Club 39 Rental In The Heart of The Manistee National Forest

Welcome to Club 39, a spacious getaway located in the heart of the beautiful Manistee Forest on five peaceful acres. A full kitchen features stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher) as well as automatic brew and K-cup coffee makers. The large spacious kitchen is fully stocked with everything from table settings to crockpot, air fryer, electric skillet, pots and pans all the way down to silverware. Open common area includes bar stools at the kitchen counter, beautiful dining space with an oversized table with seating for 10, for having dinner together or playing games. Club 39 is stocked with cards and games for family time. The Lodge style living room is furnished with 3 couches and a comfy chair all surrounding a 14′ beautiful stone fireplace and a 70″ smart flat screen TV with a sound bar. We offer you four (4) bedrooms fully furnished with plenty of room to store your belongings and two and a half (2 1/2) bathrooms with everything you might want during your stay, including hair dryers. Club 39 also has a sitting area with a comfy chair and a desk. Located in the hall is a washer and dryer for your convenience. The sliding door off the kitchen leads to gas and charcoal grills, a fire pit, outdoor furniture and a picnic table. Our home has a covered porch on 3 sides with additional outdoor seating.

Club 39 sits on five acres, nestled in wooded surroundings offering you a quiet place to relax and plan tomorrow’s adventures while creating today’s memories.

No matter what you enjoy doing in the outdoors, it is within minutes of Club 39. The Pine River is just up the road for Michigan’s best river adventures, ORV and Snowmobile trails are a few hundred feet from the back door, as well as trails for hiking and biking the famous cross country trails.

Great woodsy get away

Great location. Beautiful home. Trails and lakes near by. Quiet. No wifi. No central air. Need more comfortable mattresses on the beds.

You are correct we do not advertise that we have wifi or central air. Most of us that live up here do not have central ac, we use things like the whole house fan that is in the rental (open windows at night and close during the day) Hopefully you got to stay in the bedroom that has the window ac unit. The mattresses is a whole other story, they are all brand new high quality medium firm, but everyone has a different kind of mattress that they like.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

This oversized cabin is beautiful! It has a big beautiful kitchen, dining area, and living room! The kitchen was stocked with everything you need (pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc). The living room has three couches, a large flat screen, a fire place, as well as a cozy chair for reading. There is also an area off the living room equipped with a desk and another comfy chair for relaxing and reading. There are three bedrooms with queen beds and a bunk room that sleeps up to 6! The downstairs bedroom takes up the entire downstairs and has its own bathroom and sitting area with lots of storage. Large garage to park your toys! Fire pit and outdoor furniture provided!

Bedbugs

We found bedbugs biting us our first night stay at this property. While the property owner was fast to issue a refund, that does not account for the inability to attend a family reunion, the lost night's sleep, throwing away or heat treating our belongings, and the distress of knowing my children were being bitten for hours before I realized. It is concerning to me that this may have been a known issue, as the mattresses and pillows were encased in plastic, which I have not seen in other VRBOs. I assume that VRBO requires some type of treatment before proceeding with rentals, but bedbugs are notoriously difficult to treat and I am very aggravated that I risked bringing them into my home.

Again, as I told you when you were there, we are extremely sorry that this happened to you. Not only did we issue a refund but we gave you a return free weekend should you choose. This is not been an ongoing issue and we have immediately addressed it once you informed us. The mattresses and pillows are in case in plastic coverings as recommended by vrbo and Airbnb to help prevent this issue, We also had to throw away items and treat everything else with heat, as well as pay a professional exterminator to come in and treat the entire house and reinspect . Once again, we are sorry for any inconvenience. We do pride ourselves in being a premier host, and we want our guest to enjoy their time here.

Great place

This place was great. We came with a group of people to ride the trails. Its very spacious, easy to find and clean. The extra fridge in the garage/play room is a nice bonus. The wrap around porch is beautiful. The kitchen and dining is big enough to have a ton of people cooking and eating with tables in the garage and on the porch for overflow. It has a whole house fan which is awesome and fans in each room. Kept it cool enough without ac. Notes: The basement bedroom doesn't have a door. So Whomever gets that room also gets the noise and lights from whomever is upstairs. But it has its own bathroom so that's a bonus The middle bedroom has an attached bathroom that is accessible from the entryway. but the doors don't lock on the bathroom which is awkward. The bedroom at the end of the hall has a wall AC - but im not real sure where it drains too... The bathroom with the shower is good. We didn't run out of water or towels with the amount of people with us. I would bring extra garbage bags. There was only 1 big black bag and 2 white ones. And we had more garbage than that and had to get some. If you bring little kids that aren't old enough to ride the trails yet but have there own ride ons they don't have a place to ride because there is no riding on this property. Other wise this place was great! You are right in the middle of all the trails and its very spacious.

We enjoy the outdoors, riding our side by side around in the woods. Dave volunteers his time to Groom the trails and Vikki enjoys rock collecting.

We chose this property because it is only a few hundred feet from the trails. Is off a blacktop road as well as a dirt side road. It is between Club 37 and Luther, so close to places to eat and fuel up the machines.
