Looking to escape the city lights and see bright stars for a few days?

This private log home is nestled among the maples, cedars, spruce, and birch trees. The landscaping is beautiful with three gardens for your pleasure with flowers that bloom from spring to fall. It also has a fire pit that looks out over the lake that you can enjoy during a beautiful sunset.

Make the Bayside Log Home your vacation home this year. It has 225' of shore frontage with its beautiful sunsets. Enjoy the wind blowing through your hair while gazing upon the water.

There is a sandy public beach for swimming and fishing within walking distance of the home as well.

This property has been rented for 10 years but we had to create a new page this year hence the reason for limited reviews. In the past, our place was a 4.6 star.

We have just returned from a week in Heaven! Gorgeous log cabin, but the patio, fire pit and the view blew this place out of the water. The sounds from the waves and a crackling fire made it so peaceful. Door County was friendly and very charming. We were there during the prime cherry picking and enjoyed the wineries. I 1000 percent recommend this place. The only thing we regret is time went so fast.

Great, scenic location. Lots of space, although remember there is just one bathroom when you are preparing to go out with a larger family.

Ideal location!

Wonderful property with great sunset views. Very clean and well appointed. Plenty of outside seating and tables. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend this place. It was a great, relaxing getaway.

Loved It

My family enjoyed our stay!! It was a great location. Far enough from town to feel secluded, yet close enough to drive to restaurants and a little rocky beach. The view was amazing and the sound of the water was therapeutic. I’d definitely book this house again.

Fischer Family (we'll be back)

This was our second time staying at this cabin, so it works well for us as a home base in Door County, and we're already talking about our next stay there. We like the space the outdoor access to the water, and the number of beds and sleeping options. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and we have nadw some great family memories there.

Breathtaking Views

The jewel of this rental is it's location. It was so peaceful. The lake view and sounds of the waves lapping on shore provided us many hours of relaxation as we simply sat by the lake and listened, or enjoyed morning coffee as the sun rose. My husband really enjoyed the fire pit. The cabin is a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Great quiet getaway

Beautiful setting on the lake. Quiet, secluded, very private. Nice place, very clean. Could tell it was well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much. One small issue was we believed that there was a outside grill but there was not. We adapted, but others may not. Overall a great relaxing stay.

Beautiful location!

The cabin was as described with no surprises. We really enjoyed the view and property. Morning coffee listening to the water and evening sunset cocktails were a perfect addition to vacation. It was also a convenient location near Egg Harbor - close enough to everything but far enough away to avoid the holiday traffic when we wanted. Very relaxing week in Door County.

Charming Cottage on the bay

Lovely cabin with a very charming atmosphere. Loved being on the lake and falling asleep listening to the waves crashing on the shore. Plenty of room, comfy beds and furnishings. Great amenities oitdoors as well. Communication with staff was prompt. We did have an issue with the shower which would not drain properly leaving standing water in the new shower. So my partner only used it quickly once. That was a bummer since it was so hot out. I was told this was being fixed as soon as we left. They offered to have somone come to repair the problem while we were there but we still would have had to wait 24 hours or so to use it so we declined since our trip was short. We were thankful for the prompt communication. The photos on your site dont do it justice. I have attached some of mine.

Just Perfect

When our family walked up we were instantly in love! The cabin is a mixture of quaint and modern with AMAZING VIEWS! The gardens were absolutely stunning against the home and view! Our only recommendation would be to have access to a washer and dryer being on a lake you do go through some times of need to dry or wash. We would definitely stay again! Thank you so much for allowing our fur kids, too! They had never gone with us on a vacation and they LOVED being on the water! We will be coming back!

Lightning issues

My major complaint about the property would be poor first floor lighting and multiple light switches that didn’t work. I was always unhappy with the fact that I had to provide my own towels. This fact should have been highlighted better.

The property had a beautiful view, and the location was close to Egg Harbor. The email that I received stated check in was at 4pm and checkout was at 11 am, but on the refrigerator the times were different. Check in was at 3 pm and checkout was at 10 am. So we were a bit rushed to leave the property at 10 am. It would have been nice to have extra toilet paper instead of 1 roll for 3 days for three ladies. I would definitely stay there again, but bring a few rolls of toilet paper and kleenax. lol

Paradise

Whatever you see in the picture and description of the property is accurate but even better in person. The sunset is amazing, along with the sounds of the water and nature. You can see different kind of birds crossing and my 2 corgis had so much fun barking on them thinking they can catch up. Water was cold but that did not stop my fur babies from swimming. My daughter and I did the "cold plunge" but ended up swimming because it was actually tolerably cold and refreshing. We spend our days outside grilling, playing corn holes and board games. We tried fishing but we were not lucky. The place is very private and solemn. We love the pier, especially early morning, great space to meditate and "reflect", lol. At night, we enjoyed bonfires. The inside of the house is like from a storybook, very "homey" and relaxing. There were a lot of books around the house to read. TV and wifi were okay. We were supposed to explore the town but we were just content staying home and enjoying this paradise. We are a family of 4 with 2 corgis and we had a lot of fun! The location and lake views were beautiful, especially the sunsets. The cabin itself was musty, dusty, and could use a deep clean and some updates. Having to bring our own towels was also inconvenient. Gorgeous spot, but the place needs work.
