This unit, Hale Hui Kai 106, is one of Maui's hidden gems. Hale Hui Kai sits directly on the sand on one of the best beaches in the Hawaiian Islands, Keawakapu (Kay-Ah-Vah-Kah-Poo) Beach. Immerse yourself in the ultimate Maui beach vacation, with an ocean view from its private patio area, and immediate access twenty steps from the soft golden sand and warm, pristine Pacific.

It is no wonder that this beach is a local's favorite. It features vibrant and calm snorkeling reef practically right outside your door, warm-water swimming, wonderful sun-bathing (we supply beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella), and a store and indoor-outdoor restaurant/lounge one hundred yards away. Keawakapu Beach is Wailea's gateway beach, and accesses the famed Wailea Beach Path, with a half-dozen high end restaurants a short walk away.

The vibe at the condo complex is full beach mode, with a low-key and low-density feel, and an ocean front pool just 50 feet from the shoreline.

Every comfort and convenience has been anticipated by this unit's San Diego based owner, and it's been beautifully renovated top to bottom. Split AC to cool the unit, a luxury King bed in the master and two twin beds in the second bedroom. The kitchen is replete with every necessity, including blender, coffee maker, and cooking/serving implements to create your own island feast should the desire strike. The kitchen remodel blends the warmth of golden bamboo and stunning granite, embracing the high-end Hawaiiana theme of the unit.

The two bathrooms are similarly styled with matched bamboo cabinetry, granite, and tile, and everything has been completely remodeled. Lighting, fans, and décor accessories transcend typical vacation rental fare and make your “inside time” as enjoyable as possible.

Venture out and you will find a dozen dining options within a six-block span on South Kihei Road, and plenty of shopping. There is a rental outlet for boards and gear a stone's throw up the beach, as well as a convenience market.

This immaculate property, managed by Vacation-Maui, is complete with beach gear, including beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella, and a small cooler. Due to back-to-back bookings, cleaning, and maintenance schedules, early check-ins and late checkouts cannot be accommodated at this time. Very clean and well equipped

What a magical place! Walk out the front patio and be on the best beach ever - soft sand, warm water and flat drop off, great for the kids. They also loved the pool. The unit was very clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen. It even featured thoughtful things like coffee mugs for our morning walks on the beach. Lots to do in the surrounding areas, though we were grateful to have our rental car. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Great location and chill vibe

I took my two kids here for spring break. The place was clean and well stocked. Location was great and we were all pleased with how quiet and peaceful the setting was. I would have given it 5 stars but my daughter complained about the bed being uncomfortable and the WiFi wouldn’t work in the bedroom.

Great location, comfortable condo

We returned to this property after staying last year. We love being able to go back and forth to the beach really easily. The beach is great for swimming, gentle waves, and around the point is good snorkeling. The beach is long and connects to resorts so you can walk a ways.The condo is comfortable and has lots of supplies in the kitchen and even some toys for our almost 2 year old to play with. We loved it and will more than likely be back for a third trip!

Whale of a Time

This little unit is a gem. Located steps from the beach where whales, splash and play. Beautiful sunsets each night on the under crowded Keawakapu Beach. Beds are comfy, kitchen is stocked and TV offers many movie choices. Will stay here again

We loved the location. Literally steps away from the beach. Property is well maintained, with plenty of outdoor furniture, an oceanfront (unheated) pool and covered lounge area. We watched whales and beautiful sunsets. Very accessible gorgeous beach with snorkelling directly in front.Unit 106 was everything we wanted. Ample space for 2 couples. Top end appliances. Comfortable furniture - especially the beds. Management company was easy to reach and they responded quickly. Would definitely stay here again!

The location of this condo is amazing. The property is well kept with direct access to a nice sandy beach and an outcropping of rocks to snorkel around in the morning. The only thing I can think of that was a complaint is my brother didn't like the twin bed in the second bedroom and ended up sleeping on the couch the rest of the time. Said it was really noisy with the mattress cover. A few properties over you can find a small general store with paddle boards and kayak rentals. There are many restaurants and stores a few minutes away.

Definitely booking again!

This place was wonderful! The location is amazing! The building has charming old Hawaii vibes, quiet, and is super well maintained. We loved the whole property. Our lovely unit, the lounge chairs on the grass area for sunset, the pool, and of course the incredible beach! Absolutely perfect! The unit is super clean and comfortable. Stocked with everything you need! We loved the little walk down our path to the beach throughout the day. We can't wait to go back!

Location is Great room is small

We stayed in room 106 from July 27-Aug 2, 2024. The location is great about 25 steps right to the ocean, there is no ocean view. This is a 3 story condo there are people above you and beside you. It is not the quietest place you will hear all your neighbors especially in the morning when everyone gets up. The place was clean but it was much smaller then the pictures show. The master room is very small with hardly any room to walk around, the guest room has the two twin beds and my teenagers said it was fine. The couch however does not pull out so that was a problem since there were 6 of us I had a 5 and 11 year old. only one person can really sleep there. The upside was it was like having a private beach as there really was no one there so not crowded at all. The building faces the west so there was a beautiful sunset every night. Just depends what you are looking for location was great but is a small place and loud at times.

Best Hawaii Accommodation to date!

My family loves Hawaii and have been to different Hawaii islands 7 times in the last two years and this VRBO has been the one we have enjoyed the most. My son loves this place more than he loves Disney Aulani. The place is in a very convenient spot close to Kihei and Wailea. However, the best part is the ability to walk a few feet and touch sand. We will be back!

Location was great!

Location was great. Beach is stunning. Enjoyed great sunsets, morning & evening walks on beach, chairs, boogie boards, umbrella came handy. Just wished they had provided a cooler. Plenty of dishes.

Maui trip

Our stay in Maui was amazing to say the least! Pros and cons about this place, though. Pros- perfect location! Steps to beach, close drive to restaurants, clean, had what we needed. Cons- no ac. This one was kinda of a big deal for us. It was soooo hot. They provided plenty of fans but the condo was still overwhelmingly hot. Also, there was construction going on above our condo- which we probably would have considered before booking. As of what we gathered they will be there for the next 6 weeks, fyi for who ever is staying after us. The people working had a couple of boards fall from their balcony (that we saw) which scared us, as we have 2 little kids they could have hit. They apologized, and we're very nice about it. We understand accidents happen. Overall though- I DO recommend this place or location. Hopefully AC gets installed soon and it would be perfect.
