Our family really enjoyed staying in Frankâs basement apartment! Great location, comfortable apartment, loved having a kitchen to use, and Frank was wry communicative. We highly recommend!
Had a great time staying at Frank's place. Anything you'll need, he's provided. Fantastic communication. A great location and a perfect stay. Thank you Frank!
This listing was great for us as it was close to so many restaurants. Walking distance to the Metro and bus stops. We left our car parked in the same spot all week as we walked or used the easily accessible public transit. The home itself was very organized and detailed instructions left by the host with every question we could have had.
Loved staying at this property! An under 10 minute walk to the Green Line station and many restaurants. Parking was easy to find and the owner was very helpful in getting the permit and the check-in / check-out process. 10/10 would definitely recommend staying here.
The owner immediately fix an issue we had during our stay. Excellent communication from checkon to checkout. Location is close to restaurant s and Traders Joe
Favorite things - the host's quick response to inquiries, location to bus line and restaurants, and free parking. Nice size for a couple and a comfortable bed, too.It is a basement apartment with little natural light and a little damp. It was clean, but would benefit from a deeper clean.I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Very easy to find & close street parking. Apartment had everything we needed including stocked kitchen & laundry. Very nice decor & huge comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Loved the neighborhood & all dining options close by. Hostwawassnnicesfriendly
Excellent apartment. Great location, close to metro stations, shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need.
Our family of four (my spouse and our two daughters, ages 13 and 9) stayed in Frank's basement apartment in June 2025 and we had an absolutely delightful time. Check in was very easy, the apartment was very well-stocked (thankfully, he even had umbrellas! We had forgotten to bring ours and they definitely came in handy!), and the location was excellent! We found it very easy to get around from where we were whether by walking, biking (there are so many great bike lanes!), or metro. There was a Trader Joe's just a few blocks away along with a number of restaurants, cafes, and shops. We felt very safe in this neighborhood and took frequent evening strolls around. I would highly recommend this space to friends visiting the city!
Everything was perfectâŠthe accommodations, the location, the property manager, the priceâŠwe couldnât have asked for anything more! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to everyone!!
Frankâs basement house was perfect for our family of 4. The kids slept on the pullout couch and we were also able to cook meals at night. The location was perfect to take a quick uber to all the sites in DC. Frank was also great at communicating. Would definitely recommend!
Great little spot to be our home base while we toured the capital. Host was great and really takes his guests comfort into account. It is a thoughtfully set up little apartment.
Overall, this is a great apartment in a beautiful location-easy to public transportation and walking distance to major attractions as well as great cafes, bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!
Our stay with Frank was perfect! Frank was extremely communicative and helpful. Our stay was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was really walkable and easy to get to public transportation. The kitchen was pretty well outfitted and youâre just a short walk to Trader Joeâs and some wonderful restaurants! We had a perfect stay and I will definitely be staying with Frank again if we make our way back to DC.
Frank was very communicative, and the apartment was well stocked and prepared for short term guests. The location was great as well, we could walk 5 minutes and enjoy many restaurants and 40 minutes to the mall. We felt safe staying here, too. Thanks for the great apartment!
This was a nice basement apartment in a really great neighborhood. The restaurants in the area were great and easy to walk to. It was a really comfortable stay and Frank was great with communication!
Having never visited Washington before - wanted to stay somewhat close to the sites and action but in a neighborhood with a fun local vibe - this delivered on both of these. Close to the metro and lots of bus stops - was also easy to grab coffee or a late night drink. Frank was polite and prompt and the place was exactly as described. Would stay here again.
I'm a classical musician who's lived in Washington DC for 25 years. It's a great city in so many ways, I'm glad I can share my basement apartment with visitors from around the world. I live in the main house above the apartment, so I'm easily available to assist guests with their visits in the national's capital.
I love my neighborhood with its historical townhouses and apartment buildings, restaurants, shops and nearby public transportation. Though in the heart of Washington, the apartment is in a residential neighborhood populated with a wide variety of residents, including young Congressional and White House staffers, young families, couples and singles from all over the world. (Few people in DC are actually from DC!) One of the coolest things about where I live is the giant Masonic House of the Temple, located right across the street from the apartment. The building was designed by John Russell Pope, architect of the Jefferson Memorial and the National Archives, and it's one of the most impressive buildings in Washington. It serves as the Southern Headquarters for the 33rd degree of Scottish Rite Masonry, and a tour of the building is fascinating and entertaining. If you're a Dan Brown fan, the building plays a pivotal part in his novel, 'The Lost Symbol.'
