Good place - little bit of a drive to town. Bring what you need
We had a good stay. Had to switch houses after 1st day. Got back from hiking and house was 88 degrees. AC went out. They switched us into a new place within an hour. We actually liked the new floor plan better. It was very limited with extras in the kitchen for cooking but we made due(only had salt and pepper). Free onsite laundry was nice. This is 30-35 minutes to Bryce. 15 minutes to town.
My friends and I were visiting Moab to check out Arches and Canyon lands for Fall Break. This was an amazing location for both parks. Also communicating with the property managers was super easy.
It was our first time staying in an RV so it took a little while to figure it out but it was perfect for us. Our questions and concerns were quickly answered.
The RV I stayed in was very nice and staff members were helpful. I didn't have any issues and it was comfortable and clean. In addition to the kitchen, it had a grill, picnic tables, and chairs.
The RVs are a few hundred feet from the highway, so you'll hear some highway noise. There isn't a ton of traffic at night, and nothing woke me up.
Checkin time was 4 pm,we got there at 340pm.Unit was open as per Email went inside and found a total disaster.Dirty Dishes used Toilet paper on the floor discusting.we got in touch with Kim about 350 pm and she send the Resident Managers to clean. The where done with there â deep cleaning â at about 420 pm.We never felt comfortable. So we decided to leave a day early and asked for a refund and where offered a free one day stay at there upgraded Tiny Houses on our next trip.We will go back to Moab because itis a great area with a lot to do but will never stay there again. There is no regular TV only Netflix. Ps If youâre lucky to get Unit 1A like we did,you can admire the Neighbors discarded cars and the Resident Managers junk behind there Trailer
Prior to our arrival, we had great communication with the owner(s) Kim and Sam. We were able to check in early, which was helpful after a long drive. There is a property manager Houston and his dog "Sippy" who greeted us daily. The site was secure and easy to find off the highway, just outside of town. The trailer was clean, as pictured, and stocked with clean towels and plenty of kitchen supplies. The hot water worked great for showers and the gas grill was a nice place to make dinner. We also used the free laundry room before we left and that was handy. The challenges we had included the main fridge, which did not cool for the 2 out of 3 days we were there. There were troubleshooting sheets included in the trailer for various items and we also Googled videos for that model. We emailed the owner a second time, that first evening, after realizing the fridge had not kicked on after 8 hours, and we never received a reply the rest of the stay. There was an outdoor fridge so thankfully we lost minimal groceries the first 24 hours. Regarding climate control in the trailer, understand the temperature outside was over 100 everyday. The a/c in the camper struggled during the hottest points of the day until 7 or 8 pm and the trailers are not shaded so, a challenge after a morning/afternoon of hiking. Our final night in the trailer, the wind died down and we were able to make a fire in the firepit by the office. They sell wood for $5/bundle at the office, offer comfortable chairs to relax in and there were water spigots adjacent to the pit to douse the embers. The stars were beautiful.
Didn't look as shown, never stayed there. Owners were rude, suggested me, a single female, drive around to prove 'nothing less cramped' was in area. Trailers right up next to each other, people sat drinking round a fire, untidy. Not family friendly. I went there to write as picture looks like its kind of private. It is NOT. Left having to take three hours to find alternative place. Owner shouted at me. Kept all money. Never heard back from VRBO about getting even partial refund for the hundreds of dollars I paid. Disgusting.
We had a great time staying in Samâs RV. We had never rented an RV before and we loved it! It had everything we needed and Sam was very accommodating as he let us arrive a day later and stay a day later than we had originally booked. I would definitely recommend staying in Samâs RV and when we are in Moab next time we will book this RV again.
We had a great time in Moab and our stay at Funstays was the icing on the cake
We traveled to Moab from Atlanta for a 5 night stay at Funstays, Redrock. The RV was very clean and on good order. Everything we needed was already thought of and provided by Sam and his crew. The RV was large and comfortable for our "family" of four. Sam happened to be staying on site and stopped by our trailer a couple of times to make sure we were happy. He also offered sight-seeing advice for some local areas that we were unaware of. It was great to have the kitchen available so we didn't have to eat out for every meal and the shower was a welcome bonus after mountain biking for many of the days during our stay. There was a washer/dryer on site which allowed us to clean our clothes before heading home. What a great time we had thanks to Sam and the Funstays crew. We look forward to seeing them again!
Great RV and great owner; everything else fell short for us
Sam the owner was terrific and the RV is well-equipped and very nice. It would be great for families or groups, but did not serve our needs very well as two single females. The campground hosts were not friendly and never asked if we needed anything or even bothered to say hello when passing by. It's far from town and a very windy location---was too windy to even use the awning so impossible to sit outside if it wasn't later in the evening. The view would have been beautiful but for the office, storage shed and dumpster that blocked our view. The traffic noise from 191 goes all night long, so if you're a light sleeper, you will be awake all night. My friend got a little sick from the heat and the hiking so we packed it up a day early and left. We would not stay here again; however, as I said in the beginning, a great place for families or groups who don't want to interact with other people or venture into town for a little nightlife after a long day hiking and exploring.
We were lucky enough to find Sam's great RV on VRBO. A great experience for us on our trip to the National Parks of Utah/Arz. Sam and his staff were in the park and willing to help at every turn. Its a great fun way to spend some time with the family. The RV was clean and even roomy enough for our family of 6. If you have never had the opportunity to stay in an RV, its an experience you need to try. We were able to cook out on the grill and enjoy the sunrise coming over the la sal mountains behind the campground. There is even a free washer dryer with the soap and dryer sheets provided which certainly helps when your family is on a long vacation. Moab is great and only a short drive up the road. Make sure you check out Rafting with Navtec and ask for Lolo. We had a great time. The Moab garage is also great with nitrogen created ice cream.
Camper was all set up and ready to go upon our arrival. Beautiful brand new camper well stocked with all the necessities and then some! Beautiful, quiet setting not far from town. So much better than staying in a standard hotel! Highly recommend!!
Sam was a great host. He upgraded us to a newer RV at no charge and made sure that our entire stay was pleasant and comfortable. The RV was clean and we had a great time. We are already planning further trips to Utah and will not hesitate to stay again in one of Sam's RV's. Staying in an RV beats a hotel room any day!
