Beautiful Open Space in a Wonderful Area near Piazzale Michelangelo Florence
This is an apartment that I remodeled as if it was to be my own special place. Open, full of light, simple but elegant, warm and fresh looking at the same time. A place to welcome friends and family but also a place to work or study. A large room with gas chimney that you can light up with a remote control, the heat is under the wooden floor, the AC is in all rooms which are basically three: bedroom that can be completely connected to the main living room by am amazin sliding door, the living room with a fully equipped kitchen corner and the large entrance that has a reading corner, a desk, a TV and a sofa bed for two people. Then there are two bathrooms, a laundry and a small outside patio. The area is gorgeous and green, just across the Rose Garden which is open to the public every day. You will be surrounded by beauty but just few minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio or Piazzale Michelangelo. There is a lot more to say but I would like you to explore it your way and get your pleasure. I fell in love with the area and the building itself.
This is an exceptional property. Not only is it beautifully furnished and in a great location, it is very thoughtfully supplied with amenities down to the smallest detail. We have had many short term rentals and this is by far the best.
My name is Daniela and I live in Florence since 1983. I moved here becouse I totally fell in love with the town, the Art and Architecture. My husband Gustavo is a retired criminal lawyer who enjoyes going fishing, reading thrillers and cooking. He is the one in charge of shopping for groceries at the Sant'Ambrogio Market and prepare our meals. I enjoy refurbishing apartments and have been doing it in the past 10 years. I also enjoy reading and cinema. My son Luca, who is almost 20 lives in the same building and he studies engineering. he loves sports especially sailing and rafting. He is also a rafting guide. My daughter Sheila lives in Perugia with her companion and they are going to have a baby girl so by the end of July I will be a grandma :) Our family is completed by two dogs and two cats
My husband and I purchased the whole building and divided it in two apartments. This loft is on the ground floor and ours is on th second level. We fell in love with the area and our search went on for five years. In this period of time we saw more than 50 properties but none cought our attention. Then we saw thisone on a Sunday Morning in May. Opening the windows we could see the Rose Garden blossoming with a rich variety of flowers. Such a beauty! We looked at eachother and we knew. So we decided to buy it and remodel it completely from foundations to the roof and it took us quite a while. But now we are very satisfied and we can't wait to share this space with friends and guests.
The benefit of choosing this area is that you will experience being a bit outside of the crowd but you will still be at a short distance from all main museums. The place is a little bit uphill in a very green area. You will be able to take a nice walk and in 5 minutes you will be at The San Miniato Basilica or Piazzale Michelangelo overlooking the most beautiful scenary of Florence at your feet. I find this priceless. If you like jogging this is the perfect place. In few steps you can go on Viale Galileo or down to the River Arno. There are many great restaurants in this area as well as bars. There is a little grocery shop just around the corner. Supermakets and other service like bank or Post Office are a bit further away and you might need a car. Who chooses this apartment is for its unique style and the flavor of living in an elite area that just recently became UNESCO AREA. Parking is not difficult
