AC doesnât work, owner never responded
Terrible experience, checked in Monday around 6pm, condo was set to 75 degrees. We turned the AC to 70 and left for a few hours. When we returned Monday evening around 11pm, the temperature was 78 degrees. Tuesday AM, we woke up and the condo was 80 degrees, all six of us were very uncomfortable and couldnât sleep. We messages maintenance Tuesday AM at 8:30am, were told it was being worked on. I called Tuesday afternoon to escalate, no one came. Temp hovered between 80-82 in the unit. I called Wednesday, again no eta or update just that someone would show up. At this point, my family is miserable. Repairman arrived around 3pm, said compressor was broken and that we should inquire with vacasa for alternatives. I called vacasa to see if we could move rooms, was told nothing could be done. Keep in mind room was 82 degrees still with a 7,6,4 and 15 month old. I asked the rep Wednesday if they could guarantee the air be fixed Thursday, no response. Thursday AM, repair man arrives again. Says needs a new motor and will be back later. I call vacasa at 4:30pm, was told they were âjust going to call meâ. The owner was unresponsive and they were unable to fix the AC. So they offered to move us to another building. The new unit was fine but we were told this at 5pm and needed to pack everything for a family of 6 and move 12 streets down. This wasted our entire Thursday evening after we already were uncomfortable for several days without being properly informed. We were forced to stay in horrible conditions with no apologies or other solutions. I donât think many people would stay in a unit as long as we did in those conditions.
