Cette maison de canal est parfaite pour ceux qui veulent s'évader pour un peu de repos.

Les trois ponts de niveau différents vous permettent de tout, de l'accès facile à l'eau sur le pont inférieur pour la pêche, la natation et la navigation de plaisance; prendre un bain de soleil ou un dîner au coucher du soleil sur le pont central, et pour les romantiques, une soirée isolée avec votre bouteille de vin préférée, en profitant de la magnifique vue sur la baie depuis le pont de la chambre principale.

Situé à 20 minutes de «The Strand», des restaurants, des soirées dansantes et / ou des soirées haut de gamme sont toujours disponibles. Le tristement célèbre Rain Forest Cafe, les jardins Moody et le parc aquatique Schlitterbahn sont des sorties idéales pour toute la famille.

Tout le monde peut s'amuser ... il faudrait essayer de ne pas s'amuser pendant son séjour ... et je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit même possible!

What a wonderful place, Great neighbors, we brought our boat and was very easy access to boat ramp. Would come back anytime, the whole family loved it!

The house was in a perfect location in Jamaica Beach. The house was comfortable and just as advertised. We had a great week! The only thing that I wish would have been better was the outdoor seating areas. The owner was always prompt with his communication.

Pros: Neighbors were nice. Good fishing spot. Caught many different fish. It’s next to a empty lot. Cons: House could use some upgrades. Tub still isn’t fixed.

Nice and quiet

We enjoyed our stay. Great for fishing and the kids loves the location. Only down fall was no wash clothes, and the a/c filter was extremely filthy. The house didn’t cool properly due to that. Family member is an a/c man, thus how we figured out the filter. Had there been a clean one, we would have changed it. Everything else was nice and as advertised. Would certainly book again when coming to this area.

Perfect getaway

House was great! It was a pleasant surprise to find that we were well stocked on dish soap, paper towels, trash bags, etc. I almost always have to make a DG run for at least one of those items when renting a property. We had everything we needed. My ONLY complaint would be that the bbq grill is on its “last leg”, but it held out for us to make enough food to share with the neighbors and then some. We had a free concert from one of the neighbors on our last night, and that alone would be worth going back for. ❤️

Such potential, but wouldn’t stay again due to bugs

This is a cute property in a great location. The house has great space. The decks are amazing and our kids had fun fishing. We weren’t far from the beach. There are some things that need to be fixed as other renters have commented on, none of which bothered us. Unfortunately, there are roaches all in the kitchen, downstairs bathroom and laundry area. I sent messages to the host and never got a response. We were so excited about our trip, and this wasn’t the greatest experience.

Tara, I'm sorry about the roaches. Unfortunately I was out of the country during your stay and didn't see your message until after you checked out. I should have responded to let you know those are German Roaches that come out this time of year. Even though the house is on a quarterly pesticide schedule with Esco Pest Control, I have to schedule a different pesticide application specifically to kill/control the German Roaches. I had that application done after your stay. Again sorry for the issue and not responding. Tom

Jamaica beach beach house

The location is great and is very peaceful and quite. The house is nice but could use some newer furniture. There was no usable outside grill. The electronics, cable, and internet were great. However the house has a really bad problem at night with roaches, they were everywhere. I wanted to pack up and leave that night but I spent a lot of money renting the place and a refund was probably not possible. We had to sleep with the lights on. The washing machine worked well but the dryer does not dry well. If they would get the roach problem under control it would be very nice.

I'm sorry about the roach problem. They are German Roaches and seem to come out at night or in the dark. Esco Pest Control sprays pesticides at the house on a quarterly basis. Unfortunately the standard pesticides they use does not kill German Roaches. For that reason I have to schedule separate spray applications specifically to kill German Roaches, which is done twice a year. Unfortunately the scheduled spray for the German Roaches was the week after your stay.

Great location and floorplan

We had a great time at the property with plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of space. The outside areas were the great. The upstairs deck had a gate so the kids and dog could play without worries. It had a huge picnic table that the kids loved. We enjoyed fishing from the downstairs dock, were able to tie our boat beside it and the kids liked the outside shower. The owner was helpful and quick to respond to questions. There were a few maintenance items to be aware of: a small deep hole next to the east fence by the dock that my granddaughter stepped into on the last night, the lower gates are opened against the walls but have some exposed nails, the grill came apart when we tried to raise the lid and the upstairs tub had a note not to use it. Overall, it was a great property and I would definitely visit again and recommend it.

Home needs some TLC

I will start with the positives, the outside yard, the lower deck and upper deck were amazing. We had dogs, so the upper deck was nice being closed off. The sunset and sunrise views were amazing. It was a great place to fish and gather. The inside of the house needs some TLC, everything that was listed as broke from previous renters was still broke. Broken bar stool in the living area, broken oven door, master bedroom mattress sinks into a middle hole, the bunk beds were very unsteady, broken trailer out front and two rotting tables on the lower deck that we unusable. The fridge had a large leak when we arrived with no response from the VRBO host. A few things fixed up on the inside and this place would be perfect.

Great weekend

The house was very nice and very adequate for our needs. There are a few things that need to be addressed - oven door, shelf in refrigerator, broken bar stools, broken furniture on upper deck. But space in house and location was very nice and we enjoyed it.

Property needs attention

We were a bit let down when we arrived to see an old sofa at the curb, an old broken down boat and trailer in the yard and the rusty grill under the carport is falling apart and can't be used. The sofa in the living room sinks in so bad we couldn't use it. In the master bedroom neighbors can see directly into the room due to no curtains or blinds. The icemaker on the fridge doesn't work. Fishing off of the dock was the best part.

My wife and I, immediately after getting married in 1985, purchased our second home in Jamaica Beach (Galveston). As other properties came available, we purchased them in hopes that someday our five kids would all want to have a 2nd house on the island. We built this house in 2004 and designed it to meet the needs of people who come to the beach to relax and have fun. There is no doubt that being able to get away to Galveston whenever we can has strengthen our marriage, because it automatically puts you in a festive mood when you arrive on the island. The best memories of our lives have been here in Galveston.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The West End of Galveston is the place to own a vacation home. Most of the homes on the West End are second homes. It's isolated from all the traffic, crowds, restaurants, and all the other tourist attractions that people enjoy when they visit Galveston, yet your only 15 minutes away. The West End has a festive atmosphere and everyone is friendly. By 4:00 PM the BBQ pits start getting lit, and the margaritas and cold beer start flowing. There is nothing better than sitting on the deck drinking a good margarita and eating fajitas while you watch the beautiful sunset over the Bay.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

With the house being on the canal, you can get up in the morning and fish off the deck while you enjoy the beautiful sunrise. During the day you can go to the beach and surf, swim, ride jet skis, fish, or just lay out and freshen your tan. If you want to stay at the house, you may just want to make you a good tropical drink and float in the the canal. Or for those days when it's a little to cool to get in the water, you can always lay around on the couch and read a good book. The bottom line, relaxation is the rule for every day in Jamaica Beach.
