator, gave detailed directions to the home with photos of landmarks making it super easy to find. She had the home/ kitchen stocked wonderfully for our stay. There are also a bunch of pamphlets / information in the home to inform you of things to do, places to eat, visit, etc. We found this to be very helpful in deciding where to visit and eat! Our family is already planning our return to the cabin but with a new list of things to do and places to see! What a peaceful, beautiful place to stay!!
This is my new favorite place to be. I felt at home in that there was everything we needed and intuitively put where you'd look for it. I love the decor and all the artsy accents. The first few hours there we saw so many hummingbirds and several deer and heard tons of frogs. I actually miss being here.
The cabin is so secluded but a mile away is Little Switzerland with great places to eat a nice meal, a sweet treat or a cute souvenir. It rained a bit when we were there and yet it was wonderful sitting on the front porch.
Check in was seamless and the directions were sent in a text which was key to get to the place. Internet was great surprisingly which enabled us to plan our day.
Marcia is a great host and communication with her was effortless.
I actually considered giving this place a terrible review so people won't know how great it is so it'd be available to us when we want/need to come back. But that would be selfish.
We will be back, Marcia!
