Aqua Lodge Houseboat "The Grey Lady"

This houseboat has 2 Queen beds, 1 Double bed and 1 Twin bed. The houseboat has a flat-screen TV with cable in the living room along with complimentary WiFi. When you enter the boat, you walk into the kitchen and can either go downstairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms or take the spiral stairs up to the living/dining area. The sliding glass doors in the living area, opens out to a back patio which, provides the magnificent view of the open waters inside our marina.

Mangrove Marina & Resort has full marina services including a boat ramp, fuel dock, wet slips and trailer storage. Bar & lounge is on property providing great food and libations. There is complimentary WiFi in public areas and parking are also provided.

My family stays at VRBO's so we can just hang out, cook and play games. There really wasn't sufficient appliances to cook with. Not even an air fryer. There was a toaster and a 2 burner electric heating element thing and the toaster is in desperate need of being replaced. But the food at the dive bar was excellent.. we just had not budgeted and prefer not to eat every meal out. The office ladies were very friendly. We would stay again if they would stock the place with an air fryer, toaster oven, blender, some appliance and this place would be fine

Great house boat

Spacious, clean, quiet, and close to activities. This was a great place to stay, manager was friendly and helpful.

great place for long weekend

Houseboat was located at end of the pier providing great views. It had a great living room area and deck overlooking the harbor. The kitchen did not have a stove but made it work. One of the bedrooms was small but manageable - overall great place for weekend

Perfect spot to hangout in the Keys

Our family of four and two friends were very happy with this rental. The location is great, right on the end of the harbor with magnificent sunsets off the back deck. And there is a perfect little restaurant/bar in the harbor that we went to often for drinks and tacos. The whole experience was excellent thank you!

A short fishing trip with some friends

An excellent place for charter boat fishing.Enjoyed unique house boat. Very clean, etcThe Wi Fi needs to be upgraded since we could not access local network. Otherwise, a fun experience. Dive Bar has excellent food, too. Nice and laid back.

Small glitch w key pickup but otherwise seamless and enjoyable. Left some belongings there and they were super attentive to helping with that.

Something different

We were trying to find something different than a hotel/in and came across the houseboats. Checking was easy, the place was clean. A relaxing stay while being close to everything key largo, tavernier, and Islamorada have to offer. As a plus, we saw dolphins and jellyfish floating around in the mornings.

Fun in the Sun

I brought my granddaughter on this trip for her spring break. The houseboat was such a nice and unique place to stay and she loved it. The location is perfect for all of the things that you might want to do in the Keys but at the same time quiet and peaceful on the water. The boat was very clean and well stocked. The people at the office were very helpful and everything from check in to check out went smoothly.

The Grey Lady was wonderful!

It was fun staying on a houseboat as a group. The management took great care of us and let us park the motorcycles up nice and close to the dock. They recommended a charter boat for fishing out of Key Largo that we thoroughly enjoyed and supplied little random things when we needed them. We would definitely go back!

Houseboatin

Just three adult males looking to do some fishing and diving for 4 days in the keys. Found this place, it was perfect for our needs. The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather but that's certainly wasn't the houseboat's fault. Already planning another trip during better weather.!

Great family vacation!

Aimee was wonderful with communication before our arrival date. The location is perfect, close to all activities but yet nestled away. The boat house was exactly as pictured, cute, quaint and clean. The property has an outdoor pool, bbq area and outdoor showers (my favorite!) The bar / restaurant was closed during our stay so that was a bit of a bummer but there are so many other places close by it wasn't that big of a deal. The only (slight) negative that I would say is the price. Other then that it was a perfect stay!

Wonderful houseboat

We LOVED the Grey Lady and Mangrove Marina. Like another reviewer stated - location, location, location, which is why I picked this particular houseboat for my husband and I. It sits at the end of the marina with unobstructed views. I only have a few minor complaints. 1) I did not receive any communication regarding the check in process. We arrived at the marina around 4:30 pm and had to call the phone number listed in VRBO to find out how to check in. 2) there was an overwhelming smell of air freshener on the boat that did not go away even with windows open and lastly the TVs did not work. Again, these were minor annoyances. If you have a group or kids, I would recommend bringing games/activities as there were none on the boat-comparing to other VRBOs. Also I did not find any extra blankets for chilly weather. There is plenty of refrigerator space. No stove or oven. Hot plates for cooking and a basic amount of utensils. We would totally stay here again. We loved the community gathering spot with a giant fire pit, bar, food truck and heated pool. Everyone was very friendly and the location was great.

Unique place in the Florida Keys - and best houseboat on the dock!

We really enjoyed our stay on the Grey Lady. Location, location, location! The houseboat is the last one on the slip and faces out into the mangrove marina, with lovely views. It’s also very spacious inside. Upstairs is an open LR -DR area with access to the outdoor seating area. Below are the four bedrooms and two baths. There’s a small heated pool at the marina, which our kids enjoyed on cool winter evenings. Didn’t get any advanced communication like some VRBO properties, but Mike called us on the day of check-in to let us know that the office closes at 5 pm and he left a packet out for us, so check-in was easy. He also left the houseboat lights on for us, which we appreciated. The kitchen does not have a traditional stove top. There are two electric hot plates. There’s lots of refrigerator space (2 minis plus a small fridge-freezer upright). Regular-sized coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. We comfortably ate breakfast and lunches but decided to eat dinners out. We didn’t need the fourth bedroom with the single bed but it’s a small space - would be perfect for a kid. All in all, this was a fun experience and great location to enjoy the Florida Keys!

Unique and cool experience

We very much enjoyed our stay on the Gray Lady! Boat is as pictured, beautiful views of the water and sunsets. Pool was also a big hit. Would definitely come again!
