Romantic Tropical-themed Bungalow by the Sea. Pet Friendly!! Sleeps 2
A romantic getaway that will make you feel like you are miles away from mehome. The smell of the ocean air sets the tone. It's cozy, comfortable, and just a short 2 minute stroll to the beach. Shopping and dining are just a short drive to mid-part of town.
And the best part? It's dog-friendly, so you can bring your family pooch - no need to find a dog-sitter! Note that there is a small yard that is not enclosed.

This is a guest house with a private entrance (walk behind the large house). There are other guest houses nearby and it has a community feel. There is a train that goes by a few times a day (a bit more in summer). You will hear it a few times a day during the warmer seasons. You can wave to the people on board, which makes for a little nostalgia and joy. Please note the large patio sitting area and hot tub is for the large house only.
Romantic and welcoming, this home is ready to welcome you after a long day of traveling or exploring the area. Go outside at night and star-gaze! On a clear night the stars are just amazing (and romantic).
The bathroom has a small tub/shower combination. It is small. This home has one bedroom with a queen-size bed.
Amenities: TV/Netflix (TV swivels towards couch)
Wifi
Fold out table/bar stools on wheels
French Press
Microwave
Kitchen essentials
Hairdryer
Iron/Ironing board
Basic condiments, coffee, and tea.
Our house is 100 years old and due to the way it was built we are unable to provide a washer and dryer for use. If you have an extended stay we are happy to bring you fresh towels.
Beach Access: 2 minute walk to get to the beach. The shortest path is across the street, west side of the street (go North one house) and through the dunes.
Parking Notes: Room for one car in the driveway. See parking spot for BUNGALOW
Things to know:
Full kitchen
The kitchen, though compact, is perfectly suited to preparing a tasty dinner, with a mini-fridge, a stove, an oven and a microwave.
Dog-friendly. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you bring your dog please be mindful of barking as this is a quiet neighborhood. Note that there is a small yard that is not enclosed. Please pick up after your dog (bags provided).
Quiet time is 9pm for this neighborhood. Parties will not be tolerated. Please be mindful of our neighbors. This is a house for a relaxing getaway and to recharge.
There is a house in the front lot that can be rented with this Bungalow. It has its own separate entrance and sitting area. Your sitting area is behind the bungalow and here is also a table and chairs hidden in the grape vines.
What's nearby: The main commercial district of Rockaway Beach is less than a mile away from this home, and features a range of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The beach itself is just across the street, so you can walk out of your door and have your toes in the sand in minutes.
Spend an afternoon combing the beach for interesting artifacts - if you head south, you'll see the highly photographed Twin Rocks just offshore. Just across Hwy 101 from the neighborhood, youâll find the Rockaway Cedar Preserve. An easy walk will bring you to one of Oregonâs biggest trees, a 500+ year old cedar. For those looking to go a bit farther, Lake Lytle is just over one mile to the north. Go for a hike in Twin Rocks County Park just under four miles away, or head 13 miles south to Tillamook and tour the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory or go wine tasting at the Blue Heron French Cheese company. One of our favorites is Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint. The oddly-shaped, but aptly named, Octopus Tree of Oregon is a massive oddity.
There is an amazing lookout point there as well.
Jetty Fishery and Marina and Kellyâs Brighton Marina are a little more than three miles north. They rent boats and supplies for fishing and crabbing or touring the scenic Nehalem Bay. You're surrounded in every direction by opportunities to hike, kayak, canoe, fish, and otherwise spend time enjoying the great outdoors.
Parking Notes: Room for one car in the driveway. See parking spot BUNGALOW
