Beautiful 2 Bed/1 Bath & Sofa Bed Near Union Station

Very easy access to public transportation, we frequently walked to the street car stop and got to union station for the metro very easily. Apartment was clean and quiet.
Check-in was easy enough. I had to message the owner for check-in info, but he got back to me quickly. The off-street parking is nice to have. We drove our van, so private, off-street parking was important to us. The apartment was just as pictured in the listing. The owner had the TV set to a fireplace with relaxing music playing. Nice touch. Our son, who is on the autism spectrum and feeling the stress of riding through the heart of DC during rush, immediately sat on the couch and relaxed while we unloaded the van. The WiFi was stable and reliable. The refrigerator, microwave, and gas stove were top notch. I travel with my cast iron, but if you need to know, the cookware/bakeware is mostly glass or stainless steel. I missed my stainless steel cooking tools though. (I forgot them.) But there is enough to make do. No large pot. But if you need anything, you could probably just ask. The owner is in the building. We slept good. The neighborhood is quiet, and the beds are comfortable. My only critique would be storage in the bedrooms. My husband does not prefer living out of his suitcase, but he survived lol.
The property was a good value. The free street car was only a few walking blocks away which immediately leads to the subway. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. The linen's resemble that of a holiday inn. The only suggestion I have for the owner is to add an additional night stand to the master bedroom with some sort of power plugin or u s b.
Our family of five spent a few nights here while visiting the DC sites. When driving into town, the neighborhood made us very nervous, but as we approached the property, it seemed to be ok.
We were within 15 minutes of Arlington cemetery and other things were closer. Parking took longer than driving.
If our family of five wanted to spend much time there, it would have been pretty small, but since we were gone all day and just needed a place to eat, shower, and sleep, it provided that.
Suggestions for owner since new VRBO listing: bathroom washcloths, broom and dustpan, Kleenex, bowls, and a smaller pot in addition to larger one.
The owner was kind and willing to help, met us and handed the keys to us upon arrival. He lives in the upstairs apartment.
