This was a great property and the host was fantastic. She was so cordial and so hospitable and spent time with us. We had a good time talking to her and her husband Dave I will go back in a minute and suggest this property to everyone it was just beautiful.
Karenâs guest house is beautiful. The outdoor area was lovely as well. Mountain view is spectacular! We were so close to everything we wanted to see and do-saguaro national park, sabino canyon, and Catalina state park! Karen and David were stellar hosts!
Quaint and comfortable accommodations with many accommodations- pool, BBQ, fire pit and outside sitting areas. Convenient location to Tucsonâs attractions
We had a wonderful stay in Karenâs casita, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed! Karen and her husband gave us some great recommendations on hikes and restaurants in the area, thereâs so much do here we will definitely be back!!!
The casita is nicely decorated, clean and well appointed. Some areas of property are rather cluttered. Host responded quickly to a maintenance issue. Enjoyed the birds and nearby hiking.
We stayed one week in this mini house. It was clean and exceptionally well stocked, everything from a First Aid Kit to ziplock bags and bathroom supplies. Karen does not miss a beat setting up this property. The only thing we noticed that was not available were luggage racks for unpacking and packing. We hate to put rolling bags on nice clean beds to used some beach towels over the bed. (Being seniors we did not want to unpack bags at floor level!). The pool was nice and clean and we came for a week of cycling and appreciated being able to wash our bike gear every day since it was hot. The house is filled with the sounds of birds.
We loved the time we stayed in this guesthouse in Oro Valley. Karen was so welcoming & friendly. It was the perfect place for my husband & myself. It was very clean & comfortable & the location was outstanding! The outside space was wonderful! I look forward to staying again in the future.
Karen and Dave were wonderful, friendly hosts. We felt home away from home. The guesthouse is a dream, clean and so well equipped, nothing missing. We also enjoyed the garden, the pool and the grill for our BBQ. We had a great time here in Oro Valley and we are going to miss you and the dogs.
The Casita is great, the views are great, and Karen is great! Everything is as good or better than the pictures. Karen is extremely responsive and just a wonderful person in general.
My wife and I were looking for a place for the two of us for a 3-week winter get-a-way, and this lovely place was perfect. The location is great - close to hiking, shopping and very quiet and secluded. The property is beautiful inside and out, freshly remodeled with new everything, and a wonderful outdoor patio/pool area. Our hosts Karen and Dave were wonderful too, very friendly and helpful. Overall we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
"Mother-in-law" type property attached to the main house. Very nicely finished: wood trim, lighting fixtures, and a glass shower bathroom. Lots of attention to detail.
Gracious hosts who were welcoming, but also gave us privacy.
Love the location - very quiet and gorgeous.
Karen and David were wonderful, friendly hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and were always considerate and helpful. The rental is clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. Kitchen and bath were well stocked. The shower was amazing. Appliances are top-notch. There are many nice seating areas outside, and a great grill. It was nice to sit around the pool. We walked from the property to the Linda Vista Trail, and many more trails are a short drive. We really enjoyed our stay!
My partner and I were visiting the Tucson area for our anniversary getaway, and I mentioned this in my initial booking message. When we arrived, we notice a sweet little gift from Karen (the host) along with a kind note. The place was very clean and very cute! During our whole stay, Karen was so kind and accommodating for anything we needed! The pool during the hot day was amazing, and soaking in the jacuzzi after my partner and I attended a concert was immaculate. I highly recommend this stay as well as the host! We will definitely book this place again if/when we return to the Tucson area! Thanks again for everything, Karen!
Our long-weekend retreat to Karen's guesthouse in Oro Valley was perfect. Karen is an exceptionally welcoming and caring host, tending to our every need. She responded immediately throughout the booking and check in process, and reached out with offers of assistance throughout my stay. She greeted us at check in to ensure that the guesthouse met our needs. The newly-renovated guesthouse is beautifully decorated and was thoughtfully stocked, with everything from coffee, cooking spices to toothbrushes and toothpaste, as Karen anticipated every little thing her guests could possibly need.
The guesthouse has all of the amenities one could hope for, with a pool and a jacuzzi right outside the door, and expansive patio area that allows you to immerse yourself in the spectacular view of the mountains, sunsets, and starry skies. The amenities, the view, and Karen's remarkable hospitality made us feel like we were staying at a 5-star hotel with a hostess that welcomed us like family. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Tucson!
Been in Tucson most of my life. Can say I'm a native because I moved out here when I was two. Father built the house and guesthouse while working a full time job, raising 6 kids. I am a Life Enrichment Director and work with seniors. I love working with seniors. I love entertaining, hiking, biking, pickleball, working out, water sports, swimming, and country music. I love to cook and always trying new recipes.
This property is special because my father built it and yet it is old but has a lot of memories and charisma. Lots of family and friend events have been here on the property. I got married in the back yard and have hosted a few weddings, many birthdays, bridal and wedding showers.
