Hot Tub *Upper Canyon*King Size Bed*" Cowboy's Trail"
A cozy and relaxing getaway in the woods. Enjoy the mountain air and wildlife in our patio. My place is only a short walk to the tranquil Rio Ruidoso River, yet still close to all the downtown action.
Relax in a private outdoor hottub with an open roof view of the stars.
Unfortunately, we were there during the flood and had to leave a day early. The area where the house is didn't flood but we were behind the bridge and had to wait for the water to go down. We lost water that evening and decided to leave the next morning. Below the bridge it was devastating in the river area all through town. The cabin is small and reasonably clean. We enjoyed it but the flood put a damper on our stay
Had an amazing time and everything was perfect. The hot tub was ready to go and very private. Host was very quick to answer any questions I had. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely come back!
The host stayed in communication and was quick to responded. Place was very clean. The hot tub is closed in so it provides a comfortable and private hangout.
Enjoyed our time at this cabin very much. Even with the mishap at check in, we really enjoyed our stay and the place was very clean. We were disappointed the wind was so strong we couldn't enjoy the fire pit but what can you say about mother nature! We would gladly come back and tell others about it. Thank you
We absolutely loved it. We are local and wanted a weekend away. Cabin was bigger than I expected from photos. Had everything we needed. The location is close to shopping areas and downtown Ruidoso. Loved the hot tub and privacy.
Would stay here again.
Quick Christmas trip. My husband, daughter, dog and i stayed for a couple nights. Super cute tiny place but perfect for us! We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. Easy town to navigate and they had a little list of popular places to eat and shop!
My boyfriend and I visited for the weekend. The cabin was exactly as described. Very clean and everything we needed or could have needed was provided. Short drive to downtown & easy drive the Inn of the Mountain Gods. We will definitely visit again, maybe during warmer weather to utilize grill and outside area.
It was great! Everything was Clean and Hot Tub was very Relaxing.
Note: Poison Ivy in front at deck and growing up tree in front by deck.
For guest staying 5 days or more, need more paper in rest room and more than one hand towel.
Place was great will be back for sure!
My partner and I had a weekend of activities planned for us in ruidoso and wanted a nice cabin to relax in at the end of the night and this one exceeded our expectations. The cabin was much cuter in person, photos donât do it justice! The hot tub as well as the area itâs in is really beautiful as well. We definitely want to rent this cabin again for our next visit. The host was great and very responsive and kind.
First of all, the location of this cabin is great. We saw an abundance of wildlife.....deer, elk and a bear. Hummingbirds were there all day.
The negative is that this cabin is a trip or fall hazard for the elderly or children. There is a raised lip going into every single room. I myself caught the toe of my shoe several times though I was able to catch myself before I fell.
Probably the most insulting thing was the envelope asking for a tip for the housekeepers. We paid 100.00 for a cleaning fee, which is higher than many cabins in that area. I know, because I checked. We were also told if we didn't clean up before leaving, (which is normal for any VRBO) we would be charged an additional fee. I pay the owners for the cleaning fee, not the housekeepers. They are paid by the owners. I feel if they think they need a tip, they should be the ones who tip their employees. There are also many doors there that do not close properly or come open after you close them.
I will say that the people were very prompt and courteous in answering my message after we couldn't get the front door to lock from the inside.
Also, it's a good thing they had a lighter by the fireplace, or we wouldn't have been able to get the gas stove to work. The stove won't light by itself. This is also the first of numerous VRBOs that I have stayed in that had plastic over their mattresses, which makes for a lot of crinkling any time you move.
For almost $300.00 a night, after all the service fees, cleaning fees, taxes, etc., we expected more.
Again, we enjoyed our stay, but feel like this cabin needs some upgrades.
We were so happy with our stay in Ruidoso. This cabin was a 2 night stay as we traveled through the state. The house was comfy and warm. Great stargazing while you enjoy the cold weather and warm hot tub. House was easy to access and in a cute neighborhood close to everything! Owners were receptive and welcoming and easy to reach by message. We will return!!
