Margarita Sunset .... aussi bien que l'image semble qu'il ne le fait pas justice. Cette maison de la baie est située à seulement 6 miles à l'ouest du col de San Luis, à 20 miles de l'île de Galveston et à 10 miles de la plage de Surfside. Il y a une plage juste en face Blue Water Hwy, c'est à cinq minutes à pied. C'est un point avec un quai privé de 200 pieds juste à côté de votre porte arrière. C'est l'une des meilleures activités de pêche, de kayak et d'observation des oiseaux sur la côte du golfe.

Appréciez le vrai point d'expérience de terrain avec vue à 360 degrés et une plage damées juste en face de la rue. Nous sommes l'endroit principal sur le traîneau local de kayak du Texas avec des milles de canotage et de pêche juste par votre porte arrière. Christmas Bay est un paradis pour les pêcheurs. Great place to stay

It was a enjoyable place to stay! The kids enjoyed catching crabs. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. We enjoyed cooking on the grill every evening and enjoying the views. Everything we needed was provided.

Beautiful place. Host had great communication and allowed us to check in as early as possibly. Had so much fun fishing right off the deck. Lots of blue crabs and the view was absolutely beautiful. Many memories made here and will definitely back.

Will return!

Me and my family came down to Freeport for a few days! This was a good location, especially if you like to go crabbing and fishing. Best part is you can do it right outside the house and you don’t have to leave. Our host Charles, was very friendly and answered any and all questions I had.

Great views!

The property itself, the location is amazing. On the water with great views and access to big water is easy. The home itself is clean and very comfortable upstairs. There's also some extra bedroom downstairs. We actually accidentally cracked the stove top and the owner was quick to respond and gracious. I real pleasure to work with and took care of everything for us.

Perfect family getaway

This is in the perfect location; right next to the boat slip. Close to beaches, town, and restaurants. Galveston and the historical pier are right up the road. The host of this property was amazing, quick with response to all needs. My family and I had a great time fishing and crabbing right off the back dock, exploring and beaching. I highly recommend this property for your next getaway. A+!

Quiet and relaxing time!

This was our second stay at the house and once again we had a great time. House located down a quiet street but the beach is about 300 yards away. Charles has always been very responsive to answer any questions. We will be back!

Great for kayaking and fishing on Christmas Bay or just relaxing on the beach.

Wanted to share the coastal experience with friends from Dallas. We were able to kayak/fish as much as we wanted then take a break at the cabin then walk/ride to beach to play and even catch a few fish jn the surf. The property is the perfect location so everyone was able to enjoy a variety of activities so no one got bored. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. Enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the deck.

Great home! Lots of fishing!

We rent lots of homes 4-5 times a year. Really loved this one. My boys fished everyday! Home is very nice. Lots of space! We stayed in the bigger of the two. We will be back!

Great time with family.

The property was great, my only surprise was that the property was listed as 3 bedroom. Based on the photos I assumed all 3 bedrooms were in the main house. That wasn't the case, the 3rd bedroom is actually a laundry room downstairs (bathroom included). My family and I really enjoyed our time at Christmas bay and look forward to returning.

Awesome location, great house, great time!

We had a blast! The house was nice and the photos in the listing give an accurate depiction. The kids caught a meals worth of keeper crabs off the dock. Caught fish in the bay and on the surf. That is a great beach and only about a 5 minute walk. Downstairs shower was very convenient! Most important things to me on a coast house - good AC & good water pressure in the shower and both boxes were checked. We'd love to come back here!

4th of July Family Trip At Margarita Sunset on the Canal!

What an incredible home & owner!! Our 16 year old loved her private room on the bottom of the beach house. The kids room very comfortably slept all 4 of our younger ones. And the masters suite was pefect for us. The views from the deck were breath taking!! The canal, the lower deck and the fresh air and breeze from the palm trees is something we will always think about! Pure perfection. Also the beautiful 2 pergolas on the upper decks made for the best morning and evening conversations. The staircases leading to the decks are also perfect with a gate you can secure at night. Bring your fishing rods as it has perfect access to the water. And the beach was a quick one minute drive across the road with free beach parking access. Very painless booking, check-in and check-out. We will be rebooking at Charles' house. Its gorgeous inside and out and was perfect for our blended family of 7. We made memories to last an entire life-time. I will be thinking about the margarita sunsets for a long time!!

Awesome and unique experience

My family really enjoyed staying here. There was so much to do! My 11 year old daughter fished for the first time in her life and caught a fish on her very first cast! We caught crabs off the doc (some good sized blue crabs and I think a stone crab). We were able to rent kayaks (kayak rental company delivered to the house). This place is great for pets - our dog loved her walks on the beach. Getting food was easy - we ordered delivery from the HEB in Freeport. On thing that really stood out and is undersold in the listing - the birds! We saw lots of birds that I have never seen before in my life - and right from the comfort of the house - you can watch them for hours - they put on a good show! Owner is very responsive and helpful. House itself was clean and in good working order. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

Vacation after Storm

Did not find out until Saturday night before Monday check in that power was restored. Tried to cancel with owner and get refund but he would not give. Only recourse was stay or rebook . We received email from VRBO on Saturday saying would be no issues if cancelled but they were no help with owner. He was firm come or rebook no refund!!!We had conflicting schedules so we had to go. Arrived On Tuesday and left on Saturday. Beach was closed until Friday but owner said they were open all the time. Trash and mosquitoes everywhere in abundance. Ice maker did not work and gas grill did not work. Bedroom on ground floor smelled so bad no one could stay in it only used for storage. Owner did give access to ice machine in his locked area.We thought VRBO had more input when using their site to rent vacation rental.Owner did call several times.

Nice location but in need of repair.

The property location is the best part of this VBRO. Great fishing, kayaking, bird watching, and a close walk to the beach. The house needs more attention than it is getting. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and must have sustained water damage at one time. There is a very strong musty oder inside of the room. The rest of the house is okay and served our purpose as a place to sleep. There was not enough space for more than four adults in the living room and only three deck chairs for relaxing outside. The kitchen is basically nonfunctional. The dishwasher is broken and was not secured to the cabinets. There was either not enough or too many kitchen utensils. There were some repairs needed when we checked in and the management handled them quickly. I stay in rental properties about three times a year and this was a bit over priced for its condition and organization.

Christmas Bay Stay

Everyone enjoyed the stay. Great location, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets with a constant breeze on the deck and by the dock. Rented Kayaks to fish Christmas Bay but the winds made it difficult. We didn't catch any fish, but we caught several Blue Crab right along the dock. Also caught a huge Stone Crab but had to release it since it only had one claw. The description needs a minor update and the small upstairs bathroom smelled bad on arrival, that was solved when a dirty wet rag was found and discarded. The downstairs room had a slight unknown chemical smell. The place could use some updates due to the salt water air. There is a loose board on the dock which needs to be secured. The board teter toters when you step on the end. We had no issues which would of caused us to contact the owner or maintenance. Beach access is straight across the Blue Water Highway where you can drive to your spot, park and enjoy. The beach was very clean. The location is great with easy access to the beach and Christmas Bay. The TPWD boat ramp is a short walk away especially if you have a boat or kayaks. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing Getaway

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the place for you. My family and I had a great time at this property in Freeport. I love to get out in my kayak and fish. The house is literally a 20 second walk from a kayak launch. We could see wade fisherman in the bay all day long. Perfect place to do some fishing. The beach is within walking distance as well. We chose to drive (less than a minute) so we could haul all of our beach gear. You literally drive onto the beach which was wide open and as clean as could be. Our goal was to get away from home and enjoy the outdoors (including getting our teenage kids off their devices and technology). And we definitely accomplished that. The deck on this house is amazing. My wife and I spent a lot of time on the deck just relaxing. If you need a Walmart within 5 miles or a fast food chain on every corner, this is NOT the place for you. But that is what we were looking for and wanted to get away from everything. There are a few local restaurants, and we tried a couple that were good. But we mostly just ate the fish we caught or fired up the grill at the house. All the necessities are provided and there are plenty of beds. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to get back some day. Melody is awesome to work with. You won't be disappointed!

Great place to stay

Everything was great. Had an ant problem but the owner was quick to respond and get the situtation taken care of.Very peaceful area. Very short distance to the beach.Our grandson loved catching fish and crab.

Great getaway

The location was perfect with a great view of the sunset. The property was clean inside and out. Caught a few crabs and some fish. The property is literally 1 min from a public beach. Will stay again

The Crew

We had a fabulous time!! We took kayaks and loved being able to paddle the bay when not at the beach. We also took our golf cart. I was nice for going to the beach. This property had everything we needed!

Nice little getaway.

Nice property. Facilities and accommodations were as described. Quiet area. There were some adjacent early morning boaters loading boats into the water and fishermen, but we never disturbed by them.
