2 Bed, 2 Bath House centrally located in the heart of Gordon Square, a world-class arts district, retail and dining destination. We're less than a mile from Edgewater Beach, Towpath Trail, and Ohio City and less than 2 miles from Downtown Cleveland! Our contemporary Urban Oasis is a foodie and cook's dream. Amazing restaurants within walking distance and a kitchen outfitted with all the tools you need to create delicious meals. In the summer, enjoy fresh goodies straight from our garden!
Very comfortable, clean and as advertised. Location was convenient for all our activities. We had a few small issues which were satisfactorily attended to by our host without delay. Will definately consider staying at Urban Oasis if ever in Cleveland again.
Super cute house very clean and well-maintained. All necessities were provided. Check in process Was smooth. Great location in Cleveland close to everything we needed. Although the Browns did not win their opening game we had a fantastic weekend!!
This place was perfect for all the touristy things in Cleveland. Everything was thoughtfully prepared for our stay. My dog loved running around the outdoor space. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a great weekend stay at Urban Oasis. Home was clean and had everything we needed. We were able to enjoy the fire pit in the back yard and walk around the local neighborhood. No complaints and would definitely recommend!
Emily was a great host and their place is a well kempt and charming abode in an excellent location. The fully fenced, private yard was perfect myself and my dogs. Loved it!!
Great kitchen, overall cozy house but spacious in the right places. The neighborhood was very quiet. Great yard for hanging out on a sunny Christmas Day. Loved walking to restaurants and coffee shops (Astoria Market, Happy Dog, XYZ). Super easy drive to downtown. Enjoyed it all!
My family enjoyed our stay. The yard is completely fenced in and was bigger than expected which we were able to enjoy with our children and dog. There are several restaurants within walking distance and it was quieter neighborhood than we expected. We had some trouble checking in but the host was extremely responsive to help solve the problem.
The smoke alarms are not placed correctly. There are zero on the second level. The heating system is poor. No heat in the bedroom we slept in. No extra blankets. The parking is extremely bad. The parking pad by the house is small, the neighbor has no respect for space. We had to unload in the street and back in up against the house. But on a positive note, it was very clean. The hosts were excellent. Everything can be solves except the parking.
Emily is a very thoughtful host. We found the home super clean and well stocked. The appliances are new and of high quality. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thanks Emily!
As someone who has never lived in the city we had some apprehensions as we often heard mixed reviews regarding Cleveland. We were pleasantly surprised overall. It appears that many neighborhoods including the one where this house is located are in a transition from urban decay to something more appealing. Many younger people are moving into these older homes and if these once blighted areas continue to improve Cleveland's future is looking very promising..
The house was very nice, but the neighborhood was a bit rundown. If you walk a few blocks, thereâs some nice bars and restaurants. The lake is also in walking distance, which was very nice. Itâs very close to Downtown and we were able to get to all of the tourist attractions very quickly. There was 4 of us and there was plenty of room. As far as the amenities, most of it was great, there was only 3 bath towels, no wash cloths and no paper towels, but we didnât complain to the host because it was an easy fix to get our own. The host did get back with us quickly when we had questions. We had a fun trip
Clean place. Not far from bars and restaurants. Owner was great at communicating. The beds were not that comfortable though and felt like the comforter was dirty and needed to be washed. Had a stain on comforter. But other than that everything was fantastic.
This is one of my favorite stays ever, in a great location for a first time visitor to Cleveland to access Gordon Square, Edgewater Park, and other destinations. Really enjoyed the unit and backyard. The morning after we arrived there was an outdoor market being held a few blocks away, and everyone who was out and about on Detroit Ave was friendly to my dog on our walk. Directions, parking, and access were no problem. We had to ârebootâ the water heater twice as noted in the instructions provided but it didnât take anything away from a fantastic stay
We loved the Urban Oasis. The fenced yard was perfect for us and our pup. The grass is thick and green and I can tell the gardens will be nice in season. Loved the deep bathtub and large walk-in shower. The Kitchen is good looking and a nice size. The owners stocked it well with the necessities. The beach on the lake is a 25 minute walk or 5 minute drive. I feel like I'm simply stating what I knew before showing up, because it was exactly as I expected. There are vacant homes nearby, which give the appearance of sketchiness but we stopped noticing that once we settled in, particularly when we were in the private yard. Over all, we loved it.
We did not know anything about Cleveland, so it was a gamble. The property is not close to Lake Erie, but by car is about 15 minutes. The property is 15-20 minutes from Cleveland Clinic where my daughter needed care and 15 minutes from the airport. You can walk right to the shops and restaurants. The b and b was great if you have a pet. The yard is fenced. The decor, bathroom, kitchen, and closets were amazing. The view is poor. You park in an alley very very close to other homes, but this is normal for Cleveland., but I would stay at this property again. I was surprised at the tremendous amount of mosquitoes in Cleveland, but the weather first part of October was beautiful. We visited Lityle Italy and The ROck and roll hall of fame. Lake Erie is beautiful. You can walk your dog there by the docks and fish, etc.THe Cleveland clinic doctors are world class and healed my daughter, so I will always have a special place in my heart for Cleveland.
The house was very good, almost everything has been renovated. It was nice. Parking next to the house was perfect. A grocery store close by. On the other hand, the area is older and is not the most pleasant to walk. However, we did not feel any risk in walking there. We walked easily to the city center and cycled on the bike paths with no problem. The beach is very close too and the parks are beautiful and well maintained. We experienced some small access issues with the front door code. We quickly got a code for the side door which we used for the duration of our stay. We had a small hot water problem under the sink (quickly detected and fixed by us) during our first day because we used the lever near the sink which gave us very hot water for herbal tea or a tea (there was no kettle).
We needed a temporary home base for a busy long weekend of activities and sightseeing around the Cleveland area. This house worked out very well.
The house is an oasis of modern, clean, comfortable living in a neighborhood where some homes are in need of repair and upkeep. Newer, high-quality finishes and fixtures are evident throughout the house. There is a backyard with two nice, grassy areas and a firepit. The kitchen has everything you would need to keep your crew fed and the bathrooms are spacious with a luxurious style. Living spaces are comfortable and the house is exceptionally clean.
There is only one shower in the house. The main floor bathroom has a nice freestanding bathtub, but no shower. There were two couples for our trip. We had to coordinate on using the shower upstairs throughout our stay but it wasn't a problem for us.
Check in was very easy. Emily emailed us the address and a code for the lock on the entry door.
We didn't encounter any problems during our stay and the house was stocked with everything we needed. I would stay at this house again.
My husband, Jesse, and I are Cleveland transplants. Jesse came into our relationship with two cats, Maya and Saba, and soon after we adopted our wild puppy Jax! We met in Cleveland and began our lives together in this house and are excited to be able to share the joys of our place with others! We both love to cook, entertain and host and truly love the opportunity to show travelers to Cleveland the charm that is Gordon Square. We are very active and have enjoyed endless bike rides, tennis matches, runs, swims, and walks in this area. Can't wait to host you!
Our house is within walking distance to the lake, beach, good restaurants, arts venues, Ohio City, public transportation, and a welcoming, fun neighborhood!! We are a very quick 3-5 minute drive or Uber to Downtown, near all of the professional sports venues. Some of the very best restaurants Cleveland has to offer are less than a block away. In the summer, we look forward to sharing our garden goodies with you. Your dogs and children are always welcome and we are able to accommodate additional needs if given advance warning.
