Gorgeous Well Equipped Bungalow in the Heart of Portland
The House Our home has an excellent location in a safe, upscale neighborhood with amazing restaurants, bars and shops just a few blocks away. There are beautiful walking streets with hidden staircases right outside our door. Our home is spacious, art filled home that has everything a guest needs. Three comfortable bedrooms (with queen size beds with quality linens and blackout curtains) and bathrooms on the upper and lower - the one on the upper is a luxurious 12x12 marble bathroom that features a double slipper tub. The TV room has an L-shaped couch that will sink into and not want to leave. There is another futon couch in the living room that becomes a double bed. There's a fully equipped cook's kitchen (convection oven, paella pan, wok, instapot, etc) with top-end appliances and an outdoor sitting area.
Guests with mobility issues: We have a bedroom and a 3/4 bath on the main floor. There are just four steps from the walkway to the porch.
Guests with sensitivities: We only use scent-free detergent for our linens and towels. We clean with vinegar and water and/or bleach.
There is free ample street parking available to guests.
If you prefer public transportation the 24 bus line is a one-minute walk from our front door. The Max line is in Hollywood (a mile away) and is a lovely 20-minute walk through a beautiful neighborhood. Electric bike rentals are also nearby.
This is not a party house or an investment rental property. We really live here and want you treat it with the care you would give your own. We make it available because we're retired and travel frequently.
You pay a cleaning fee of $200 that will be used on your departure. Regular three-week cleanings are required (or DIY) and are at the guest's expense.
Any guests wishing to book must submit a photo ID to verify their age.
I had a great stay at this property in Portland and would definitely recommend it with just a minor caveat. The location was fantasticâquiet but still close to downtown, making it easy to explore the city. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy beds.
The host was friendly and communicative, providing helpful tips about the area. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like local coffee and restaurants. All within walking distance.
However, the only downside was that the house was older and had some very steep stairs to the second floor, which can be difficult for older or very young people.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and Iâd definitely stay here again.
This prime location made for a fantastic home away from home within walking distance of many great spots in beautiful Beaumont. We felt right at home and found everything we needed at hand in this lovely bungalow. The hosts were gracious and responsive, and we would definitely stay again!
We booked Julie's wonderful house for my family who were camped out for two months to spend time with their grandchildren. Could not have asked for a better situation all-around for this multi-generational visit. My 98 year-old grandmother was able to sleep comfortably on the first floor and my folks were plenty comfortable upstairs. The location is really incredible; walking distance to everything you'd want to do in Beaumont, and within close range to two wonderful parks.
Julie was very responsive to communication, getting back to me almost immediately if I had a question, and her long-term tenants are lovely and were also helpful as well. Thanks for everything!!
Beyond its excellent location in a safe neighborhood, it is, well, homey. You can relax, bake cookies, watch a movie or do a puzzle (provided), whatever. Our place is very clean and has everything you'd expect in a well-equipped home.
Every bedroom has comfortable bedding and a variety of pillows, the towels are hotel quality and the kitchen should have whatever you need to create a masterpiece of a meal. We provide a variety of different coffee makers. We'd like to think we set it up pretty nicely for ourselves and, we hope, for our guests as well.
