Pros:The house - Super clean, and the beachy decoration was really cute! The kitchen is stocked with general stuff you'll need. And the sunlight! Oh my gosh, the house feels like it was built for light! The yard - We didn't try the grill or sit out on the deck (because bugs) but there is ample room if you've got kiddos or dogs that need some space. (We did find some old bug spray in the cabinet, so that was useful!)The neighborhood - Really peaceful, and the neighbors are super friendly. (Everyone waves!) There are chickens and a rooster across the street, which was really charming, and sheep out back. All the animals belong to neighbors, but I really enjoyed watching the neighbor corral the sheep.Cons: Well water - I've never been exposed to well water before, and it wasn't my favorite. There is a definite odor to it and it leaves a brown film on everything because of the iron. As the listing says, you'll want to bring your own drinking water.Amenities - We had to locate sheets and make our own beds, which wasn't a big deal, but I wasn't expecting it. There aren't any toiletries provided. We also had to buy a roll of paper towels. The island - You should know that you've got a drive to get off the island. Though there's zero traffic, it takes like 20 minutes to get to the main road before you can go anywhere. Just be prepared for that.We would definitely come back in the future, and I can see why the place is booked during the summers!
