My best friend and I spent a weekend at the lodge and had a wonderful time. We were welcomed by Debbie and she gave us a nice tour of the place. We love sea glass hunting and there is a great spot not far from the lodge where we found TONS. I also found shark teeth! The lodge was very clean, unique, and in a beautiful location. We can't wait to come back with our husbands!
Had such an enjoyable time over the weekend with the gracious hosts Peggy and Gary. Tidy and clean property in a beautiful area. Great food and great company. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice peaceful getaway.
This lodge is gorgeous! Located on a private peninsula at the southern tip of Hoopers Island. Surrounded by beautiful clear water. Abundant birds or all kinds, crabs and turtles to be seen everywhere.
The accommodations are rich and comfortable. A true upscale hunting and fishing lodge. Peggy was warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. This is the perfect stress free getaway!
We loved our stay and will definitely be returning soon!

Peggy and Gary are wonderful hosts at the beautiful Riverside Lodge Bed and Breakfast which is sandwiched between the Honga River and Chesapeake Bay.
We enjoyed the quiet serenity and watching the water fowl and eagles flying nearby.
Peggy cooked us a hearty breakfast each morning and also a delicious dinner for our anniversary.
Our guest room was immaculate and there is a spacious living area and dining room. The upper level of the Inn is a cupola with 360 degree views from which you can watch the sunrise and sunset.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Riverside Lodge Bed and Breakfast and our friendly hosts.
I cannot even begin to express the image gratitude that my wife and I have for Peggy and her husband Gary. The Riverside Lodge is a truly exceptional location with a magical quality to it that is surpassed by none. This would definitely be someplace with the wife and I will come back to again and again and again. Thank you so much Peggy and Gary for a wonderful time You truly made our ninth anniversary something special.
The owners' hospitality is unsurpassed. They went to lengths to make sure we had everything we needed, including accommodating dietary needs. We were served hearty and delicious breakfasts each day in accordance with our schedule, and when our schedule changed, they adapted to it. The place is immaculately clean and frequently serviced. It's a beautiful location.
One thing to note for future travelers: Our T-Mobile service was essentially non-existent there, so if you also have that service, make sure to download or print maps in advance and then enjoy being disconnected. (Riverside Lodge has wifi on the property that worked well.)
Peggy and Gary are the perfect hosts: welcoming, friendly, attentive and respectful of your preferences. Wonderful views of the Bay and River via the lodge -- including the cupola -- and walking around the majestic property.
This was such a cool place to stay. Itâs off the beaten path, without a whole lot to do but enjoy your surroundings, which is exactly what my friend and I were looking for. The journey there involves driving through an old fishing town, and crossing beautiful old causeways surrounded by the Chesapeake and salt marshes. It was a window into such a unique and special little section of our country , with a culture of itâs own. The place itâs self was charming and equipped with all our basic needs. If you are a duck hunter, you will be particularly charmed by the decor as the place is a former hunting lodge, and maybe even still serves as one during hunting season. Peggy sweetly made sure we were welcomed upon arrival, and prepared a hearty and delicious breakfast in the morning. For the most part, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, while Peggy provided the perfect balance of privacy and hospitality
My wife and I spent a Saturday-Sunday on the eastern shore to celebrate her birthday. The Riverside Lodge was a great place to stay! The host was very friendly, the breakfast was great and it was fun to socialize with the other guests. The location is off the beaten path which can be good or bad, depending on what you are looking for. I highly recommend it.
