This private garden condo is on the first floor of the south side of the building ...about 30 steps along the pathway leads to the gem of south Maui, Keawakapu Beach!

Keawakapu Beach, located on the south shore of Maui, Hawaii, is known for its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. This picturesque beach is a favorite spot for locals and return visitors and features soft golden sand, clear waters, and lush greenery surrounding the area. It's a great spot for families to swim, snorkel, and sunbathe, and watch the sun set at the end of the day.

The master bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals and enjoy the ocean view outdoor dining space while listening to the waves. At this beachfront property we provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach cooler. We suggest renting beach toys (such as snorkel gear, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc) from one of the many rental companies on Maui.

Hale Hui Kai is a beloved among first time visitors and repeat guests. There is a small shared oceanfront pool next to the common area covered lanai, which is equipped with comfortable lounge space for guests to enjoy when you need a break from the Maui sun.

Great location, beach access was awesome!

The beach access was amazing! A few updates needed on the cupboards but ease of beach access to one of the best on this side of Māui makes up for it. Could use A/C.

Great beachfront vacation

We had a great stay. The condo was steps from the beach and was well stocked with everything we could need. It is a large condo and we had plenty of space. We also had plenty of beach chairs. We loved being steps from the beach we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

There was no AC but the ceiling fans were adequate to keep the unit comfortable. The management was very responsive and great to deal with as they were clear in all of their instructions and details. Fabulous location

Unique boutique stay in a quiet condo community. Almost on the beach. Note Pool is not heated. But not problem because you have sand beach at your door step! People in community very friendly. No air in condo but many fans for use in all rooms. We fixed few screens in windows in order to have windows open for air flow. Would like to see carpet updated. Love the layout and location of the property. Yes we would stay here again!

Our favorite beach on Maui

This was our 7th stay at this location but first in this unit. The lack of A/C was a little uncomfortable at times. Being on the first floor, it's impossible to leave the door open for the breeze to cool off the unit. The location of this unit is perfect with amazing views!

A little slice of Heaven!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Aloha! HHK is a absolute dream. We've stayed at HHK 5 times now and it never disappoints. Unit 110 is our favorite unit as we can see and hear the ocean from our lanai (you can hear the waves at night too which is wonderful!). The unit is a bit retro but we actually enjoy that aspect of it...makes it very comfy cozy. Its very clean and the king bed is very comfortable. Its only a few short steps to the best beach ever. Management is very helpful and the property is absolutely delightful. Can't wait to come back. Mahalo Hale Hui Kai!

A true gem!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If I could give this more than five stars I would! Talk about location! This was oceanfront and only about 40 steps to the sand and water. Hearing the waves hitting the shoreline from our living room was wonderfully relaxing. The staff and Coach who is the manager we all very helpful. Coach even lent us his umbrella! We enjoyed dining at nearby Monkey Pod by Merriman and then further out to Paia for a great meal at Mama's Fish House. We drove up country to Kula Lodge, elevation 3200ft, for lunch and were treated to breathtaking views. We took long walks on the shoreline and saw beautiful sunsets. We will definitely stay here again!

Two bedroom at Hale Hui Kai

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a decent rental. It’s a great location for beach lovers. The unit is probably fifty feet from the beach with a nice ocean view. The unit is well equipped with plenty of kitchen equipment and basic necessities to start your stay. Overall the unit feels just a bit tired and has no air conditioning and took two day with all the fans running to get the mildew smell out. Still I would say it’s a nice unit. Hale Hui Kai is a nice small complex with a nice laid back feeling.

Unit 110 Hale Hui Kai Review

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Hale Hui Kai a number of times. It is our favourite location in Maui. On this occasion we rented 2 units, 210 and 110. Unit 210 was terrific. Unfortunately, there were some concerns with unit 110 - the first time we have had concerns at Hale Hui Kai. The unit was in need of updating. The kitchen cabinets were peeling in spots. The hallway bath had a plugged drain which was attended to by a plumber after we called. There were dead cockroaches visible as well. Hopefully it can be improved for future visitors.

Great stay!!

This property was great for our stay in Maui! My husband and I were vacationing with another couple and the space was perfect for what we needed with two bedrooms and two separate bathrooms. The photos of the actual location don’t do it justice in my opinion! It’s a great view of the ocean and just a few steps from the beach. We were a little nervous about not having A/C but the condo stays surprisingly comfortable with the doors open and fans on, even with the weather in the 80s & 90s every day. The condo was clean, check in was simple, and parking was always easy! Would definitely recommend!

Perfect Holiday Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was great, until the electricity was turned off in condo 110, because the owner hadn't paid their utility bill! We were forced to move altogether into another condo I had rented, with one person sleeping on the couch and another on the floor. There were no other condo's available for us to use. I was told by management that I would be credited for two nights, but, so far that hasn't happened.

The location and larger property was amazing. We rented a first floor unit that was 2nd closest to beach and pool. We could see the ocean from our patio. We were provided with beach chairs and towels. The location is near restaurants, but if you need to get to rest of the island, we had easy access to the main thoroughfare. The unit is an older model. It needs love and care. If you need a place to sleep, and to cook a quick bite then it's you'll be fine. If you want new, high end, and/or A/C then this is not for you. Enjoy

Good location for best side of Keawakapu beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s nice and close to the beach, about 40 steps only. I would recommend for property management to change all the carpets into tiles or hardwood and fix the cause ot what’s making stains on the ceilings. Also, the management needs to do a better job at pest control. We killed two big cockroaches while we were there and I’m sure there are more of them inside the condo.

We love this unit due to the location and we hope that the current owner will maintain the property as the former owner did. Just a bit of updating and maintenence would make it easy for us to continue renting and refer others. Bryce and the rest of the property management team are rock solid. Always accessible and full of information, and with the perfect mix of personality and professionalism!

The unit is a little dated and in need up some updates/small repairs, but was still was a very comfortable place to stay. The unit is well stocked with kitchen gear and beach gear. No A/C in this unit. Fortunately we didn't need it on our stay (December). I would rent this unit again in a heartbeat. Thanks!
