Adequate for my 2 adults sons and I for 2 nights. House furnishings are a little data, but not bad for the price. The grounds could be better attended to in addition to more detail given towards those laundering the bed linens.
We had a great stay everything is as pictured only thing is the WiFi we had problems with it got it fixed and itâs slow but we are high off a mountain
We had a wonderful stay, there are games already there to play with the family. We didnât need to provide anything other than personal items. Had a wonderful visit to the area. The house was clean upon our arrival.
We stayed with friends to go hiking at Roan Mountain and enjoy the quaintness of Beech Mountain. I can say this property is ideal for anybody with dogs. It exceed our expectations. We'll be back!
Pros: we liked the location, very close to restaurants, pet friendly, private area in the yard
Cons: the house was not as clean as I would have liked and overall needs some TLC
The cabin is in a great location, we loved the fireplace and enjoyed the view with a warm hot chocolate. The oven in the Kitchen it wasn't working well, but we could manage. Close to the cabin you can find restaurants, entertainment and markets. The cabin was clean, provided some wood and very cozy blankets, and they have a good wifi signal too. Definitely we will come back again! Take in mind that you have to walk stairs to go into the cabin , for us that wasn't a big problem, we love to hike ;)
Overall not perfect but would stay again. 3 star just because upon arrival the house had a rotten smell due to fish washer not working. Property manager called upon arrival and told us this though. Overall not a bad place and very close to the slopes
We came up to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everything each of us has going on. This house definitely helped us unwind. Great location. The house had everything we needed but a pizza cutter but we used a knife so we were good. Those steps to the house will let you know that you're out of shape for sure. You will also use steps going to the firepit area as well. So keep that in mind (in case anyone has a issue with stairs) If you can definitely ride the alpine roller-coaster.
Conveniently located, if you want to hit the slopes this house is only 5min away from Beech Mountain and 30min away from Sugar Mountain.
My family and I had a great experience, however the cleanliness of the place did not meet our standards. The couch, carpet and throw blankets were full of long, white dog hair, the laundry room had dirty towels and we found dirty socks in the main bedroom closet and the coffee maker had a huge hole. This property has a lot of potential, just needs a little Tlc, I wish I could give this property a better rate.
This house was so relaxing. We were 5 mins away from beech mountain. The fire place was really nice to enjoy along with some board games. The bears came every night and sit on the porch. So cool! Just kidding. The only problem we had was that the dish washer was broken, and the master bedrooms bed was full of dog hair. We washed the blankets and pillow cases, which I donât think was our job to do. Those two things just are not enough for me to write a bad review to a place we enjoyed so much. If the bed was clean it would have gotten 5 stars.
The house has a strong musty smell after you walk in. It appeared to be clean, but some stuff just doesn't appear clean after being so old.
We purchased batteries to the TV remotes so we could watch TV and we purchased coffee filters so we could make coffee (Coffee, coffee maker, and coffee grinder were there)--had to do the paper towel filter the first day, but now there are over 90 filters for future visitors!
It would be helpful if there were instructions on how to enter the property and how to use the split units. We had to look up the model of the split units to be able to decipher what all the symbols meant on the remotes while we were freezing trying to heat the place.
Also, parking in the driveway is on a different street, but make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to be able to access the entry to the driveway. We decided the safer option was to stay at the top of the property on the side of the road.
We made a 2 day journey to get to this house, not realizing we had to take all of our belongings down almost a 3 set staircase that was pretty steep and narrow. We later searched for the lower entry that allows you to go up 2 sets of stairs instead.
First night we noticed all the outlets are extremely loose (not something that can be tightened, full replacement needed, which was offered later). The plugs mostly stayed but the metal prongs hung low which was a toddler nightmare.
The following morning we noticed the master bath had tiles missing and shattered ones sticking up, along with a black mold filled standing shower. The other bathroom was clean but the tub didnât plug unfortunately, something to keep in mind if you have kids.
The last straw was following my toddler around the house into the master room just to find him seconds away from eating a pill he found next to the bed. We looked it up & it was a 20mg anti depressant.
Overall really disgusted with the house condition and lack of effort for cleaning.
The management company initially offered to waive my cleaning fee, which was comical.
10+ calls later and 7 hours of communication via email and text (they prefer text) we got transferred to a house after less than friendly frustration.
If youâre looking to enjoy your stay, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

It was very clean, had all the necessities. There were a couple of things...we didnt see a propane grill only charcoal and the bottom piece to let it vent was broken but we were still able to use it, just carefully. Idk if we weren't doing something right or what but we couldnt get the big kitchen window to lock or the living room.
For the price this little cabin was perfectly fine. There were a couple areas that needed attention, primarily the bathrooms, but otherwise it was fine. Location was great and the price was right. Would definitely stay again.
Iâd say this cabin met expectations very well! Great living room and big wrap around porch for gathering spaces, big windows, small kitchen with older appliances but everything worked well, easy to control temperature, and good beds to collapse in. On the spectrum of rustic to plush, Iâd say it falls pretty squarely in the middle. Wifi was a little hit or miss and there were a few areas in the master bathroom that had been repaired for function but definitely not aesthetics. But the price was great and we like Beech as a base camp for the surrounding area. This location would also be superb for skiing. Overall, thumbs up! Would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We came for the Woolly Worm Festival, and had a great weekend. The location and views are amazing. The only issue we had was the air/heat units didnât work properly. It was very cold inside that first evening, as the wall units did not seem to be working, and only some of the baseboard heaters worked. Throughout the night, the wall units came in and we woke up hot. The rest of the trip, the wall units wouldnât turn on whether we pushed the button for heat, cool, or fan. Iâm not sure if it was user error or technical l problems, but either way, they should be fixed or instructions left for visitors. We liked the layout of the cabin and loved the fully stocked kitchen. Other than the heating issue, we enjoyed our stay.
Helpful tip: your GPS might take you to the lower entry of the property. It is a gravel drive that is too steep for most vehicles. If this happens, go right back out and then down the street. Turn right onto Dogwood lane to find the actual entry.
I tried contacting them to reschedule and never got a response. Also the shower they donât show in the pictures is big enough for children or tiny people, being 5ft 11in and 250 no way I was fitting in there! Other than that it was not the cleanest but not the worst. Comfortable beds and living area. Nice deck area but beware of the stairs up and down the front and back. Overall not a horrible experience but could definitely use a better cleaning and a heads up on the small shower.
Property is nice but there are over 40 stairs to get to the front door. This is a factor for anyone having to carry suitcases and groceries. It rain most days for us and the stairs were very slippery. That being said, I would come back because itâs a comfortable house and a great location
Florida Association this Cottage is in good condition and in a great location. We had daily visits from deer, including two fans who apparently resided in the immediate area. The fire pit was a welcome addition as was the stone fireplace. Cleanliness could have been improved a bit and the state of the smaller shower in the unit was not pleasant. Lots of mildew in the shower and broken tile on the bathroom floor. Other than that we experience very few issues, including a circuit breaker that insisted on blowing for the kitchen on a couple of occasions and the discovery of a Oreo cookie that had been nibbled at by what can only have been a mouse or other small rodent. No one in my party possessed or eats Oreos so it had to have been left over by a prior guest. Improved housekeeping would have remedied this situation. I never saw a mouse or other past, including insects, so not a big deal in this game of things. I would definitely rent this property again, in spite of the minor challenges experienced.
