All you need

This little private lower level apartment is all you need for a terrific stay. Perfect little place for two in a very quiet area, close to a bus stop.

Just what we needed

We needed a place in walking distance to town and restaurants, and this apartment was exactly what we were looking for - perfect for 2 people. It’s small, but the space is configured so it doesn’t feel small. The bed is incredibly comfortable, bathroom is beautiful, and it was easy to communicate with the owner - we’ll be back!

Convenient & Comfortable

This basement apartment was clean, quiet, and conveniently located (15-20 min walk/5 min drive to town). The hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply. Perfect for anyone looking for a nice place to call home base while exploring the island.

Apartment was very comfortable. A little farther from town but UBER was excellent. Reasonable and quick response. Rates higher on weekend .

Excellent stay but location misleading

Apartment itself is perfect and great communication with owners. The location in the listing is misleading and states the property is much closer to town than it is. Both the map and distance to locations on the listing is inaccurate. Listing says 1 minute walk to Nantucket Atheneum but it’s 15-20. We didn’t mind the walk at all. Highly recommend staying here just wish VRBO would update the actual location. Only other complaint is no travel soap or shampoo is provided which I assumed would be a standard offering.

Great place, experience could be better

We rented this basement apartment for the Christmas Stroll. Overall, the location, size and set up made this a convenient stay for us. But it would have been helpful to have outside lights when we arrived so we could find the entrance. Also, the place could have been cleaned and presented better (no soap in bathroom or kitchenette).

Mixed feelings

The apartment is in the basement, which we knew. In general it’s updated, clean, well furnished, everything was in good working order. Check in and out was simple and straightforward. By far the best thing was the dreamy king sized bed and the bedding! That in and of itself was worth it. Downsides: the cold concrete floors with no real rugs was uncomfortable. No bath mats or shampoo provided, No artwork and a slightly odd layout. Also, it’s really not in walking distance to downtown, unless you’re wearing sneakers and up for a mile plus walk. So— somethings were fabulous and some were so so.

Nice Apartment

The apartment was very well appointed and the renovations were very new. "Lower level" does mean basement but there were windows to let in some natural light. The yard was very nice and we enjoyed the firepit while we were there. Neighborhood is quiet. We walked to the grocery store and some restaurants, a little over a mile. Downtown is a 15 - 20 minute walk. My wife enjoyed the access to bike and hiking trails nearby.

Nice inside basement apartment

The basement apartment is nice. Unfortunately our 1st two impressions were bad. As we walked down the stairs to enter the apartment, the concrete walls were covered in green mold. The online picture shows the entrance to the house, but they should show the entrance to the apartment as well. Then when we entered the apartment, we saw that the apartment was not ready at all, somebody had stayed there and nobody had cleaned it. There were garbage bags and dirty laundry, etc. Even though a very nice cleaning lady showed up in a timely manner, the cleaning was done in a rush. There were no extra clean sheets and/or towels so they had to be washed in a rush too. The apartment is recently renovated and the inside is nice, but they haven't finished. The shower glass walls had black duck tape, I guess to secure the glass. There are hanging cables on the wall from the TV being relocated, maybe a picture can be hung to cover the cables. Nice big windows, but you are looking at a moldy concrete wall so I will suggest to install some blinds or something. The online pictures need to be updated since the bedroom was relocated. Location is in walking distance to the center of the town.

Great stay. Monica was very responsive throughout. High quality property build and convenient location to beaches and town. Love the fire pit and patio in the back too!

Excellent accommodations! Superseded our expectations and pictures!

Although we anticipated wonderful accommodations in this spacious modern efficiency, everything superseded our expectations. The owners paid great attention to details to ensure a 5 star experience; from the high quality sheets and linens to the well stocked kitchen and spacious storage areas. The large screen TV and ample living area provided the perfect SEC game time. We were a short walk from a large grocery store, downtown, restaurants and more. If we ever get to venture back to Nantucket, Vesper Lane will be out first choice!!
