Mignon, confortable et gai ... cette petite maison de ranch dans une rue calme dans le pittoresque village de pĂȘcheurs de Wenona, une petite communautĂ© sur la pointe sud de Deal Island oĂč crabbing et ostrĂ©iculture sont un mode de vie est un sĂ©jour parfait et paisible battre en retraite. Eventhough vue sur l'eau est d'une seule fenĂȘtre dans la maison, ce que cela ne signifie est que vous ĂȘtes trĂšs proche de l'eau ... Ă  quelques minutes d'une rampe publique! Cette petite maison vit grande et agrĂ©able avec sa cuisine rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e offrant beaucoup d'espace, beaucoup de grandes fenĂȘtres et une lumiĂšre vive, et la peinture fraĂźche tout au long. Nous avons tellement aimĂ© cette maison et nous espĂ©rons que vous aussi avec votre prochaine visite Ă  Deal Island.

This was the perfect little getaway stay! The home was super clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The neighborhood was quiet, and the check in/lock box was easy to use. The full kitchen came in handy for our budget; we were able to go grocery shopping beforehand and cook our meals there to save on costs.

The house was very cozy and the neighborhood was nice and quaint. The drive onto the island was beautiful and scenic. Would highly recommend as your headquarters for exploration around the surrounding areas!

Excellent Accommodations

Awesome place to stay.The house is wonderful and very clean. Was a little disappointed due to all of the private property surrounding us, but there is plenty to due in the surrounding areas . We enjoyed the beach a few minutes up the road and found lots of fresh seafood close by. The history was also nice to learn about the area.The neighbors are pleasant and friendly too. Time well spent. Thank you

Wonderful Stay

We loved this little house on the peaceful island. The house was very clean, with comfortable furniture and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. The island scenery was so beautiful and relaxing. We made day trips to Raccoon Point and Chincoteague for some beach time. The house stayed cool despite a major heat wave, so it was the perfect place to unwind after a summer day out. Would definitely recommend!

Great little cottage

Our stay was great. Cannot wait to go back, the place had anything and everything that you could possibly need. The owners were very nice to deal with and got us all of the information we needed and in a very timely manner. See ya in August!!! Thank you Wanda & Brian

Quiet but with Animal Noises!

Pros:The house - Super clean, and the beachy decoration was really cute! The kitchen is stocked with general stuff you'll need. And the sunlight! Oh my gosh, the house feels like it was built for light!The yard - We didn't try the grill or sit out on the deck (because bugs) but there is ample room if you've got kiddos or dogs that need some space. (We did find some old bug spray in the cabinet, so that was useful!)The neighborhood - Really peaceful, and the neighbors are super friendly. (Everyone waves!) There are chickens and a rooster across the street, which was really charming, and sheep out back. All the animals belong to neighbors, but I really enjoyed watching the neighbor corral the sheep.Cons: Well water - I've never been exposed to well water before, and it wasn't my favorite. There is a definite odor to it and it leaves a brown film on everything because of the iron. As the listing says, you'll want to bring your own drinking water.Amenities - We had to locate sheets and make our own beds, which wasn't a big deal, but I wasn't expecting it. There aren't any toiletries provided. We also had to buy a roll of paper towels.The island - You should know that you've got a drive to get off the island. Though there's zero traffic, it takes like 20 minutes to get to the main road before you can go anywhere. Just be prepared for that.We would definitely come back in the future, and I can see why the place is booked during the summers!

Warm and Welcoming As Always!

This is our second time staying for a girl’s getaway. The house is so homey and welcoming and extremely clean! The area is so peaceful and quiet. Will definitely be staying again!

Little House in Wenona

I absolutely love this property. It is filled with everything you need for any length of stay. I always bring my GSD - she loves going for walks and seeing all of the wildlife.

Very Welcoming Excellent Location Home!

If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this house is definitely the one to rent! You are surrounded by beauty and it is extremely quiet. You are a short walk away from viewing the water and a very short drive away from the little beach. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing all the sights. We especially enjoyed walking through the very old cemeteries as we are both into history. We also took a driving tour around the island and stopped at a few places around the island to enjoy the view. The home is VERY welcoming. As soon as I walked in, I felt right at home and relaxed. The owners have stocked the house very well with all the little odds and ends you may need. Will most definitely stay here again! Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Great time on Deal Island

We were going to Deal Island to visit some family. While there we did some fishing and crabbing. We had a fantastic time on the Island and are looking forward to our next visit. We will tell all of our extended family to stay in the cozy cottage. Thanks again!!

Quiet and cozy

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. The skipjacks were showing up for the races when we were there and the small beach was a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Got to see the sika deer the first night there and it was overall a very comfortable place to stay.

Wonderful stay in a cute little cottage off the beaten path

Staying in Wenona was a great getaway. The house was exactly as it was depicted in the listing, and there were so many amenities both in the house and in the shed to make the stay very enjoyable. The one surprise I had was that I didn’t realize I would need to put sheets on the bed when I got there. The bed was made up with the comforter and pillows, so when I got ready to go to sleep, it was a little confusing to realize that I had to make the bed before climbing in. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and it was a great week on Deal Island!

Very Cozy

We enjoyed the stay very much. The home is in a quiet area and close to the little beach. The use of items in the shed for fishing/crabbing was very helpful. The only downfall we had was the front door, in the afternoon the door gets so hot we had to use towels to touch the handles and the door itself without being burned. I got a small burn on my elbow from touching the door.

A gift from heaven.I

I am 78 years old and I enjoyed biking, kayaking and fishing in secluded areas that can be found by being friendly to everyone you meet. I also liked the stillness of the night. Thank you for having me and my friend Dirk Moore!!!!
